  1. How so? He didn't say the paper did something wrong, just that the format is outdated.
  2. Based on the schools involved, the only one of those guys you can compare Marrone to is Brian Kelly while he was at Cinci, and he's one of the best coaches in college football and fully deserves to get NFL consideration (he's recently said he has no interest). You cannot compare the utter garbage Syracuse program to ND, Ohio State and Alabama.
  3. They should hire Christopher Nolan.
  4. I guess. It also doesn't say who conducted the interviews or where they were conducted. May have been three different locations with three different interviewers (Brandon, Nix, Whaley) and each one lasted for hours. In the end, I think everyone's getting a little caught up in the details here.
  5. Why does it matter what day they met?
  6. Same old same old I guess. Of course most expected the Eagles would win the battle for Kelly. It's really the most attractive job out there.
  7. A teacher sleeping with her student came up in conversation at work a while back and at some point I said something about "hot for teacher" as if everyone was supposed to know what that meant. Some strange blank stares was all I got.
  8. More importantly to this forum, Charlie Strong is a hell of a coach. I don't think he'd want to go anywhere, but the NFL should be considering him for DC positions.
  9. This is why I can't take anything on this board seriously. Spiller isn't a game changer? He's turned into one of the most explosive backs in the league, scoring from everywhere on the field all the time. He's the definition of a game changer. Dareus was without a doubt the best pick at the time, and was explosive before his brother died. Everyone can roll their eyes all they want and call that an excuse, but the difference between every game before and every game after that event is obvious. Gilmore kicked ass as a rookie against the opposing teams best WR's. He is already one of the better CB's in the league. If he continues to get better (as he did every single game, all season long) he is going to be in Revis territory. If he doesn't progress, he is still a great pick. If you don't like Nix, fine, but coming up with an argument calling those three players as bad picks is nonsense. The only one even close to not living up to his slot is Dareus, and I do not believe that will continue. Even if it does, it doesn't make for a failed GM.
  10. Possibly over 7 head coaching vacancies and the Bills are going to waste time on this crap. What is there to discuss? It's not like they don't know what they have. Keep and him and get some coaching interviews set up or get on with finding a new GM.
  11. Man, listening to these QB choices popping up just makes me realize how bad this years class is. I know it sucks since the Bills need one so badly, but I REALLY hope they pass on QB with their first pick.
  12. I read last week that Reid was calling around getting a staff lined up in case he was fired by the Eagles. He may be able to get to a new team with ready to roll.
  13. SJ pretty much said all that needed to be said, but I want to point out that you linked an article that proved you wrong. This is the second time in a week that someone has replied to me with a link that proved themselves wrong while being an ass in the reply. What is wrong with you people?
  14. I've only watched one other NC State game all season, so I admit I don't know anything about Glennon, but he has not looked very good in this one game. He definitely has an NFL body and arm, and what little I know about footwork looks good, but he isn't making great decisions and he's had a couple bad misses. That 4th down throw was rough with the game basically on the line.
  15. I think Chip Kelly as an offensive coordinator would be a great move. But since he has a good job now and is being talked about as an NFL head coach, I don't see him taking that position, especially not with the Bills. That said, I'm with SJ. Jumping from college to NFL head coach with no previous NFL experience is just too much.
  16. I agree. Chip Kelly the second time around will be the guy to go after. The team that grabs him first is going to have troubles.
  17. I actually believe this hit derailed Trent a lot more than most people. Everyone points to it just being an excuse, but the difference before and after that hit were obvious. As for Fitz, I didn't really notice the same change directly after London's hit, but there's no doubt that there was something off about his play this year. Of course he was never a great QB, but he used to be so willing to fling the ball around all over the field. Yes, he used to throw INT's, but he also made some crazy completions, and plenty of down the field throws. This season he seemed hesitant and more erratic than usual. I've had it in the back of my mind that it had to do with the QB "coaching" he had this off-season. It wouldn't surprise me at all if it put him off his game.
  18. I would expect that the fans of those teams will likely never hear the quote, and if they do wouldn't give a crap one way or the other. You really think they will be slighted by something Gailey says on his way out of Buffalo? Talk about looking for things to gripe about.
  19. Six open head coaching positions right now, with three more (Jax, Detroit, Carolina) possible.
  20. Definitely. Of course there's no guarantees as far as draft picks goes, but Teo is a hell of a player. He's strong (not amazing, but strong) at every part of the game and is the type of leader teams dream of. I got to watch him play in high school, and even then you could see the skill and leadership that could make him an NFL talent. That said, he's grown a lot in his time at Notre Dame. I would love to see him in a Bills uniform.
  21. The talent level and depth of the roster has increased significantly since Nix took over. There's still some positions that need filled, but the record this year did not reflect talent IMO. Coaching needs to be fixed, but I think Nix is doing a pretty good job so far.
  22. The Bills need to move fast on whatever's happening. So many coach firings means everyone is going to be fighting over a few names. We're already behind the 8 ball as far as luring coaches.
  23. I hope that's the way it works out.
  24. Honestly, I think you can get used to using gloves for all of those things. I used to never wear gloves because, you know, real men don't wear gloves! Tore my hands open plenty of times and was quite callused up. I didn't have too much trouble with cracking, but I mostly lived in very humid places, so that might have helped. Anyway, my employer got real serious about following proper safety and wearing gloves came with that. I hated it and fought it for a while, but after getting reamed a few times finally started wearing them all the time. After my stubbornness got out of they way, I got used to them very quickly, and the difference in my hands is ridiculous. After a couple of years all of my injuries have healed and my hands are as healthy as anyone's. I guess the moral of the story is that you can't beat the hell out of your hands all day and expect them to hold up. You can either treat them right all the time or just "man up" and deal with the pain. I can't make any guarantees of course, but I'd bet that if you make a point of it, you'll get used to not only wearing gloves, but having them on you all the time so they're available when you need them.
  25. I don't have a good feeling about Nassib, but I'd be happy enough with Teo in the 1st that I don't care what they do in the second.
