  1. At least it will be quiet.
  2. Probably depends on the population, but yes, I think as long as he's patient he can take them all out.
  3. Not looking good....especially these power plays. But not over yet! EDIT: There we go!!
  4. Shorter games are easy...cut back on the commercials! I understand your point, but sudden death doesn't guarantee shorter games. Not to mention OT games bring in viewers. I love the college overtime system. IMO it's one of the things that make the whole college football experience great. That said, I'd never want to see it in the NFL. It's too "gimmicky" for the pro game.
  5. Not sure Morgan fits the system, but even if he does, IMO if we miss out on the top OT's and QB's, trading down and getting more picks is the best move for the team.
  6. If that actually happened, there would almost certainly be some great trade-down opportunities with teams salivating over Berry and Haden.
  7. Why do people keep saying this? What does a football game full of rules and regulations have to do with life? The whole point of sports is that the rules are set up to be fair to all sides (with the exception of the pats*). That's why one team gets the ball to start the game and the other team gets it to start the half. The whole idea is to even out the playing field. Admitting that the current rules aren't fair and blaming it on life is pretty ridiculous. If someone wants to use the "defense is part of the game" argument, okay. I don't agree with that as a reason not to let each team have time with the ball, but at least it's a reasonable argument.
  8. I'm glad they're looking at ways to change OT, but I don't really understand the idea behind only making the change for the playoffs. If it's determined that the current system isn't good enough, why only make the change to post-season?
  9. Need to stop giving the ball away!
  10. Stefon Johnson gets 12 reps! Must have been nervous....wonder how many spotters he had? Saw him in an interview yesterday, still having trouble talking. Must have been a nightmare.
  11. Okay, thanks. I figured that had to be right, but after hearing it said wrong something like 4 dozen times today (including in that Wiki link) I thought maybe I was wrong.
  12. Hopefully the Dome's in good shape....it's gonna be shaking tonight!
  13. So since it's an order of magnitude talking about size would be correct? Power just seems more logical.
  14. Random question here, but what's the correct terminology to describe an earthquake? I keep hearing things like biggest, largest, and even hugest. I would have thought something like "most powerful" would be more accurate. Am I wrong? I assume they are not talking about the size of the area because after they say something like, "one of the biggest earthquakes ever recorded," they go on to talk about the 8.8 measurement.
  15. Looking promising so far for very little damage. Keeping fingers crossed!
  16. Gott love em.
  17. Not that I think it would happen, but with the new draft schedule, if Claussen were to fall out of the first round teams needing a QB would have all night to work out trades to get into the top of the second round to take him. Couldn't see any possibility that he would fall to the 9th pick of the second round, and the Bills have too many needs to lose picks on trade ups.
  18. You just can't win around here. First he was a loser because he couldn't even get is weight under control when his future and millions of dollars depended on it (senior bowl). Then when he does get his weight down when his future and millions of dollars depend on it (combine) he's still a loser because he only did it because his future and millions of dollars depended on it! And he was the same dominating presence in every game he played in, including his post season games THAT HE WON. So what does his weight during those games have to do with anything? Screw it, he should go undrafted and then come crawling into Buffalo on his hands and knees begging for a chance to sign with the team. If he does that, then MAYBE he's worth it. MAYBE.
  19. Yep, me too! I like how the perfectly fit group of people start giving up about 3/4 of the way through.
  20. All I've seen is 223. Where did you see 212?
  21. Agree with all of this. Insanity really does live up to its name. It's the most intense workout I've ever done. Which is great, but for me, is also a bit of a problem. I enjoy intense workouts, but these are so ridiculous it turned me off after awhile. Day after day of it is just too much. That's why I'm going to mix P90X and Insanity. I'm just going to change out Plyo (the easiest Insanity workout puts Plyo to shame), Kenpo, and Yoga with Insanity workouts, and move Yoga to my "off" day. I think scaling back Insanity to 3 days a week and getting the benefit of the P90X weight workouts is going to be a great program. I'll update how it works out on the Health and Fitness board. It may be a while though. I'm still debating starting this up in April. I have been off workouts now for going on 3 months, so I think it may be too intense to start with that right away. I may do some light weightlifting and train up for a half marathon first and then start on this. We'll see how I feel and how my knees hold up to running this time around. Anyway, back to your original question....If you enjoy Plyo (and that type of intense workout) but are getting board, Insanity is great. If you're thinking about doing the Insanity program, note that you're not going to get the muscle training you do in P90X, but you're cardio will go through the roof. IMO, it's probably as close to "professional athlete" type workout that I can think of. As for the "Max" Insanity workouts, really they are more of the same type of workouts but longer.
  22. I've gone through it before, but haven't been using it lately because I've been moving. Plan on starting a combination of P90X and Insanity in April.
  23. Holy crap! part 2
  24. Yeah, or he got NERVOUS public speaking, like most of the population.
  25. 3. Rams need a QB way more than a DT.
