Look, I don't care for JBJ after what he tried to pull with the Bills, but I grew up with his music and appreciated it for what it was. "Wanted Dead or Alive" is an all-time great song, "Lay Your Hands On Me" is IMHO a great rock song and I can tolerate the rest.
But look at Wikipedia for his actual story. Suffice it to say that Jersey didn't (help) make him at all and he has just as much staying power as those other bands, if not more. And again he was exactly what MTV and record companies were looking for after Quiet Riot showed that pop/glam metal could be profitable.
