I got the same deal for a christmas raffle at work. This question is like asking Android or IOS, you're just going to get the fanboy answer. Seems like everyone was touting the PS4 when they first came out, but I don't game anymore so I have no clue.

I'm heading to Vegas on Saturday. May bet the money line just for fun.

Updated: The AFC Playoff Picture
Acantha replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is all I'm thinking of right now. I don't want to see the Bills play in Denver while they're coming off a loss. I hope Manning lights it up tonight and the team relaxes a bit. -
After my parents got divorced we had Christmas morning with my father. Had a few small things under the tree...crappy stuff overall, and one wrapped present for both my sister and myself. We unwrapped a billiard rack, looked at each other and then ran down to the basement to find a pool table set up! Looking back on it I'm pretty sure my dad just bought himself a pool table and passed it off as an awesome present.

Pegula tried to use Beaver stadium (penn state)
Acantha replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand that there's way more involved here than a fan like myself really knows, but I do think the NFL may have missed out on a fun venue given the circumstances. The article said something along the lines of COULD we play the game like that, yes, but the preference is for a normal game day experience. Again, I understand, the more things are different the more the losing team and fans get to cry outrage when the game is over. I still think it would be pretty cool to see a game in a non-traditional venue with a bunch of fans that show up just because it's something they never get to see. -
AW comments about play calling on 4th down
Acantha replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with AW, but at the same time wouldn't he expect his defense to be able to stop an opposing offense on 4th and 1? It may be "just a step", but it's a step the defense is expected to stop just as much as the offense may be expected to convert. Kind of a weak argument. -
Just had those for the first time a couple weeks ago. They taste different enough that at first I didn't think I'd want anymore, but I ended up liking them a lot. Will buy more, especially for my son who really likes them.

I moved away a long time ago, and Hoffman's Hot Dogs have always been one of the things I get when I go back home or have people bring me when they visit. This was the first time I was disappointed. I mentioned it to my mother at the time and she said she's noticed a difference the past few times she's had them too (she gets back to NY more than I do). It could be my imagination, but I don't think so.

Hoffman's changed something recently. I had my sister bring some out to me recently when she visited and they weren't close to what I remember. I had them about 5 years ago before this time and they were great. Not sure what's different.

Bills part of the 15 international series
Acantha replied to Heitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not to mention two very unpopular teams as far as out of market games are concerned. Can't see a lot of people being excited for this one. Oh well, maybe a crappy showing will keep the Bills off the schedule in the future. My first thought was that I should try to make the trip, but for the wife and me it's looking like 4 grand for travel and hotel (to make a week out of it). -
Bills part of the 15 international series
Acantha replied to Heitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We don't lose a home game and we're playing one of the worst teams in the league. I really don't like the London series, but if we have to go, this is the way to do it. -
11/5: Sammy Injures Groin in Practice - Active vs. KC

I assume Naaman Roosevelt is available. -
Mallet is easy to root for if you're a Houston fan. He has one of the strongest arms and best releases I've ever seen. Of course that doesn't mean anything on game day, but couple it with the fact that he hasn't been proven bad yet and it's not surprising that the Texan fans want to see what he has over Fitz. His history in the league doesn't mean much as he was sitting behind one of the best to ever play for most of his career. At this point (from a fan's perspective), there's as much reason to believe he'll be the next Rogers as a failure.

Hackett is a Good Offensive Coordinator.
Acantha replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's not my point. Two and Three WR sets don't automatically equal a spread offensive line. Our personnel do not lock us into those specific formations. If that were the case, we wouldn't be able to have a passing game. -

Acantha replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think you have to change the whole scheme to open things up a bit. Against the Jets, the Bills were running the ball up the middle in 2 TE, 1 WR sets. Everyone was moved inside and the defense was able to play tight with very little threat of a deep pass. Why would you ever run that formation against that defense (against almost any defense for that matter)? Especially with two backup running backs! I'm not in the "fire Hackett now" camp, but saying there's no issues with his play calling at times is nonsense. My one biggest problem with him (maybe it's Marrone) is that he doesn't seem to be adjusting. Even if the results are the same, I'd like to see some new stuff after the bye. -
After watching that preview, I agree. Looks like we'll get more back story on Beth than I was expecting.

See above.

Except they agreed to leave before that happened.

I think Abraham got to trust Glenn during their time together and knows he can handle himself. Why Glenn and Maggie go with them so easily? Outside of needing some important members of the group to go with them for storyline purposes, i dont think there's a reason.

Sorry, forgot to add some stuff: Too many things in this episode seemed to end without much point to them. The markings on the trees are really no big deal, just Terminus folks (and as explained, for no reason at all), the tainted meat really didn't matter at all other than grossing them out, nobody knows anything about big baby leaving that guy alive, the preacher's story was boring, etc... I know part of this is just due to fan expectations from TV shows like LOST giving us twist after twist, but at the same time it seems disappointing. I've read from multiple sources that they don't really want to be stuck to the comic book (I've never read them), but it seems they limit themselves to plots that still follow the basic story.
-
I didn't like the priest explanation either; just too boring. And I still think it's stupid to think so many people were out there being attacked by zombies and nobody broke a window. Something I thought was strange was how Glenn and Maggie seemed to react to Rick hacking up Gareth. Like they were shocked by it. Didn't end up really going anywhere, but it seemed odd. My guess is the next episode starts with Carol and Darryl driving off after the car and ends around the same point as this one. No idea who's with Darryl, but if things continue as normal (big build-up to a more or less obvious plot point), I'm guessing it's Morgan.

anyone heard of this hotel scam?
Acantha replied to BillsFan-4-Ever's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Not a bad scam. There's always people who fall for this type of stuff anyway, and with this you might catch a couple more just because they're so out of it. -
