  1. Really good news. Fills a big hole and opens the draft for offense.
  2. Or Pepper might not have much sway in the situation. Or Pepper likes him but Spikes really doesn't care and doesn't want to play for the Bills. Or...
  3. And Branch! Wow, talk about a hell of a rotation. I can't see them being able to afford everyone, but it's a nice thought!
  4. Who knows? There could be a lot of reasons, but some possibilities: 1. Spikes is great against he run but a liability in the pass game. He'll get good money based on his run game, but he may be waiting out the offers to get money reserved for a more well rounded player. 2. He left NE on not so great terms. There were lots of rumors that Belichick didn't like how he did things (trained in FL instead of going to voluntary workouts, etc...) and placed him on IR when he could have come back to play in the playoffs. Personality conflicts like that might scare some teams off. 3. While he's good, he's not a superstar so he won't get a bonanza contract. He's probably biding his time waiting to see all the offers before he makes a decision. A positive for the Bills is that Pepper Johnson apparently really likes him, so we might have an in.
  5. I like Mack, but taking an OLB from Buffalo with the #1 pick in a draft with good top OL, DL, and QB prospects is just OUT there. Anything can happen on draft day, but as someone said above, a prediction like this screams of attention grabbing.
  6. Just a guess, but I doubt the builder is going to agree, which means a fight in court. Once that's settled (a long time from today), and assuming the blame is put on the builder, there's a good chance the company will not be able to afford the demo and repair costs to fix their mistakes. They'll go bankrupt (easily starting another company under another members name), and the county is stuck with a stadium they can't fill due to safety reasons. Even the best case scenario (temp fixes will do the job but need to be repeated over and over again) doesn't look good long term for the county.
  7. I'd take him in a minute, especially with Kiko on the team. I would also like to see some interest in Angerer if he passes the physical. He's been injured, but for maybe a little over vet minimum and an injury clause he'd be good depth with some possibly big upside.
  8. This is exactly it; while I agree with your general point about their talent JG, Belicheck and Brady make that team win. Lose one of them and they will fall off a bit, lose them both and the Pats fall. Over this extended winning period of theirs they have had some pretty good players around Brady and some really horrible teams around him; IMO, less talented than some Bills teams over that time. The difference is that because of B & B the difference in teams for the pats* has been playoff runs and Super Bowl wins while the Bills have been drifting between around Top 10 draft picks every year.
  9. I'll play devil's advocate for a second and point out that the father wasn't supposed to tell the daughter about the payout. Very well could be that he never told her about the confidentiality clause. edit: (damn...missed it by two mintues) That said, I don't find her attractive at all.
  10. This seems like a strange charge.
  11. Loved the first season and I finally started watching season 2. I think that may have been the best season premier I've seen!
  12. Off subject (sort of), I've never understood why bigamy/polygamy is illegal. If someone is crazy enough to want two wives (or husbands for that matter), have at it.
  13. I'm guessing you have more than enough volunteers, but I'll add my name just in case.
  14. I thought the speech she made was very good, and to a very specific crowd and for a good reason. She was thanking those that were there and being open about it as an example to others who are as scared as she was. Now, I won't say that she didn't have ulterior motives (a bump to her as of late slow career) since I obviously don't know her. But for the sake of argument I'll give her the benefit of the doubt; this wasn't a public statement made to the press for no other reason than attention grabbing.
  15. She does, and the audience she was talking to did. Was the thread title misleading?
  16. I think he'll go a little lower. Based on talent, Rogers should have been drafted much higher last year but didn't get drafted at all. Lyerla is a train wreck...he'll get knocked to the bottom half of the draft I think.
  17. Did you see his reaction to the shot? He wants it.
  18. Maybe the players' wives can't work out at the stadium?
  19. Hmmm, I work with aircraft, so I'm thinking I can get away with it.
  20. I think I better get on Google and get to the bottom of this.
  21. I wouldn't hesistate to spend a 6th or 7th on him. I could even live with a 4th or 5th. Everyone acts like these picks are gold...every pick in the draft is a crap shoot. With a 4th or 5th round pick your taking a flyer on talent; with Colt you know the talent is there and you take a flyer on personality. I think he has very high bust potentional, especially after being out of football for most of the year, but I really don't see that as being much different than most of our other draft picks.
  22. OTJAKE MATTHEWS TEXAS A&M G XAVIER SU’A-FILO UCLA ILB CHRIS BORLAND WISCONSIN RB LACHE SEASTRUNK BAYLOR QB AARON MURRAY GEORGIA WR JEFF JANIS SAGINAW VALLEY STATE TE COLT LYERLA OREGON
  23. Why? We get a new one every year anyway, might as well take advantage.
  24. I don't understand some of the flavor submissions on there. Why would you buy flavors like graham cracker and various pretzel flavor chips? Wouldn't you just buy graham crackers or pretzels?
  25. I agree with 4th round. Personally, I think Lyerla is a lost cause, but at that point you're taking a chance with talent, might as well take a chance with attitude instead.
