  1. Even with the problems I think he probably could have been a second round pick if it wasn't for leaving the team last year. Red flags up all over the place with this kid. I think his talent is worth spending a very late pick on (6th or 7th), but I'd guess he'll go earlier than that. Not worth it if you ask me.
  2. Christ, nice rant. Again, I said it's NOT a long term fix. I don't think Campbell is okay just because he's a 5th round pick, but I also don't think a rookie is the answer for this team. This team needs too much this year, it's not all going to get fixed. But if they can focus on fixing the lines in the first couple rounds and go after their QB next season, I think that's the best answer. IN THE MEAN TIME, what would it hurt to have another guy fighting for the QB job? I have no idea where this "economy" rant you went on came from. Knowing that it's better to set the lines instead of blowing your picks on a bunch of over-hyped rookies has nothing to do with economy. Either does trying to find the best guy (even if the best means not very good) until you are able to bring in the long term answer.
  3. I feel the same way. I would take Campbell for a 5th in a second and let him come in as the 4th QB and compete for the starting job. Certainly not the long term QB answer, but decent stop-gap while we take the time to straighten the lines out.
  4. There's so much crap thrown (ahem) around here it's actually kind of unreasonable to think a post like this wasn't going to be met with cynicism. That said, if I'd been one of those making snide comments (probably the only reason I wasn't was timing), I would be sure to publicly eat crow after finding out it was true.
  5. Snead was awful last year, but I think he'd be a great pickup with a later round pick (6 or 7). He's got the physical tools and has shown he does have some ability, he just needs everything to click. I would take that gamble with a late draft pick hoping that he can develop into a dependable back-up with a very (very) outside chance of getting everything together and being a starter. But my guess is someone will take in the 4th or 5th round. I think the Bills have more pressing needs than backup QB that need to be addressed with those earlier picks.
  6. Settle down, Nancy.
  7. Which is exactly what everyone is saying.
  8. I agree that you should look into it. Even if it doesn't help for this particular job, you should continue trying to get those points added so they will be there for the next opening.
  9. I thought the game was lost when they put Jackson back in at the end. Every time he came out they played better. I understand the desire to have your biggest guy in there, but I cringed when he came back in the game.
  10. That's cause Bills WR's tend to suck every year.
  11. If they're not planning on playing Mitchell outside, I think we are most certainly looking at an OLB very early in the draft.
  12. I know you said you've used them, I think using them is different than owning one and always having it available. Anyway, the Nook uses E-book, open source so you should be able to find almost anything you want, maybe just not on the BN site.
  13. I pre-ordered a nook just before they were being shipped, but canceled my order after I used one in a BN. Couldn't believe how unresponsive they were. Ordered a Kindle instead and really like it. Great for being able to carry around a lot of books, but bad because I buy so many more now! I think once you get one and start using it you'll be surprised how easy they are to get used to.
  14. This coming from the guy who is laughing at kids (Quinn and Tebow) who have done nothing but play hard and do the best they can for their teams only to have the world watch and ridicule them as they drop lower than expected in the draft. And no, saying he that he should be ashamed of himself for accepting an invite to be in person at the biggest event of his life still doesn't make sense you mental midget. Maybe someday when you stop trying to make fun of other people in an effort to raise your popularity on a message board you'll have time to take a closer look at yourself and try to figure out what went so wrong.
  15. Do you even know what the word means? Yeah, Tebow should be damn ashamed of himself for not getting drafted high. Not like he choked a woman or anything.
  16. What the hell would have to be ashamed about? Damn, you're pathetic.
  17. Wish the Bills had two years of relevance.
  18. So it's only okay when you do it? Kraft and BB are known for trading picks in current draft years for picks later down the road. If anyone in the league has shown that they are willing to wait on talent it's them!
  19. I've said it before, NE is the PERFECT situation for Tebow. He won't need to start right away...probably not for at least 3 years. He'll have a good team around him and plenty of veteran leadership to learn from. A coach that already uses spread formations on occassion and has shown the ability to work his offense to suit his players. While he's not starting, he'll most likely be used certain packages/game situations. I think it's a long shot that Tebow becomes a stud NFL QB, but going to NE would go a long way, IMO.
  20. If only there was a thread where a Tebow discussion was taking place...
  21. He's only free falling on mock draft and internet message boards. Spikes has never been fast, he plays smart physical football that gets him around the ball. That shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has watched him. I'm sure the scouts in attendance knew exactly what they were going to see.
  22. How many Bills fans would have been quick to say yes on Terrell Owens before he signed here last year. Once he signed, it was a whole different story. One player CAN make a difference.
