What do you think of borders?
cromagnum replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Did I SAY it was a right, I said it was exspensive and has been getting less affordable, and one reason you can attribite that to is cheap labor recieving unpaid healthcare....You have learned well, to change the discussion, by chance do you listen to radio, your tactics sound familar. -
Hope you did'nt mind me posting that, I could'nt help it was too funny , oreilly is briilliant

Illegal alien's are needed to drive down wages and swamp the social services, like hospitals, to ensure health insurance remains exspensive. Why do I say that? My wages are down due to the employers, hiring cheap illegal labor. And health insurance, what's that , oh ya that thing I can't afford, and is getting more exspensive to help offset the cost associated, with illegals recieving unpaid healthcare.. -
Here's is bill oreilly, claiming he would run iraq like saddam hussein, to prevent the widespread violence. http://mediamatters.org/items/200606200008

When there is documented proof with video, showing that the administration purposely told the american public that they found wmd's ( bio-chem mobile labs) month's after it was proven that in fact it was( weather- balloon trucks)..What media source would be acceptable to say the same thing as the one I provided. -

I respect your opinion, but there is quite a bit of info exposing the administration as untruthful. Look at bush's speech in cincinatti, he did not use (yellow cake document) why? because the cia told him it was a forgery. Few month's later, state of the union address to the american public he use's the yellow cake story as proof that saddam is trying to build a nuclar bomb. Then when the story breaks open, that the niger document concerning yellow cake is a forgery to the public, condi rice explains that bush simply forgot because of the fog of time -

Good job guys, here's a raise

I understand your point. As I said I am trying to find data that backs up ,that raising the min/wage helps the economy rather than hurt it... And there is cases where states raised the rate above federal min/wage, and thats where you can test the argument against, just word's..All we gotta do is look. -

I posted a video link where a debate was in process over the min/wage, where john stossel repeated the talking points of raise the wage and lose jobs.( that video now is changed to crazy connie chung, for some reason. The counter point was, states have raised the min/wage above the federal level and in fact more jobs were created due to more money being put into the local economy by min/wage workers, there is documented data, since it was enacted. John stossel confronted with this info, retalliated with (well maybe we should raise the wage to 10-20-30-50 dollars per hr, to change the discussion) -

My point was raising the minimum wage to address the cost of living increases after 8 years. I researched some articles discussing the issue, here's one link about the wallstreet journals opinion's, being dissected. http://www.epi.org/content.cfm/webfeatures...wpoints_slayers -
You could lump me in with the democrat crowd(I'm sure you already did) but I'm trying to understand the issues to make a more educated decision. I agree with you on the nafta and right now this highway appears to be another blow against the unions and big plus for the walmarts of this country.

Apparently new jersey raised the minimum on oct 1, 05 from 5.15 to 6.15. Has it caused employers state wide to drop employees? Theres some data to look into, to see what effect it has on employers and how they handled it. -

Right now the only positive I know is, since the wage was set at 5.15 per hr. 8 years ago the cost of living has increased 17%.. Care to show me the data where raising the minimum wage to meet cost of living after 8 years, will cause employers nationwide, to drop employees .. -
Sweet, two thumbs way up.

Excuse the bump of my own thread. When I initially opened it I thought it was conspiracy type article and was a fabrication. Upon further review it appears legit and would like to hear opinions not demanding, just asking, man You got some pretty sharp minds in this forum and I would like to here your take on it, and hopefully it's not bush bad, although if it actually is, that ok too... It sure look's to be bad, for union working americans.

History of the world part II.... The senate was in sesion deciding what to do with the revenues? The choice was, '' Shall we continue to build palace after palace for the rich, or give to the needy and the poor'', where by then the senate stood up in unison and said !@#$ the poor. The last time minimum wage was increased was in 97. During that same period the senate gave themselves multiple raises totaling $28.000 a year. -

I don't have hbo, but I did rent for free the first two seasons my library.. That was a couple years ago, need to get back and rent the following seasons. While watching the show I actually reconized some of the locations from my days going to dead shows at the meadowlands, and staying at various motels and camping in the weeds along patterson plank rd... Nothing like wakeing up, and crawling out the tent ,putting on some coffee while dae woo workers are walking by you getting ready to punch in at some humongous industial bld. that I camped next to..
