  1. "Aspiring" star.
  2. Magic is often used in relation to Orlando because of Magic Kingdom. It's not an official nickname or anything, but for locals it's definitely not out of the ordinary. Same reason the Raiders are often near the top of team jersey sales, no matter how bad they are.
  3. Can't find the video, but the teacher at the end of the Walgreens' Ladies Man commercial is smokin!
  4. To each their own. DC would be one of the last cities in the country I would move to. I lived in the area for years and hated everything about it (well, Spring was pretty awesome, but that's true in lots of places).
  5. I agree the NBA is a joke, but in this case, I think it's more due to the Spurs than Stern. Fans pay to see these guys play. Sending four players home without telling anyone is a bull **** move. Of course it also highlights how meaningless individual games are, but hell, most sports are like that. That's why football is king.
  6. Oh give me a break. You're the same person that bitches about all the out of conference cupcakes the SEC schedules because you say it pads their record. Can't have it both ways. Saying that an undefeated team that won against nothing but buttercups should be ranked higher than a team than a one loss team that has been playing tough competition week in and week out is bull ****. And there's nothing different than saying that and saying there is no reason that 1 and 2 loss SEC teams are ranked higher than 1 loss ACC teams. ACC isn't in the same league. Either is the Big East. The PAC-12 and Big 12 have good teams every year, but out of both of those conferences they put up maybe two teams each year that as good as the top 4 or 5 SEC teams. Get over it. The SEC is better, that's it.
  7. So by like Bama and Georgia you mean big schools? None of those teams is anything like what they will see in the NC game. Not one.
  8. Both of those teams are scary and ND hasn't played anyone like them all year. Not to say they can't win, but those defenses are going to punch them in the face right off the bat. ND is going to have to come up with something special to take that game. IMO, they're better off playing Georgia. Kelly has a leg up on Richt, but the NC game is Saban's home court.
  9. Yeah, it was quite highly publicized at the time.
  10. Looking through the first two rounds, it seems to me a lot of players are being very underrated. Speaking specifically of Bills players, I think it's doubtful that either of those guys are available at those picks. Teo is a top 5 talent. He may drop a few slots lower due to position, but I can't see him falling out of the top 10. Personally I think that position for Jones is about right (maybe a little low), but QB's go early. Barkley will likely go early in the first round, Landry in the middle/to back half.
  11. Far more rare than Chupacabra.
  12. The 3 points come from Florida's starting QB (a mobile QB) playing with a badly sprained ankle. The way they are playing (I think both teams are playing below their talent) the teams are about even. As far as rankings go, despite all of your ranting to the contrary, Florida's SEC schedule has been tougher than the one ranked team played in the ACC. Not to mention the Gators lost to the number 10 team in the country and fsu lost to NC State, and the answer to this incredibly complicated mystery reveals itself.
  13. I would hope not. Oregon has a loss to the current number 11 team. FL has a loss to the current 3. At very least, they have similar strength of schedules. Yet Oregon, the week coming off their loss, is ahead? That makes sense.
  14. As always, anything can happen, but one of the most talented coaches in college football against one of the biggest hacks in recent history? I'm expecting a fairly easy ND win. The NC will be another story though. At this point, no matter who they are up against is going to be very tough.
  15. After today, those 6 could all be in the top 7. If USC beats ND next week, it's possible that the top 4 are all SEC. Can you imagine if that happens next year???
  16. Time will tell if this kid can say the same thing about his present.
  17. As has been mentioned, I do think the plot overall has been too repetitive, but I don't think the killing is the problem. Right now, I think there's been a lot of killing just to get the point across that a flip has switched in Jax. While it may be beating a dead horse, it IS a big change from the start of the show to now, especially since he's still pushing the overall agenda of getting out of that life. Killing, torturing, cutting body parts, not being upset at Tig for ; these are all big things to show how far down the rabbit hole he's fallen. I agree they need to build some bigger story lines, but I think that is happening in the background. The Jax vs Clay may be repetitive, but I think it's getting bigger, especially with Jax's new attitude. I think the Clay/Juice conversation was a big deal, and the ending scene was excellent IMO. I also think Nero will factor in to this more as things progress. Overall I think the show is getting more personal and gritty, which I think is a good direction. We'll just have to wait and see if the writers are going to make things a little more complex, or just stick to action and blood as much as possible.
  18. IMO, Barkley will be the best NFL QB. That said, given the weakness of this years class, if I'm the GM I draft Te'o.
  19. Crazy thing is he's still in the top 20 posters. I really thought this thread would be full of Ghost of BiB.
  20. In the last scene with the Governor and Andrea, there was a coupe of solor panels set up on the ground behind them. I'm assuming that's the idea...
  21. I would say a Kindle (regular, not Fire) and a smartphone for online check-ins (I'm assuming just email and Facebook type stuff). If reading really is the primary, Kindle is the way to go. Stay the hell away from the nook.
  22. Pretty sure that's the point of the whole show.
