  1. Compared to last week's excellent gameplan, ball control and level-headed play calling, the fake field goal, the no-challenge and the JP rollout inside the five was surprising. Hate to say it, but they reminded me of last year's team - the same team I thought the Bills were much better than last week.
  2. Eagles over Texans. Only thing close to being a gimme.
  3. Interesting graph (8) near the bottom.
  4. Kind of a d!ck move if you ask me.
  5. It has always amazed me that day after day mics are stuck in the faces of so many players by reporters and for the most part players give the standard "Bull Durham" reply ... "Just trying to help the ball club." I'd wager most of us on this board - the average joe - would probably end up coming off as arrogant or stupid a majority of the time if we were forced to give the amount of press J.P. or any pro player does. J.P. does seem like he has more to say than the average QB. He is not going to give the standard "Bull Durham" reply. Some front offices would look at that as a problem however. But part the reason he was drafted so high was because of his "swagger." I look at that trait as something that turns a good player into a great one. I am not convinced the other players in the locker room - or even Marv - look at it the same way. But hopefully we'll get a chance to talk about his play more often than we do about how he come off in the media.
  6. This guy's a little slow... 18. FALCONS It seems like most people soured on Michael Vick at the end of last year, but the Falcons fell apart because their defense fell apart. If the Falcons fix their rush defense, which was worst in the league, they will be back in the playoffs. The addition of safety Lawyer Milloy and return to health of middle linebacker Ed Hartwell should help in that area. John Abraham. Yello? But here's the guy's excuse for being a dunski: "These power rankings are very different from the ones we do during the year. Usually, the FOXSports.com power rankings are entirely based on objective numbers, using the innovative stats from Football Outsiders. We don't have any stats for the summertime, however, so these rankings are entirely subjective. Each of the Football Outsiders writers ranked all 32 teams based on how they finished 2005 and the off-season moves they've made in 2006, and the rankings below represent the average of our opinions." The average of sh-- is p!ss.
  7. I am amazed at how many people are on McNabb's jock. The guy's throws are all over the place and he looked good because of TO. Without TO, McNabb has a weak WR corps - though it is better than the Freddie Mitchell, Todd Pinkton, James Thrash crew. And they still have no running game. Westbrook was great out of the backfield because TO spread the field. McNabb's stats looked good because of his dump passes out of the backfield to Westbrook. They still can't stop the run on D. On the positive ... they did have the draft I wanted the Bills to have though.
  8. Escargo McCargo 160 swiftly
  9. This is better than the draft.
  10. RB, FB and QB is not where we needed help on the offensive side of the ball. We got A-Train, Shelton is fine and we need another QB like a hole in the head.
  11. I think as time goes on we are going to hear more about how people wanted Whitner and McCargo and the picks - and trade - were justified.
  12. I think King is valuable and though he's got some work to do, he has flashes of Winfield and can step in and make a play. Let's face it, Jauron's Bears won games on defense and I'd say if the Bills can muster up a D 75 percent as good, they still have a better offense than the playoff Bears did. Jauron must've convinced Marv and Modrak of this and the plan was exercised to its fullest. While the picks weren't as flashy as many of us may have liked, the defense is going to be killer in the next few years if McCargo can show us why the front office went for him. I will say I liked the Eagles draft. If the Bills would have made the same picks, many of us may have given the Bills an A.
  13. My nerves have settled. I say B-. Donte is an immediate starter. McCargo, Youboty and Simpson all have a chance to be studs and will help the defense climb out of the cellar The three d-backs set us up with possibly dominant defensive backfield for years to come.
  14. It always made me sick to watch him make contact and get dragged five yards down the field before the opposing player was hit by someone else or stepped on Kelso's sternum and tripped. A few times this resulted in Kelso getting dragged in the endzone. But he was one of those "good character guys" so who cares how he played.
  15. Ricky Williams - the first man ever to be addicted to weed. Thanks Rick - toke it brother.
  16. The Bills will beat Miami. No doubt. Who knows about Daunte, Ricky ...
  17. I agree ... and if any of those high-profile dancin' and prop using TD scorers were doing it for the Bills and grabbing SportsCenter highlights every Sunday most of the haters would be all for it.
  18. I know you are but what am I?
  19. Andre Johnson Eric Moulds Dom Davis Reggie Bush David Carr Still a crappy line Not that bad
  20. Andre Johnson
  21. It's W-I-P and they're not too bright on that station about their own teams let alone the Bills. But hey, Jabar Gaffney went from the Texans to the Eagles so maybe they have an in from Jabar. Funny too how Reggie Brown, Jabar and Greg Lewis are their recievers. And people on this mill think the Bills have it bad.
  22. Duckett was a first-round pick a few years ago and takes almost every handoff on the goal line. He is major cog in the DVD - Dunn, Vick, Duckett - combo that has made the Falcons the best rushing team in the past few years. Would I trade Moulds for Duckett? Yes. But the Falcons would probably want a lot more than EM for TJ.
  23. He'll make more now than if he stayed quiet in Philly. He played them perfectly. TO wouldn't be a good fit in Buffalo. But I loved it when he burned the Eagles and ruined their franchise for years to come.
