  1. Tater tot casserole and chili cheese dip I like to make fancier spreads for different occasions throughout the year, but the 4th is about simple, low brow American crappola!
  2. I think closing threads here because they are in PPP is bad idea. PPP has it's own special rules that make it so a lot of people don't view those threads. Unless this board is hurting for space THAT much, it really doesn't make sense to monitor duplicate posts across boards.
  3. So I'm on the highway following this guy in a crappy car, and just to screw with him I stick my thumb up, right in the middle of the windshield, and just hold it there. I can see him in his rearview mirror nervously looking at me for about half a mile, then he sticks up his thumb for me to see! Just to screw with him some more, I kept it up until I had to exit. Pretty sure the guy was about to the call the cops on me.
  4. Bet he's injured by week 3.
  5. Yeah, I think it's a pretty cool idea. Bet it was a great time for the kids.
  6. When I got married, about 2 1/2 years ago, my wife and I asked everyone for christmas tree decorations, and made it clear they could be store bought, homemade, or hand-downs. Some people gave more, but generally I'd say the average gift was in the neighborhood of $10 and we get to enjoy our gifts every year. These people make me sick.
  7. From Facebook ToS: When you publish content or information using the Public setting, it means that you are allowing everyone, including people off of Facebook, to access and use that information, and to associate it with you (i.e., your name and profile picture).
  8. Yep, Maxim too. I remember when Maxim first came out and everyone was nuts about it. I could never understand the hoopla; it was like getting excited over anime.
  9. While I was in Germany I regularly drove 105 - 115 on the autobahn, back when that was more common (it's not what it used to be from what I hear). I owned a corvette and lived in the desert southwest with long, flat, abandoned roads, so I took advantage. Can't say my top speed, but certainly over 125. Got up to a hundred on my bike once for few seconds...just to try it. Outside of that I won't break 75 bike. Now a days I normally drive 3-5 mph over the speed limit.
  10. Homemade egg mcmuffins are great!
  11. Kind of splitting hairs. "Suicide" is more informative than "gunshot wound" given the circumstances.
  12. The discussion is about a catch, and in that regard it doesn't matter if it was a good throw or a bad throw, the only thing that matters is the catch itself. Looking at the throw doesn't offer a different perspective of the catch, it's a different subject all together. If someone starts a thread about bad throws, jump right in. But entering a discussion about a great catch and focusing on the throw is just sour grapes.
  13. I think you picked the wrong channel.
  14. I posted this in the other thread, but it relates to your question: Bad quote by the writer. First, the writer says, "ahead of any rookie quarterback I've seen", but then the quote he gives is, “E.J. Manuel has done better [as a rookie] than any of the other organizations I’ve been a part of. So he leaves off quarterback and adds in the word rookie. So was Marrone talking about any rookie? Well, actually it was neither. What was actually said was, "...from my standpoint, EJ along with Jeff Tuel...have done better in my experience, I can't speak for anyone else, than any other young quarterback that we've brought in in any of the organizations I've been involved with within the NFL." So for starters, the comment wasn't even specific to EJ, and while he was referring to quarterbacks, he didn't say "rookie", he just said "young". I will also add that Marrone picked his wording very carefully when he said it. Of course it doesn't mean much, but I think it was at very least an honest comment, not just blowing smoke.

  16. And hits or getting big is BAD!!! Sorry, I just don't understand this (very prevalent) way of thinking. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it sucks, it just means you have to wade through more crap to get to some good stuff, but it also means there's also more good stuff out there to find. Yes, it's very popular now to trash Mumford and Sons and the Lumineers. Does that mean they are about to be good again?
  17. Figures. I really need to stop picking up new shows until around season 3 or so.
  18. Have to say Hannibal is really good IMO. I started catching up on episodes recently and I'm really loving it. At first I thought there was no way I would be able to get into anyone playing Anthony Hopkins character, but Mads Mikkelsen is really very good. He's not trying to be Hopkins exactly and he's been able to make the character his own. This show really has a unique feel to it. I hope it lasts.
  19. I think it has more to do with timeframes. BBT is currently one of the top shows on TV. Seinfeld ended around 13 years ago, but it's one of the most successful sitcoms of all time. Family Ties hasn't been new TV in 24 years!
  20. lol Actually, the only reason I brought that up is because I made my wife watch it the other day. I found it in a box as I was organizing some old stuff. I get a kick out of it, but wow is it over the top ridiculous!
  21. I don't think she's good looking at all. Ugly face, pasty, and yes overweight. If I saw her on the street I wouldn't look twice.
  22. The Pirate Movie! (on second thought, nevermind)
