  1. What's the over/under on deaths related to these sneakers?
  2. Yeah, if he can't keep up with the other 50 + point per game QB's in the Big 12 we'll know he's worthless.
  3. I just watched the game, and this paragraph is the key here. Neither QB is very good, and with horrible OL play and WR's dropping things all over the place, the Jets offense is looking really bad so far in this preseason. The Jets have the worst kind of QB controversy.
  4. Considering that ESPN has only had complete rights to the SEC for a couple of years, it's a pretty lame argument.
  5. I don't agree that it was the same. When you listen to the Bills' broadcasts you can tell that the announcers are favoring the Bills, but as far as I can recall, you don't hear them saying things like "we" and "our". That's a very big difference, IMO. The Bills team also seems to be more prepared with opponent information than that Vikes team did. This pre-season package is new though, so it's understandable. Normally there wouldn't be such a big Bills fan base watching this particular feed. I would suppose that as this continues the announcers will even things out a bit. Personally I don't mind a little favoritism and would be fine if all teams did things the way the Bills seem to. When I'm watching an opposing teams feed I expect to hear them get excited by a big play, or annoyed at a turnover. And I also expect all of the sideline reporting to be on that teams sideline. But I do also expect a professional broadcast with a team that sounds like they prepared and is there to cover both sides of the game. For that, I give kudos to the Bills broadcast team.
  6. I think they're great for watching other games, but they're just too fast for watching the Bills. At least for me, it impossible to really see anything other than the main part of the play. But even without the condensed version, the full version without commercials is still excellent.
  7. I was talking about Thigpen. My opinion of Young isn't very high, but at this point I'd take him, or Trent Edwards for that matter, over Thigpen.
  8. After last night, Thigpen better be out of here. I don't have much confidence in Young overall, but what happened at the end of the game last night was embarrassing. Any good college QB should have been able to make those throws, and he wasn't able to do it twice against the bottom of the barrel of Minnesota's defense. He is not an NFL QB and needs to be let go.
  9. I have an uncle that brought that up once. Hard to tell with him, but I'm fairly certain he was serious.
  10. I think that bolded part really dwindles that group of people down to an incredibly small minority.
  11. No honey, I'm studying this blown up picture of women in skimpy bikinis because I'm interested in this article about sand.
  12. Thanks for the info. I use Chrome and tried most of those things earlier. Just tested my download speeds and got between 5 and 10 MBs depending on the different tests. I've also been trying a bunch of different streaming sites and everything is working great. When the screen is small, it's perfect, crystal clear picture. But as soon as I maximize the screen it gets really choppy. Nothing seems to fix it. Happens both with live feeds and playback.
  13. Anyone else having issues watching in full screen mode? It doesn't seem to be able to keep up when it's full screen. Everything is choppy and the quality drops very quickly. I stream video constantly and never have this issue. Also never had this problem with NFL Rewind or preseason live last year.
  14. There was a play later in the 1st quarter, 3rd down with Grossman passing from around his own 3 yard line. Both DE's (Kelsay was LDE, Anderson RDE) rushed with one OLineman on them. Anderson was easily taken out of the play, while Kelsay rushed Grossman's pass and hit him as he threw the ball. And that situation is supposed to be Anderson's bread and butter! I'm not on the Kelsay hate bandwagon. I think he's a solid DE that works his ass off. That doesn't mean I don't like having Anderson; I'm excited to see him play. But for now, I do believe that Kelsay deserves playing time in the rotation, especially early in downs. And as I said earlier in the thread, I think these guys will be rotating more based on situation, so "on the field ahead of" doesn't really factor into it.
  15. I don't get this. 1st play he sealed his edge, forced the RB inside where he was tackled by Williams. Second play was away from him, but he pursued very well. RB was tackled quickly and he was a half second behind. Third play he was about two steps from the QB, but it was a quick pass; no time for the DE to get to the QB.
  16. I didn't pay attention to who was actually on the field for the first play, but when the announcers went through the starting line-ups they said Anderson. Said it again later in the game when he came back in (started, now is back on the field). But they should be swapping out so much it doesn't really matter.
  17. Yeah, after writing an entire article about it.
  18. I stopped watching after the 3rd episode of season 2. It has it's moments, but they're rare. IMO, just not a very good show. I really hope The Walking Dead comes out swinging.
  19. IMO, it's well worth the $20, especially for those later games when you want to really check out position battles.
  20. Psh...a little TOO convenient! Seriously though, I'd love to hear more details about that. There's a gunfight going on, a kid shoots himself in the neck, he's laying there bleeding out or dead in a pool of blood, cops are nearby, and someone just comes by and steals the gun? The details available in that article make for a very bizarre situation.
  21. I don't see anything wrong with paying for content, but I think it would be better to allow people to pay just for the Olympics. Why make people that don't want cable have to get the cable company involved (cable install, canceling and turning in equipment, etc...) when they could likely make more money if they just let people pay directly for the on-line Olympic coverage (it would cost me $6 for a month of basic cable, most of which would not go to NBC, but I would easily pay $10 direct to NBC to be able to see everything online). Seems kind of short sighted of NBC.
  22. I don't see problem with that. I wish the World Cup had faked some soccer sounds and gotten rid of those friggin Vuvuzelas!
