  1. If you dive with any regularity at all (even a few times a year), it's more than worth it to get involved with Divers Alert Network (DAN). All sorts of insurance and other diving benefits for a good price.
  2. As ridiculous as this movie sounds, they should have done the obvious and named the lead Snake.
  3. I got my groomsmen pocket knives with their names engraved on them. Kind of specific to my groomsmen as they were family and we used to hunt together, but a suggestion for a type of gift anyway.
  4. Ugh. My mother's maiden name is Gillooly. It's a wonderful thing to be connected to that verb.
  5. There is definitely something missing from this story. Unless she was an incredibly weak swimmer, this isn't making any sense.
  6. At $90,000.00 an acre, I'd say that's an understatement.
  7. I wouldn't. Ticket would go in a safety deposit box until I figured out lawyers, financial advisors, etc... Likely that would take some time since I don't have enough money to need any of that now, it would take some time to locate trusted people to handle things. In the mean time, I wouldn't tell a soul (for as long as I was able to hold out). I would guess that's what's happening now.
  8. Do you think there's any chance the politicians don't know they can tax it? Do you think there's any chance if it's legalized they will forget to tax it? Taxes will happen, I just think it's crazy Americans have become so compliant they're now asking for it to happen. We should be demanding the legalization of mj (at least federally) because they have no right to make it against the law to begin with, not begging them to charge us extra money for it!
  9. I can't describe how crazy it makes me that you can't get more than a few minutes into any debate about mj legalization before someone recommends taxing it. How trained are Americans?
  10. He has Massie going to the Dolphins with the next pick. Don't know anything about him, but given our holes it would seem more reasonable to give that pick to the Bills. He has Konz going to the Pats at 48. If I were the Bills and the draft went like this, I'd take him in the second. Make sure Wood is healthy before he goes back in and let him play guard. Urbik can back up both guard positions. Konz has the talent to be one of the better centers in the league. Even if Wood is 100%, I wouldn't pass him up.
  11. According to the one dated March 28, Floyd and Brock Osweiler.
  12. I don't normally comment much on highlights due to what they leave out, but even keeping that in mind, those were impressive. Most impressive IMO is his field awareness, not just on overall play recognition as others have pointed out, but in getting around blockers and picking angles to chase down plays. Instead of overall player highlights, I really like the player game film that you can find a lot on Youtube now that show all the plays of that player in one game. I found one for Burris: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSNwGJXdohY It's from 2010; might have been a lot of changes in his game his senior year. A few comments based on this one: He is (by far) most effective rushing around the outside. His play recognition effectively gives him the ability to disrupt that whole side of the field as he's able to break off his QB rush and pursue the RB. But, while he's pretty good at avoiding blocks by taking excellent angles, he doesn't seem to be able to shed them very well. When he was engaged by blockers on the outside he was easily moved away from the play and the few times he rushed inside the tackles, he was taken out of the play all together. As for coverage, I didn't see one example of it. Again, he recognizes plays and moves to receivers where he thinks the ball will be going, but I didn't see him pick up one receiver and stick him. Could be the the overall system, or perhaps those calls could be due to a weakness in his game. Anyway, hard to get a good feel for a player based on highlights and one game film from two years ago, but overall I like what I saw and he plays in a position of need, though my guess is he's going to be considered a 3-4 OLB. Someone to look out for; thanks to the OP for bringing him up. Sorry, didn't see this before I posted.
  13. From what the IT guys where I work tell me, it's easier to sync with different accounts and secure. Where I work, we have to have a min 12 digit password with all the different number/special character/lower case/uppercase/etc... requirements. Anyway, they'll set up blackberries to access work emails but won't do it for any other type of phone. This isn't to imply it can't be done, but since I don't have a clue about these things I go under the assumption they know what they're doing. The most important things to me is batter life and reception/clarity. The phone I have is great with both. I stand side by side with my wife and have 2 or 3 bars and she has nothing (we both use Sprint). I have the clamshell blackberry, which most people cringe at when they see, but I love it.
  14. I tend to be skeptical of announcements like this on this date.
  15. Fezmid, honestly, I don't care enough about the subject, this conversation, or you to spend time on this. I'm not "giving up", there's THOUSANDS of apps on the iphone and chrome that Blackberry either doesn't have or has crap interface. Take your pick. I just don't care to try to prove such an obvious point.
  16. Very good. You win.
  17. In my experience, lots. Too much to go through here. Almost every type of app I used to have on my other phones either isn't available on Blackberry or, as is most often the case, can be found on Blackberry but with a horrible user interface. My wife has an iphone now and has dozens of apps that aren't available on Blackberry at all and the closest type of app on blackberry has a quarter of the functionality. This question is kind of like saying, "I've watched football and baseball, and just don't see the difference." I'm really not trying to be a jerk, but if the only difference you notice between the platforms mentioned is games, there's just too much obvious stuff you're missing to be able to give you an answer.
  18. Hard to be curious about the statement without really trying to be. Yes, it does everything YOU want it to do, but not what most people want it to do. It's exactly the same scenario as what I described about my phone tastes. Personally, I like a simple phone that lets me take care of email, has a good solid battery life, and excellent reception. My Blackberry is perfect for that. But it's pretty obvious looking around me that vast majority of cell phone users are looking for a lot more than that. There's a reason the brick phones with giant screens, high res displays, and a gazillion apps are the best selling phones. I'm not advocating one thing over the other. Just questioning the comparison of the different devices.
  19. Specs is one thing, apps is another. I have a blackberry phone because I like simplicity in my phone. I got sick of losing battery and bloatware after going through an iphone (which is one I would go back to if I wanted to go back to that type of phone) and half a dozen chrome phones, all of which were supposed to be the best at time. Again, I like my blackberry as a phone, but I don't try to say it's 'better' than the iphone. It's not even in the same category. The ipad is popular for a reason. In the end, I don't think their function justifies the cost for me. But comparing them to the playbook is comparing apples to rocks.
  20. Everybody knows you get the best acoustics in the back of a cop car.
  21. Why not? I think this is outdated thinking. I'm guessing any team playing the Bills next year is going to want two excellent tackles playing for them. If he can be a lock down tackle, I don't care what side of the line he's on. Shouldn't skip a LT to draft a RT like we did with MW, but taking a RT so set that side of the line for years isn't the worst way to spend the 10th pick.
  22. Just an earthquake how? I've never heard of an earthquake causing loud booms (outside of things falling over of course).
  23. My homer pick...Chris Rainey. Small, but the guy is crazy with the ball in his hands and is a big contributor on both sides of special teams.
  24. Yeah, don't know why I was confused. Keep hacking away.
  25. Did you read what I wrote at all? Where did I say anything about Tebow's talent? That had nothing at all to do with my post. But really, keep trying to pound that point home.
