  1. As long as we can keep ignoring every other stat...and reality...you are correct. Does it matter that even though he caught 33 less passes he only had 73 less yards than Moulds? A difference in 5.4 yards per catch (10.1 vs 15.5). Does it matter that our second most talented WR (by far) also caught 3 more TD's than our most talented (by far) WR? Also, does it matter that our "declared" starter (you know, the one that can throw more than 10 yards) was benched for a large part of the season? Does it matter that Evans strong point is going deep, and that when you have a weak QB going deep is not the way to excel? Nah, I didn't think any of that stuff mattered.
  2. If you mean a guy who has talent and ability that hasn't been given a chance to succeed yet...you are correct. I assume that's not what you meant. Personally, I hate the rumor cause it's a rumor.
  3. I didn't say he never played with strong armed QB's. But keep trying.
  4. I know that was meant as sarcasm, but it does illluminate a point that was made earlier. When armor is added to cargo aircraft, it significantly reduces the amount of cargo that can be transported. Often time decisions have to be made whether to send the armored planes or not depending on how much cargo is needed vs how fast they need it vs how much danger the planes are in getting there. It can be quite the pain the ass. Oh, and Scraps, the military is all about safety. Believe it or not there is much more put into the decision of armoring any vehicle besides "to do it or not". Money is just one. Many other examples have also been listed. As a quick and easy example I can also add how fast a vehicle is able accelerate away from a danger zone. I'm not sure what your opinion of armor is, but reading your posts I come to the conclusion that you don't realize how heavy it really is and what kind of changes need to happen to accomadate it. Maye you do, it's just not how I've read things. There are so many aspects to this argument that it is really impossible to see everything. And really, I think for you to maket his argument based on things you have read or heard is VERY presumptious. You have not been there. You just simply don't know as much as you think you do.
  5. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it was a cover up, but everything I've ever read said that JP transfered for playing time...that's it. Again, this is my thought on the situation as well. Though I have no more proof of this than anyone claiming that it's all JP's fault. To me, it's seems like Eric is a whiny little B word who has put up his best numbers with weak armed QB's. I've always like him, but I won't be sad to see him go anymore.
  6. I do the same thing. Tears of joy.
  7. Gilmore Girls Hey, screw you for judging me! Oh, and BlueFire, do what you will...but if there is any show worth buying, it's Firefly. I got em from NetFlix and burned them. A few weeks later I finally got a chance to sit down and start watching. After the first 3 episodes I went out and bought the set. Really great show.
  8. Draft Like a few other around here, I really like this site for anything draft related. Really good first round write-ups and player info linked in the other rounds. Also is strictly "no trade" mock. Buffalo Picks 1. Ngata DT 2. Eric Winston OT 3. Anthony Smith S 3b. Marcus Maxey CB
  9. I stopped reading after that. Anyone who has the balls to say this (not to mention repeat it) can not be taken seriously.
  10. I don't understand the "player" aspect. Why not a position? Say, middle LB. Why put a radio only on one person and if they are injured...that's it? I don't see the thought process here.
  11. Why argue when someone says the world is flat? It's an obvious waste of time.
  12. I though it was amazing that he was able to do that. Now that we see he didn't, it turns out not to be such a big deal. But in his defense, the real reason I thought it was amazing was because he was able to do it in 1 week. Couldn't really expect someone to not only figure out how to change a song like that, but actually be able to sing it live in one week. And BTW...I can't believe all you bastards jumped on my McPhee train. Just cause she finally started showing her stuff... Not only that...but now everyone is turning on Pickler too? Bunch of Johnny-come-lately's!!!
  13. You're (deal with it) opinion of what is right and wrong don't change based on people's opinions. You are entirely too simple to be that arrogant.
  14. I disagree with your needs a little: 1OT: Draft (round 3) (Gandy will play this year) 2OG: 1. FA 2. Draft (round 2) FB: Draft (4th) 1DT: Draft (round 1) LB: Late round pick Safety: Draft (other 3rd rounder) CB: Depth/Dime CB: Free Agent I don't consider "needs", but good to have: Backup RB: (5-7 draft) WR: (5-7 draft) OL depth: FA (5-7 Draft)
  15. Yes, I"m serious. Scheme: We have one coach saying they could use a smaller talented DT, and Levy saying they want a big guy to put next to Triplett. They'll take the best available...which is exactly whay the tried to get Picket. Ngata didn't have a bad showing the last couple of games. He had an average bowl game. And as far as stats go....Ngata takes up blockers so the rest of the line and LB's can do the job. Those kinds of DT's are priceless and don't put up the ever important stats. I would't be dissapointed with Bunkley if we traded down. But I also think it would be a mistake to pass up Ngata if he's there. He can anchor a line and make the guys around him look better. Again, if we had signed Pickett instead of Triplett, I would agree Bunkley would be more desireable.
