  1. After a quick English class.... First you have to get past the whole QB/OL -- chicken/egg debate. Personally, I think OL is more important. I love McClain and think he's a can't miss prospect, but when you look at how many holes this team has, you have to also consider value throughout the draft. By the time we pick in the second round, we'd probably be looking at roughly the 7th or 8th OT taken (if not more). You're already looking at "iffy" starting potential at that point (at least for a LT). Meanwhile, we can still probably pick up a very good MLB (possibly even Spikes if we got that lucky, but at worst probably Angerer who was awesome at Iowa). I'm horrible at watching/judging O-linemen, so I stay out of those debates. But simply put, if the Bills FO thinks they can find a starting LT at the #9, they need to jump on it.
  2. I'm a big supporter of Pike and think that he'll be a good QB in a few years, but based on his Senior Bowl week, he will almost certainly slip to the 3rd round and if he doesn't have a good combine/workout he may be available in the 4th.
  3. You're right, his play does fit the position well. If he made it to the 3rd I'd be happy to see him stay in WNY.
  4. Cooper in the 6th would be a steal, but I can't see him making it past round 3. He had a great senior season and from all the reports I read kicked butt during Senior Bowl week.
  5. I've seen him listed at G (for NFL) in a few places. Didn't see a single Indiana game this year, so I have no clue about the guy.
  6. Very similar to this guy: Career 66.4% Comp. Perc.; 9,285 yards; 88td; 16int; 164.17 rating Pretty amazing considering he also had: Career: 692 rushes, 2,947 yrds, 57 TD's This is also proof that college stats don't mean crap when you're talking about transition to the NFL.
  7. Based on who is available after our pick, there wouldn't be a question in my mind about taking Spikes. He and Poz inside would be a very nice combo. My first choice there would be to trade up and get Cody. His benefit to the 3-4 would be huge. If a WR had to be the choice, I'd rather have Gilyard over Thomas. But it's hard to know much about Thomas given the system that was being run at GT last season.
  8. I saw him play a few times this year and was impressed, but he didn't come across as a guy that fit in the 3-4 NT. He seemed to do well with getting off blocks and chasing down plays, but not so much closing holes and taking up blockers. Do you think he could handle it?
  9. Absolutely. I forgot about Ellis in all of this. No idea if he'll be able to transition, but if he can it would be a big for him and the team.
  10. I don't know that anything would be different if it hadn't happened, but he was never the same after that concussion. Before that he seemed to making decent progress and was slinging the ball around. After, he became captain checkdown.
  11. How about Buffalo instead of New Orleans?
  12. I like that one.
  13. I'm kind of sick of those commercials too, but I thought the "milkaWHAT?" was pretty funny.
  14. Not trying to stack him up to any all time greats, but a guy a really like right now is Glen Hansard, who was in the movie/sang the songs for Once. That guy can really belt it out.
  15. That's exactly what he said in his next sentence.
  16. 11 Too easy!
  17. Loved that game! I remember there were codes to play as Bill Clinton or Al Gore (amongst others).
  18. With McClain gone, it's a tough choice. Personally, I think you still have to go OL. There are some great QB prospects for next year. Let's get the line to protect them.
  19. I still hope he can come back, but I would be completely shocked if he is playing at the start of the season.
  20. I don't have a problem with early mock drafts, I was just responding to BillsVet saying how can you criticize a mock so early. My point was that if criticism isn't okay, it shouldn't be published. And as for the rest of it (advertising), that's exactly my point. Throw out picks that no one is expecting so that you get more hits on your site.
  21. You must be the pot I hear so much about. If it's too early to do a mock, then why do it? And if you're going to do one before the combine and workouts, and before your sources have any info for you, then what are you basing your mock off of? Has to be college performance, right? If he is basing this off college game performance, there is no way in hell that Suh isn't the first DT taken. His explanation didn't even make sense. Suh didn't have some late season rise that came out of nowhere. He was the highest rated DT before the season and was phenomenal all season long. The only explanation for the order in his draft is that he's trying to get people talking about his mock, period. It's a gimmick, nothing more.
