  1. Can buy a lot of dogs with that much money.
  2. He's got a big leg, but I got the feeling during the game that he was asked to aim his kicks and pin the returners down on their sidelines. I think maybe he just doesn't have the control. Nothing to back that up, just the feeling I got watching him shank them out of bounds and then watch Moorman come back in and do it perfectly.
  3. That's one of the things I want to make sure about. I have an IPad and I want to be able to use the Sunday ticket app on it when I'm traveling. If they have that, I think I'm in. Though I would really like to have a DVR function or the ability to start late and fast forward. Doubt that will be available...
  4. Has anyone heard anything else about this? I've searched around, but haven't found anything new since the announcement. As far as I can tell, still nothing on when/how to buy, details of the service, etc... Same with everyone else interested in this?
  5. Complaining is always louder than applause, but there is lots of "positive chatter" on the board, you just have to read through the threads. Is that allowed?
  6. Fitz also threw a great block for Jackson early in the game. Wouldn't have won any big hit awards, but he allowed Jackson to get some positive yards on the play.
  7. On the bright side, he completed 11 of 12 without 3 of his top 4 receivers.
  8. That's more than just not knowing who the kickers are. There's a friggin picture with the article showing Lindell kicking it over the Jags defenders.
  9. Vaccaros in Balitmore is pretty damn good. Best canoli I've ever had (and everything else is great too).
  10. As far as I know they only did this the one time, so this is the best version I could find of it: It was a pretty big deal out there when he did it, paying respect to IZ, and especially in Hawaiian. Very cool sound to it.
  11. Apologizing without trying to make yourself still sound right shows character. This shows fear of libel.
  12. What character? He basically apologized for a being a bad writer.
  13. Can even get some Penn St representation?
  14. One step closer While I don't think Clemson is the biggest bang for the buck, I think they offer a reasonable comparison to A&M. I'd prefer VT at this point, and they'd probably jump ship again if offered.
  15. Yeah...if they did that it would suck.
  16. In five seasons in the NFL, Smith has a total of 7 pass attempts and a 57.1% competion rate. Tebow, in one season, has 82 attempts with a 50% completion rate. I'm honestly not sure how a passer comparison can even be made between the two. I'm not sure you can get any more "barely" than Smith.
  17. Very confusing article...and thread. Cutting Langston Walker only for the bottom line? Why sign him to that huge contract then? Same goes for the rest of the rationale. Why is NOT trading Palmer a bad thing but trading Evans is also a bad thing? I have no doubt Ralph tries to save money and will pick profit over winnning if he has to pick one, but this article is a little overboard. BTW, isn't all the "nothing will change until Ralph's gone" screaming and yelling (CT) all pointless now? This changes in 2013....period. We finally have a date to look forward to. Sure it sucks that we have to wait until it's league mandated, but that's the hand we're dealt. You can either root for another team for a couple years or just suck it up until then. I thought parts of that article were pretty good, like drawing attention to the difference in profits between winning and losing (as loose as the argument was), but wow...what a load of crap that paragraph is.
  18. Or join the military and collect at 38.
  19. I think he handled the situation badly when he left WVU, so I kind of feel like he got what he deserved, but I also think Michigan dug their own grave with him. I think if they hadn't been so rigid and had given him time to do things his way, they would have been better off with him there. They'll be another job for him out there, probably a good one.
  20. I agree. IMO, which I know means squat, I thought it was a mistake to pass on Mallet in the second, and flat out stupid to pass on him in the third. But then again, I'm the kind of guy that expects it take a couple years for a QB to crack the starting line-up, and then actually still believe that half way through the pre-season (ya know, instead of declaring busts all over the place). Personally, I think that golden arm sitting behind Fitzpatrick for a few years could have been a really good thing.
  21. I didn't read your original post, but based on the first line and the bits I've gleaned from the responses, I know it was wrong.
  22. This is exactly it. Those that actually watched the game witnessed the Bills players getting destroyed in every matchup. That's not something you can dismiss because it's "only preseason". The only positive, and really I'm stretching using that word, is that the Bills were running everything base. No aggressive blitzing and stunting. No creative blocking schemes by the O-line. Meanwhile, it seemed Denver was trying to make some point (likely to get their tickets sales up a bit) and played like it was a playoff game. After I saw that comment from Gailey I went back and watched the first few series and saw that it was true. So while I'm certainly willing to factor that in to the equation, the fact that our base offense and defense were THAT bad is still cause for concern.
  23. That's really not true at all. Wins and losses don't matter. Play calling can be all over the place. Formations may not make sense. But how the players perform play to play does make a difference. Everyone played like crap tonight, and that means something.
  24. Yeah, the whole team is playing like crap right now. Might as well see what the backups got.
