  1. Ah, I understand now more where your coming from, but I still have to disagree. I think Lewis has earned his position as #2 QB, and Dixon and Tuel can duke it out for #3 (yeah, slim pickings, but that's to be expected with the #3 QB). I'm not remotely sold on Manuel, and I think that if they have the opportunity to draft what they think is a franchise QB they should take it, but since that's not going to happen in the 3rd round, I'd rather use that pick to find a potential starter. Now 5th round (possibly even 4th if someone drops unexpectedly), I could jump on board.
  2. I agree with your first two points, but I don't get taking a QB in the 3rd round. I understand that any player, no matter what position they are drafted, CAN end up being a star, but on paper (and during the draft that's all you really have) a 3rd rd QB should be no better than what we already have. The only reason I can see for doing this is the idea that you just keep picking QBs that you like in rounds 3 - 4 every year until you strike gold. That just seems wasteful to me when there are positions out there that have a much better chance of finding solid starting talent in mid rounds (RB, TE, DB all come to mind).
  3. Netflix is doing a pretty good job with shows. I don't watch Lilyhammer, but I'm excited about the Feb 14th release of House of Cards season 2. Excellent show. Also looking forward to the next season of Orange is the New Black when it's released. I didn't expect to like this show and ended up loving it. It was very different than what I was expecting and the Hannibal character is great. I'm curious to see how they keep the show going, but I'm glad it was picked up for season 2.
  4. You can see it in FL too. Since Tebow left the Gators haven't been able to bring in any top recruits at QB and have been on a steady decline while the noles have had progressively better QB's with a record to match. Mushcamp is on the hot seat while Fisher was just extended.
  5. FJ is one of my all time favorite Bills, but while he may be the 3rd all time rusher, he isn't even close to the first 2....not in the same league. He's a great team member, but I don't think he lives up to the guys currently on the wall. I would like to see him there someday.
  6. draftcountdown used to be excellent, but he hasn't been updating nearly as much for the past few years. Even some of the top prospects come back with "Coming Soon" when you pull up their profiles. He still has some decent write-ups on his first round mocks though.
  7. Second time through, 4378. Luck plays a part; I got like 6 in a row where I didn't have to move my cursor.
  8. I read that first line as "...OF 13 months." Freaked me out for a minute.
  9. I looked up her name, and there was a missing person report out for (I'm pretty sure) her. Similar enough picture, same name, missing from GA. Post says she was found some time later. So apparently she's a winner all around.
  10. You should know better than this. According to SJBF you're not allowed to talk about stats because they are meaningless.
  11. There are two things I would like to see/not see from here on out. 1. More intermediary and long passes. Open up the field. Put 4 WR's on the field, even if one is Spiller lining up wide. Our offense with EJ has not only been restricted to the short game, it's BORING and unimaginative. 2. Not one more friggin read option play, and WAY less runs out of the shotgun. EJ needs to work from under center and our RBs, especially Freddy, need to get the ball while moving toward the line.
  12. Speaking for myself, I don't think it's just one game. I have not been impressed with most of EJ's play. He's had some good throws and even good drives, but overall I do not think he has looked like a promising rookie QB, especially on that was drafted so high. Of course saying so earlier in the season would get someone run out of town, but yesterday was SO bad, it's hard to ignore. I'll keep saying it, I am not in the camp that thinks rookies have to be playing to full potential right out of the gate, so I'm not saying that EJ is already a bust. But based on how bad he looks in certain areas, especially in the deep game, I am worried.
  13. EJ has not shown anything this year for me to be excited about. At this point, he's working off a good, not great college career and a very underwhelming rookie season. IMO, he's looked bad far more than he's looked good. I am not in the camp that rookie QBs have to prove their worth in year one, but EJ doesn't seem to be capable of making throws all NFL QBs should make. I'm certainly hoping he has it in him to turn it around, but honestly, based on what I've seen so far it will surprise me if he does.
  14. They need to have 4 WR sets out there. I don't care if you have to make DBs play offense, get more passing options on the friggin field! This is sick.
  15. There's been a lot of big calls missed. Hard to get to upset given how bad the Bills are playing all by themselves, but there's no excuse for the refs to let these plays go.
  16. I'm not saying they won't be able to tell, I just don't think they'll admit it. Drafting a QB in the first round two years in a row is admitting a huge mistake, and I just doubt this team will do it.
  17. Even if it's warranted, I can't imagine it happening. If EJ doesn't progress, the pick will set back the Bills for years while they try to give him time and hope he can make it happen.
  18. At least we'll have another chance at messing up a good draft pick!
  19. So the results of the play, aggregated and displayed, are meaningless? What is your point exactly?
  20. bull ****. Scoring is a stat. Completions and yards matter. They mean even more when you see how bad those incompletions were.
  21. I don't know if that's the case, but if it is then likely because he's a first round draft pick that they have to get out there for experience (and desperation). IF that is the case (that they don't have the same faith in him that they have in Thad), they made a HUGE mistake by picking him. I agree that a rookie QB shouldn't be expected to play great, but not having faith in him to throw every-day passes?
  22. At least you didn't say rusty. I give him the wind, but I would be far more likely to believe it if he hasn't looked similar all season.
  23. This "rusty" excuse is ridiculous. I don't expect EJ to be brilliant his rookie season, but Thad coming off the practice squad and Tuel starting his first game were throwing the ball down field. There is NO reason for Manuel to be held back.
  24. It wasn't. I threw my hands up when I saw it live; on the replay he clearly hit him inside the shoulder. Close, but legal.
