  1. You are way too caught up in the practices.
  2. Way to play off the butt shot.
  3. Nope, I was actually a huge Spikes fan while he was in Cinci. I saw him in his first year in one game and just loved the way he played.
  4. Wilson has looked good the past two pre-seasons, but I don't know enough about him to know if he is doing the other things right. Does he block downfield? Run good/correct routes? Sell the run? By pre-season alone, I take the loss can cut Josh Reed and let Wilson share time in the slot with Parrish. Of course, what we are seeing on the field is only a small part of the story.
  5. Well, it used to be Spikes. I even have a Spikes Cinci Jersey. As for now? I guess I would go for Steve Smith. I like watching that guy play.
  6. So you're actually saying that since he was no good before, he has to be good now, so we must keep him?
  7. Thanks...that's good to hear. I really can't be objective on this. I look at it one second and think....pretty good, and the next I think.... Jackson, McGahee, and Gore as my top 3 backs????? Top prize in this league is 550 dollars, so it's kind of a big deal!
  8. Alright, I'm in a 12 man league and I had the 9th overall pick. I very rarely get in a 12 man league (I prefer 10) so I'm having trouble judging here. I would say kind of a middle of the road draft. My bench is weak, but at that point I was scraping bottom. Comments? QB: Donovan McNabb RB: Steven Jackson RB: Willis McGahee WR: Larry Fitzgerald WR: Derrick Mason WR/RB: Laveranues Coles TE: Antonio Gates K: Josh Brown D: Broncos BN: Kitna BN: Frank Gore BN: Joseph Addai BN: Deangelo Williams BN: Eric Moulds
  9. I hope so.

  11. Now all we need is a TD pass to Nance and we can all be really confused.
  12. Nope, your right. I'm listening to the game, and I missed the penalty on the previous play that put us back to the 7. Still, not a bad play to call in pre-season. Certainly not stupid. Stupid throw...not stupid call.
  13. It's not like last year, it's not a real game. In a real game, with the starting O-line and McGahee...who knows what the play would be. In pre-season, when your trying to get a look at one of your backup QB's....that's what happens.
  14. We didn't need to throw into the endzone when we were 3 yards away? Where else would they throw?
  15. Nall just keeps doing it. Really wish we had had time to see him against the starters.
  16. ? This one's pretty big.
  17. I would say after Dillon... Bush is up in the air for a while. And Dillon is kind of a weak number 1 RB. But really, the rest of the team should make up for it. Are you allowed to dump a kicker and Defense and pick up more players for your bench? I would look at grabbing another backup RB or two on teams with injury potential. Deangelo Williams types....
  18. I don't know, but I'm thinking there's a glockenspiel in there somewhere.
  19. Is it okay that I think it's sad that people are taking you seriously?
  20. At this point, much of his "comeback" is going to rely on him knowing that he is okay. He has to get out there and feel things out. It will take a few games before he feels comfortable putting all of his weight on that leg, or cutting hard, etc... I think it's a good move for him to get out there. The experience of being on the field during full game speed feeling things out will pay off huge in the future. This of course all goes under the assumption that the achilles is healed, which it has to be or he wouldn't be out there. It isn't like...HEY, IT HEALED...TIME TO GO!!! And then he is all of a sudden in the game full speed. He has to learn to use his body again. Why not start that part of the recovery in pre-season? As good as he is, if he's tentative come game time, he will be a liability.
  21. He looks like a wax sculpture.
  22. You don't need the 2nd ammendment for that. Just ask the Iraqi's.
  23. I don't think the Pats are the same "dynasty" team they were. I think they are beatable. I want, desperately, for the Bills to win the game. I do not think they will. MAYBE in the second game, at home, when the team has a chance to grow up, they can pull a win out. Opening day, with new everything, away, with JP at QB? Not so much.
  24. I HATE it when my QB throws bad TD passes.
