  1. I honestly don't think that "franchise LT" was available with the #9 pick. Bulaga or Davis could certainly prove the doubter wrong, but if you don't have them graded that high, it tough to take them. I think it would have come down to asking if the Bills should have taken a decent tackle (someone better than what's currently on the roster but not a future pro-bowler or even a guy that you can leave on an island without worrying about) with the #9 pick, or take someone that they truly thought was the BPA. It sucks that the Bills are going into this season with the same lline and QB's as last year (along with some project draft picks), but I don't think it's a reason to take a lesser player with the 1st round pick. As others have said, chances are the Bills are going to be a pretty bad team again this year. It's just the facts we have to face given the shear number of holes on the team. One opinion I'm very confident of, that fact wouldn't be different right now if we had taken Bulaga or Davis with the that pick.
  2. I agree. I have no sympathy for the dude that got punched. He deserved it. Though he was already being dragged away by his coach when Blount decided to hit him. There's no excuse for either player, but while taunting a player who talked trash about you all week probably deserved a harsh talking to, punching an opposing player who had his head turned, punching a teammate, and then going berserk and having security drag you off the field certainly deserved a bit more repercussion.
  3. Seriously? Lets forget for a second that the two situations weren't comparable AT ALL (as I've already said), but what the hell does he have to do with this discussion? Why would I show outrage at Matt Light during a conversation about which free agent running back the Bills should have signed?
  4. Nope. The loss of millions of dollars by dropping from 3rd or higher potential to undrafted was good enough for me. Edit: BTW, I'm not really sure what that post game interview was supposed to prove. It certainly doesn't do much to take away from what actually happened: Take note that he also punched his own teammate (whose helmet was still on). Yeah, high character guy there.
  5. Blount was asking for it too. He spent all week talking in the media about how they were going to get revenge for last years loss and embarrass Boise St. If anyone deserved a little taunting after a blowout loss, it was Blount.
  6. There's a slight difference in "throwing a punch" and completely flipping out for 10 minutes and having to be dragged down the tunnel by a combination of teammates, coaches, and security. But I guess that's just me.
  7. Yeah, no concerns with Blount.
  8. Dolphins drafted a LB named Spitler. Could get ugly.
  9. Really? What kind of parties do you go to?
  10. People keep saying this, but I don't see it. Having a couple people in each thread against a pick doesn't really equate to everyone bitching about the picks. There are far more people defending every pick than complaining about them. It seems you found something to complain about though.
  11. Wow. If he even comes close to that write-up it would be one hell of a 7th round pick.
  12. Lots of good write-ups on him. Seems to be the pre-draft opinion on him is that he could be a decent starting quality RT in time.
  13. Selvish Capers is still on the board as well.
  14. Selvie was kind of up and down at USF (up far more than down, IMO) and helped Pierre-Paul and his far more "NFL ready" size and strength become a high first round pick. He's the kind of DE I would love to have for my college team, but it would be tough for him to transfer to the pro's as a DE. Hard to say who can or can't transfer to a new position, but it might be worth a shot this late in the draft. Anyone have any opinions on him being able to make the change?
  15. After the 2nd and 3rd picks he wouldn't have filled a need, but I would have been excited if the Bills could have found a place for Jones and keep him in WNY. Certainly not saying "they blew it" or anything, just a guy I liked that I would have liked to see playing for my team! Anyway, Baltimore has picked up Cody, Jones, and Kindle. That's some serious talent they're adding to the front 7!
  16. I mostly agree. I have been surprised by every pick, but have also liked every one outside of this last pick. I said in another thread that I don't know hardly anything about Troupe, but from what I know he's talented enough that if the front office thinks he's the NT they want, cool. Overall I like what they've done.
