  1. It's all about power to these people. They get in, cause some damage, then hold it over the people (in this case AM) before tearing things apart. My wife listens to a podcast by Chalene Johnson, who apparently has a huge social media presence. Hackers got access to all of her accounts and caused a massive amount of damage to her business. She did a lot of podcasts and blogging about it and tried to get out a lot of information about how to manage your accounts and passwords, etc... The point that compares to this though is how the hackers were talking to her throughout trying to get her to send money, and actually telling her they were doing her a favor by showing her how easy it was to get in. I'm sure you can Google it. It's all about some little pricks getting power over people in the anonymous world of the internet where they never could before in real life.
  2. Andrew Luck is going to be a pretty big test next year regarding this subject. I can't imagine what he's going to ask for/get.
  3. Yet she's currently the only one who lived. I heard about that before I heard about the disgruntled employee; my first thought was someone else probably had a thing for her and found out about them moving in together.
  4. It's not like teams don't have a choice. The Bills (by force, not choice) are building a very talented team with mediocre QB's that aren't taking up too much of the cap. Even if one of them ends up being solid, they would resign for a relatively good price. The fact is, the teams with these overpriced QB's, meaning simply better than mediocre QB play, historically have a better chance of winning. Once it gets to the point that QB's are making it impossible to win because a team can't afford to put decent players around them, things will slowly start to change. I think we're getting closer to that day. Advertising money can't go up forever (there's been some articles about ESPN starting to lose money), and once the salary cap stops expanding at such ridiculous rates everyone will have to start rethinking their cap strategies.
  5. It's hard to know without being in the situation, but I don't think, "Give me the money or I'll blow my arm off!" would have worked on me.
  6. Man, what a horrible format for this kind of thing.
  7. Bleacher had a decent article on it a few years back. It's bleacher, so you'll have to copy and paste the link: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1729646-a-closer-look-at-the-acl-as-tears-continue-to-run-rampant-in-the-nfl
  8. https://www.gourmet-coffee.com/Freedom-Clip.html Don't let the man get you down!
  9. Hilarious reference to a great show. Got me curious so I looked it up and you can get the whole series on DVD for $30 on Amazon.
  10. Thanks!
  11. Contrary to popular fan opinion, I think there are many cases where playing a guy too early really hurts him, and I think JM is that type of player. Now that he seems to have his head screwed on straight (or at least a little straighter) and actually seems to want to learn the playbook and offense, think the best bet for Cleveland is to let him learn and get his practice reps in. The difference between his first year and what I saw yesterday was night and day. He actually looked like he might be coachable. Don't ruin that by throwing him to the fire on a crappy offense with no choice but to forget everything he learns week to week and just start running around flinging it. Nobody wants to be patient anymore.
  12. Most of our guys were hurt in camp and if we only had two exhibition games we would be missing half the offense when the season starts. We're pretty lucky to still have a few weeks before opening kickoff.
  13. Really? You knew the tax code and rules behind becoming a tax except religion? And think that everyone does?
  14. I haven't played fantasy football in about 6 years, but I'm being asked to be a 10th man in work league that's stuck at 9. Once upon a time I used to be able to draft based on my own knowledge, but my interest in football outside of the Bills has taken a dive in recent years. So anyway, I'm just looking for some ranking sheets that will point me in the right direction and I can study up on injuries and new offenses, etc... Any favorites that you guys use that seem better than the standard ones used on draft websites?
  15. That was hilarious. http://www.ourladyofperpetualexemption.com/ I called the 1800 number too...good stuff.
  16. It's different for each state...between 16 and 18, and you're right that NYS is 17. I only know what I've read here, but it sounds like there's a lot of rumors at this point. I heard that one of the conditions of the plea deal was that he would not ask for less than 5 years, which tells me there's a lot more than just a 16 and 17 year old...but who knows.
  17. I haven't read too much about it, but so far I haven't seen anything regarding ages. While I know many don't care, there's a difference to me between a 17 year old and a 12 year old.
  18. I do like the term "sky avalanche".
  19. I definitely agree with this. I used to always change my own oil on principle, but after doing the math it just isn't worth it to me to save what amounted to a few bucks. As everyone has said, don't fall for the extra stuff. As long as I'm passing by these places anyway, 10 minutes in and out, no fuss, no mess; it's something I will continue to pay for.
  20. I read that he did create it himself. EDIT: Never mind...just found the article I read and I was confusing their discussion of Fogle with Russell Taylor who worked for Fogle's foundation.
  21. It's like that at most coffee shops though. I don't particularly like Starbucks, but since they're everywhere I've been enough that I have learned what I like and how to order. When I go into local coffee shops, I'm completely lost, especially with those friggin chalk boards they all feel like they have to use (and apparently hold auditions for worst girly scribble handwriting they can find). Between their puzzle boards and the fact that they always act like they are in the biggest hurry in the world, I rarely get something new and interesting...it's whatever I can interpret fastest.
  22. I agree with all of the sentiments, but you also have to factor in that the spread option and other spread systems are still working in college. High school coaches generally aren't worried about what the NFL wants, they worry about what works on their fields and what gets their kids scholarships at the next level. As long as college coaches can win with those athletic QB's, that's, those are the ones that will shine and go at the top of the draft. In recent memory, the last guy going into college being hailed as the next great pure passer (not just a good pro style QB, but a real golden boy) was Matt Barkley. Didn't turn out so well. I think regarding your question, Andrew Luck is the closest thing. He is also good with his legs when he needs to be, but he was drafted for his incredible feel for the pro system.
  23. Does it count if nobody understood the joke?
  24. I don't think so. My guess is that this was planned as part of the competition.
