  1. Those were pretty good. My favorites:
  2. 1. That is saying he is not cocky. 2. It's all a joke anyway.
  3. Though this one is by far the most "forced".
  4. They wanted him. They got him.
  5. Very little. People just like to complain.
  6. Strike one. Next stop....lawyer.
  7. Look, for the last time, Mr. Irrelevant is ALWAYS the last player.... Damn, wrong thread.
  8. For 474 mil I'd supply the Viagra.
  9. The key will be if our system and faster players will finally be able to stop the RB and WR screens. I swear, I am so sick of seeing NE screens go for 10+ yards play after friggin play!
  10. No friggin way. You can't be serious.
  11. Not that I think Fletcher is a great coverage LB, but from what I"ve seen most of his problems come when they have him in Man coverage against WR's and the faster TE's. I don't recall seeing him blow zone coverages too often. Though that just means I don't remember screaming at the TV about it on gameday. Has he been bad in zone coverage?
  12. That's the first thing I thought too....as I was trying to read through my tears!
  13. Two Grades: Based on players alone: B+ While I still thing Whitner was a reach, overall I really like the guys that were brought in. I think by mid season the difference this team will see on defense will be huge. Based on how we filled team neads compared with players available: C Marv & Co. used a strategy to reach for players they thought they "needed" instead of letting the draft come to them. I think trading down in the first would have been a better idea and allowed for at least one additional pick (if they had still traded up for McCargo). We could have used that pick (or more if not for the trade-up) for O-line or other areas. We still could have had Youboty and Ko, IMO Whitner (yes, I know the lions rumor), and traded up for McCargo while still drafting a starting guard. I wouldn't say Marv "blew it", but I would say he could have done much better. Overall Grade: B-
  14. Not just possible, they said as much in the press conference. They said at 26 there would have been 15 more picks until their pick in the 2nd, and there wasn't anyone else they had grade near as high. (not quoting...just summing up)
  15. The first was certainly more original, but the second had me rolling at times. Definately not a "thinker", but it made me laugh.
  16. Wow, I got a great answer to my question (honest and detailed). (I'm John). Even though I used the wrong form of their! How embarrassing!
  17. I like hearing that for one big reason...If it's true, it's good to know that the D coordinator for the defense we are trying to emulate would have taken the guy we got 1 behind us.
  18. Gerald Riggs Jr, RB, TENN He's pretty much a North/South runner that I think could be useful. Other than that, Bernstein is pretty much the only guy I wanted that didn't get drafted.
  19. Reach aside, that guy is quick and takes exellent angles to the ball. I think he is going to be big in run support and blitzes. Hopefully Ko can learn the scheme and be the guy we need playing deep.
  20. Tell em Fan Boy! I hope this guy sticks!
  21. He has huge bust potential, but at this point it's more than worth it for whatever team takes him.
  22. Matua Wright Bernstein All good value...all still around.
  23. Knocks against Vincent shouldn't be taken personally. He is a CB that failed to make the transition to S. It's not for everyone, and he didn't ask for it or want it. But they asked him to do it, he gave it a shot, and it didn't work out. Not his fault. Now, I don't see why we would drop him. Don't need the money, and we have 3 rookie DB's that need some veteran help. Even if all these guys learn the D and Jauron decides to start them when the season starts, Vincent would AT WORST be a great Dime back, and excellent injury insurance.
