DDT was devastating to birds of prey, thankfully it was banned in this country... I noticed redtail hawks sightings increase in the mid 90's along with falcons and eagles coming back...First time I saw a eagle was 4 years ago while saltwater fishing, the eagle attempted to pluck a fish out of the water and missed.. Went back up circling and swooped again, another miss... Third time came down and smashed the water, pulled up what looked to be a 2lb.mullet, that was awesome .... The wildlife is coming back, again thanks to those who cared to clean up the poisons that were the blame... I remember in the 70's the rivers would change colors weekly red, yellow, and tan along sections of rivers that ran through mill industrial areas, if you wanted to see a eagle, you watched wild america or grizzly adams on tv...

Great area to have a cottage, went to maine this summer for a couple a days and drove past the bush cottage in kennebunkport, bush senior has gotta love the fishing from that spot, then proceeded to a typical maine coastal town just south of portland ayuh, love the downeast accent, I have the m!@#$, accent say three words everyone knows where your from In newburyport, if you have'nt been try plum island, bridge accessable... great beaches and pretty good surf for boogie boarding, also has dunes and neat walkways to observe the marsh and birds...

Did you eat at browns or marky's for seafood , they're actually in seabrook but well known as the place to eat while at hampton beach....One time I was eating on the deck at marky's when a couple a kids were tossing lobster heads and frenchfries to the gulls, and the gulls would hover and swoop for scraps, the kids were throwing. Then I heard loud splashing below deck in the blackwater river? I look over the side of the deck in the water, wow stripers on a feeding frenzy, anyway found a new fishing hole... The stripers were even smashing the french fries,probally could tie a imatation frenchfry and slayem..

Will the U.S. military have a permanent prescence in iraq similar to korea ? Considering now that iraq is being held together with U.S. MILITARY and if they pulled out like they did in vietnam, iraq would become a terrorist state ? To reflect back on the decision to go in iraq, I thought they should have let the inspectors keep searching... I remember rumsfeld saying he knew where the wmd,s were .... Hopefully the U.S. can stabalize iraq and leave..

I have read some books on world war 2, and one them was the battan death march... The japanese were a brutal military at that time.... As for todays war with A.Q. in afghanistan, to the bitter end.....

I would'nt use wd 40 as subsitute for cooking spray, I am sure it work's... As for use as a stain remover on carpet, the oil residue on surface of the yarn's in the carpet will act like a sponge to dust... And the new stain will resemble an oilspot on your driveway.. That is why I reccomend useing ''spotshot'', is drycleaning fluid in a aerosol can..Spray on blot out no need to to remove cleaning residue...
