  1. Lebeau was assistant HC during MM first year. He left the following year.
  2. Now THAT'S good news. You know...for those guys.
  3. I think his worth would have been a bit higher than that, but when a guy openly says he won't play and wants to be traded, it lowers the asking price. See Moulds. That said, he probably isn't starter material and was just another drop in the bucket as far as people the Bills HAD to have.
  4. And if you look just below that article at his week 2 picks, the first line reads Dolphins 24, Bills 3.
  5. All it says is that we had a lot of rookies starting, blitzed well, and looked good first two weeks. Pretty weak article...not worth the read.
  6. I'm not saying I agree with any of them, but laughing at their stupid statements while making one of your own is kind of ignorant...no? And that "but...but.." crap is annoying.
  7. Looking at it that way (the MM era), okay. But if anyone is looking at it that MM was responsible for it, I would disagree. I don't think MM had anything to do with that defense at all. Not as a 1st year offensive minded HC with both Lebeau and Grey around. I agree that MM had about as much to do with his 2005 defense as Jauron does now...which is a good say, but mostly lets his DC do the job. And I'm not even trying to say that Jauron or Fewell are great coaches (who knows yet?). I was just saying that I don't think any 2004 defensive stats can be attributed to Mularkey.
  8. It means Lebeau was in charge of that defense, not Mularkey.
  9. Man, that dude's going to be pissed if he ever wakes up. (pun intended)
  10. We had an assistant head coach that year.
  11. Malarkey was a horrible head coach. He beat this team down to nothing by the time he left here. You can defend him all you like, but it doesn't change the fact that it's a better team with him gone.
  12. If anyone had put that list up before the season started, they'd have been watching the games from a mental hospital.
  13. Thank God the MM era only lasted two years. Time to play some football.
  14. Well, apparently not. Not when Carlin and Stern can be blamed.
  15. So it's not okay for people that are paid to give their opinions to do so before the seasons starts, but it's perfectly acceptable for you to have it all figured out after two games?
  16. I'll stick with 7-9.
  17. AP: 1. Ohio State (59) 3-0 1,617 2. Auburn (2) 3-0 1,507 3. USC (2) 2-0 1,494 4. West Virginia (2) 3-0 1,419 5. Florida 3-0 1,350 6. Michigan 3-0 1,297 7. Texas 2-1 1,180 8. Louisville 3-0 1,121 9. Georgia 3-0 1,105 10. LSU 2-1 1,085 I tend to agree with the AP overall, though I could see Florida and Michigan switching spots.
  18. While the defense played a great game yesterday, don't let Culpepper's lack of decision making warp your vision that much. Pennington is an accurate QB using the short to midrange game. He doesn't hold on to the ball too long and generally makes good decisions when he has to get rid of the ball quickly. I think too many people ignore how much his injuries have hurt him the past few years. The best thing the Bills can do is stop the running game and try to put the Jets into as many 3rd and longs as possible. Our speed in the secondary is perfect for those floaters Pennington throws on passes over 15 yards. I liked what I saw yesterday, but don't think that one really good game against a horrible offensive line and a lost QB means we will be breaking season records for sacks this year. I think more than anything I'm looking forward to seeing the game plan this week against a team with very different strengths and weaknesses. Win or lose, it will answer a lot of my questions about this coaching staff.
  19. Other than a VERY stupid slide on 3rd down when he still had a yard to go, I agree. He played well and was even able to run the option a little, which has been his weakest point by far. Tim Tebow (Tee-Bow). As fun as this year has already been, I continually find myself thinking ahead to next year when this kid starts. From everything I've read about him, seen so far, and know about the Urban Meyer offense he will be playing in, he will be on the Heisman list in a few years. I think so too, which is good and bad. It almost every week a big week in the conference, but it gets annoying have a team that I think is so good, but still has almost no chance of competing for a championship. (Same goes for all of the teams in the SEC).
  20. Yeah right. Like a seasoned veteran would have admitted it was his fault and that he needed to watch more tape.
  21. Fuggin Lindell.
  22. I'm thinking upset. Or not...
  23. For the second week in a row....McGahee. Is he EVER going to score a TD?????
  24. My favorite play was by Culpepper. It wasn't really one that stuck out, but there was a one particular play in the early 4th where he got the ball, and started stutter stepping and looking around like he had no idea why he was on a football field. (Yes, more than the rest of the game) I said, "holy crap, he looks totally confused!". The two dolphin fans I was watching the game with screamed, "yeah he does...get that SOB out of the game!". They were both screaming for Harrington by the 3rd quarter! Thank you Culpepper!
