It's exensive to fly a plane. Now, with oil prices though the roof, airlines can't afford to have half empty planes flying around. The meals? Who cares. Like you said, buy a sandwich and a drink before you get on the plane. Not only will it taste better, it allows airlines to bring overall ticket prices down a few bucks. The planes are packed, and that sucks. No way around it. Airlines get paid by the passanger, and they will get all the money they can get. The reason all of this happens is because Americans, by a wide margin, will travel on the cheapest flight...period! They will scour the the internet and different companies to find a flight that's about 5 bucks cheaper than the previous one. that's why they don't offer meals. That's why they have to jam so many people in. If American would pay $500.00 for flights with great service and lots of comfort, those options would be there. But until then, everyone will keep going to cheaptickets or orbitz or the dozen other agencies to get the low fair. Go to Japan/Asia and see the difference. The airlines there charge more but it's like heavan in comparison. That's what sells there.

It happens, but not for the contracts we've been seeing. Usually guys are brought in for camp fodder or the off chance of depth, but they get minimum contracts with very small, if any, signing bonuses. So far the contracts I've seen have all been either long term or too high to be considered quick cuts.

It's always a tough call to say a specific team that you could trade down with. No one knows what GM's are thinking, but every year trades are made. In this case, the Bills could trade down pretty much anywhere below the last couple picks in round 1 and be able to pick up Mangold and an extra 2nd (at least). With 2 second rounders it is likely they could pull in two of Jean-Gilles, Spencer, Joseph, or Latui, all of whom I believe can start this year. They could also have the choice of picking up tackles like Winston, O'Callaghan, or Scott if they choose to go that route....though I believe the guards offer better value/impact. Again, it sucks projecting a trade down scenario, but if they can get another DT to sign, I think it gives us the best bet to help the team.

I have a question. With all of the contract details you have, do you also have the lenght of everyones current contract saved somewhere? If you do, is there any way you can also post what the final year of contracts are? It would go a long way in figuring out what the Bills needs are in relation to the cap.
