  1. Well, that's probably a bad comparison to use your sarcasm on. Miami has now lost two out of 3 games, and FSU came very close to losing to Troy last week and now lost to Clemson. I'd say those two teams actually are overated, and Miami will almost definately fall out of the top 25. FSU will probably barely hang on. What I love most of all is how right before the season started the clones at ESPN all started jumping on the Miami bandwagon, saying if any team in FL had a shot at the title it was them.
  2. Florida State......LOSS! Miami.......LOSS! Florida......BIG WIN!!! Throw in an LSU loss, and it's a pretty sweet weekend. 2 more weeks until the Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Georgia stretch. That's going to be a stressful month.
  3. You mean a college QB wasn't great until his jr. year when he got a great offensive minded coach? NO WAY!!!
  4. Right. Saying we are better than Oakland isn't saying much, but saying we are worse than Oakland is saying a lot. The point of this isn't that the Bills are a contender. There are people on this board that will argue this with you, but I'm not one of them. My point is that they are not the worste team in the league.
  5. I'm with you. I"m the first person to say the Bills haven't earned any respect, so really don't deserve any yet. But I've been saying all off-season that anyone who thinks we are worse than Oakland is insane.
  6. When everyone at the LaQuinta get food poisoning this weekend, we'll know who to blame.
  7. You think there are football gods out there that don't hate the Bills?
  8. He would know. He's had plenty of experience dealing with the city of Buffalo after a Bills loss.
  9. I used to love that high step kick thing he did as he was breaking that last tackle to get in the open field. Every time you saw that, no matter where he was on the field, you could pretty much count it as a TD. I think the motto of that whole offense must have been "NEVER STOP BLOCKING....EVER!!"
  10. Ignoring the already mentioned stupidity of this article, I would also say that this "minor" injured reserve thing is probably NOT in the Bills best interest. And that is why I think it was a great move by them. This deal gave Vincent the best possible situation. They are giving a great Vet (knowledge and experience if not still talent) a great deal while allowing him to further pursue a better deal in the future if he so wishes. If the Bills were strapped for cash, it probably wouldn't happen. But they have the money, and the organization as a whole is showing all the players in the league what they are willing to do for their players. I think once Spikes and others realize what this deal really did for Vincent, they will see it for what it really was.
  11. I'll be hyped on Sunday. I can't let a loss go until we start playing again.
  12. No, we start the DB's in place of all the hurt DB's. We have two hurt Safeties, and in the last game, McGee went out for a series. What's that mean? All 3 of our rookie DB's were forced into the line-up. Good thing we had em.
  13. I wish they'd said what his GPA is.
  14. Check and check. Apparently I don't have much else to live for. Well, the Bills winning a Super Bowl should keep me going for awhile.
  15. Is it just me, or is that dude crying?
  16. They're screwed.
  17. Thanks. I thought we could edit thread titles using the moderater options, but we can only delete or close, otherwise I would have done it earlier.
  18. Umm, if you read a couple posts before yours, you would see the article has "changed".
  19. Absolutely. It will be nice not to have an unknown starting next year. If Ko sucks, we know we have to do something about it. If he's good, we can focus on the rest of the team. I think he'll do fine, and in the end will probably have a better year than Vincent would have. Hopefully I'm right.
  20. I guess those idiots who picked all those safeties had some reason after all.
  21. I'm sure I"m missing it, so sorry if this is a double post. Spikes out
  22. FYI, I found the name of the show....Any Day Now.
  23. Normally I would agree with KD, but it's damn impressive for him to perform that well with as little time in that system as he's had. You can look at it two ways. Either he will get better and better as he has more time in the system, or he will no longer be overlooked by defenses and have a much harder time getting open. I don't know, it's a tough call. McNabb did a good job when I wasn't really sure what to expect from him. But you also have to remember he will be playing some pretty strong defenses in the NFC east.
  24. I have no idea what the show was, so I may not be much help, but I had a girlfriend once who watched a very "chick-flickish" type series that kind of revolved around racial tensions. There were two main women characters, one white and one black, who had been friends since childhood. I wouldn't say the show was completely based on rotating between two eras, but every show was full of flashbacks from their time as adults to their time as kids. I really hated the show (too after school special for me), so I don't know the name, but it may jog someone elses memory.
  25. So the way to build an offensive line though the first day of the draft, is to draft them 2-3 years after they turn pro, that way you never make a mistake.