  16. That is still not an example of which one is the better DT. Ngata is not a blob of fat, though just saying so enough MAY make it true if you try really hard. And why will he blow up in the offseason? Cause you say so again? Why does Bunkley fit our scheme perfectly when we already have Triplett? Everyone wants to say Bunkley is better, but no one knows. No one. It's just the popular thing to say lately. Just another bandwagon. Keep on jumpin people.
  17. Why do you think he is a 2 down player? Because he is big? Did he come off the field on 3rd down in Oregon? What is his injury concern? Did he have any injuries last season? Nobody was talking about him during the season becuase he was a junior who was expected to stay in school. It wasn't until he had family problems that he decided to play pro. As soon as he did, he jumped to the top of draft charts. Why do you feel Bunkley is a better player? Due to his combine 40 time? Anything else?
  18. You had me until that line. You obviously know nothing about being a Bills fan. Thanks for that. Very nice to hear such good things about the guy.
  19. He did have an injury couple years ago.
  20. The Hutch deal is said to be for 13mil in the first year, and now Seattle is thinking about actaully signing. Do you think it would have been wise to offer that much? I do not. With all the holes I can't see anyone being worth that much money.
  21. You may (and regularly do) complain as much as you want. But in your post you say that they haven't gone after top Oline talent in years. Marv just got here. He has to have more than weeks to do something. And no, I don't expect him to do nothing over the next 4 years. I expect changes. But there is a big difference between 4 years (or the two that I "expect" it to take to clean some stuff up) and what he has so far had.
  22. But moving up two spots wouldn't be that bad for the Bills. I would never try to trade to 4...it would cost way too much. But 8 to 6 could be had for one of our 3rd plus another pick next year...maybe another 3rd. It would be reasonable for both teams. San Fran wouldn't lose out on anyone they want (Oak will almost certainly take Young), and Buff gets it's LT for Travis Henry plus a bit more. I don't give Ferg much thought since there is no way he makes it to 8, but if he is still around at 6 I think it would be a great move.
  23. Not if the trade involves Abraham. In that case, they would probably lean toward Hawk.
  24. While I agree they should be more aggressive for the OL (I think Schaffer more than Bentley), who is "they"? "They" have never signed an all pro OL in free agency for the couple of weeks "they" have been the GM of a football team in free agency. You can't use past GM's track record to judge Marv. He's got a fresh slate. Now, if he goes 4 years without attempting to upgrade the lines with top talent, then you can complain about what "they" have never done.
  25. Levy being hired as GM is the same as just about every other GM hired. He's a football guy. He's been around football for a very long time. People keep saying that he has been out of the game for 10 years, but that's not true. He hasn't been a coach for 10 years, but he has kept his roots in football through various outlets. GM's know football. Now, you can have a GM that knows the business as well as the players and all of the other aspects, but in the Bills case Levy is strictly the personnel guy. And in that respect, I believe he's qualified. Note that "qualified" doesn't mean guaranteed success, just that he's qualified for the position. Also compare to the numerous coaches throughout the league who have also been given GM responsibilities. While I never think that is a good idea (coaches should not be focusing on anything but game planning), it is the same kind of move. In a round-a-bout way, that's also why I don't mind the Jauron move so much. When you look at the head coaching hires around the league (Jets, Packers, Lions, Raiders), Jauron at least stacks up. And we know that he and Levy get along and have similar philosophies. Hopefully that will allow Jauron to focus on coaching, while realizing he has a GM that will value his opinions and work on getting players he needs. (not just flashy types) Hiring known entities is not always the way to go. There are few GM's in the league with the reputation as being a pure "GM" as Donahoe. How did that turn out?? Now, I'm sure you were willing to listen. If you are even remotely capable of responding with anything other than nonsense, I would be extraordinarily surprised.
