  1. and "run the ball and stop the other team from running the ball." - John Madden
  2. Next week, on 21 Jumpstreet.
  3. I"d say picking him up would be a good move for just about any team. After this he'll come fairly cheap, and if a team is willing to give him some time and coach him, he could be a steal. If not, well, IMO it would be worth a shot. Sign him to a one year deal and if there is no progress, then all that's lost is a bit of time.
  4. If we keep the game within 10 points, I'll be happy. Seriously, that team is far beyond us. I will never for a second say any NFL game is a sure thing, but if we win this game it would be the biggest upset this season by a long shot. The only chance I see is if Grossman plays completely opposite from how he has played the last 3 weeks and makes big mistakes the whole game. Here's to hoping!
  5. Without actually watching the game, the turnovers credited to Losman appear much worse than they are.
  6. Fitzgerald with Gore. Gore is tanking big time. Luckily, I've had Addai on my bench since the draft, and it's about time to ease him into the lineup. On a side note...a big FU to Reggie Williams who, after getting 2 points last week when I needed him, got almost 20 yesterday sitting on my bench!
  7. Some wierd stuff in this thread.
  8. I thought the Bills had a very good chance against the Vikes, but I think going to Chicago is going to be scary for this O-line and JP. I don't really agree about Grossman (I think he is going to be pretty good), but I do agree that we can hold the bears offense. I just don't think our Offense will move against that D. I'll be happy as hell if I"m wrong, because if the offense can beat that D, I will have grossly underestimated them and will think they actually have serious playoff hopes.
  9. More importantly....the SOB finally found the endzone!!
  10. THAT'S a helluva jump.
  11. Going to really enjoy the 24/7 TO vs Eagles coverage coming up! BOY OH BOY...I CAN'T WAIT!!! How can anyone not be excited??? I mean....IT'S TERELL OWENS! PLAYING THE AGAINST HIS FORMER TEAM!!! AND THERE WAS TENSION!!!!! THIS is what football is all about!!
  12. well, I didn't say they hadn't been running. I just think that when you get to the 4th and are up by 11, you shouldn't run 3 straight pass plays.
  13. Pass, pass, pass... Time to start running boys...
  14. I'd have settled for a FG.
  15. PEEEEERLEEEESSSSS! HAHAHAHA
  16. Holy crap that was a nice play!
  17. This would make Rich pretty happy. But I think WR is the last position we will need next year.
  18. IMO, the gameplan needs to call for some passes into the flats and screens. Get McGahee away from the line and let him try to get his yards against the LB's.....but maybe on the opposite side of the field as Winfield.
  19. "...yeah, but pornos start off that way too!" Eh...I got nothin.
  20. Good news, that poll appears to be sexiest woman newscaster.
  21. For starters, my only "anger", if I had any, might come from the belittling nature of your posts. Second, believe it or not, I actually think the way you build a team is from the lines, much like yourself. And I said, the big difference is that I am willing to see how Marv's plan works out. You can bring up the history of the organization all you want, but the fact is that this isn't the same organization, so historical data on how they handle drafts and re-signing vets doesn't stand up. And once again, disagree all you want, but the crusade you seem to have set forth to bring up your disagreement over and over in as many different threads as you can is more than tiresome. Yes, we are here to discuss, so discuss. But condescendingly bringing up the point that you would have rather had line drafted instead of the "speedy guys" has nothing to do with how Whitner is playing now. And BTW, we gave up a pick for a fat guy. Doesn't that register on your master plan? Oh yeah....
  22. And I have, though it would be easier to assume that I have the same blinders on about the situation that you do. Just because I think Whitner was a good pick doesn't mean that I don't think we could have had an equally good draft by trading down and going a different direction. The one big difference is that not only am I actually willing to give Whitner the years he might need to fully develope, but I am also able to fathom that just because we have drafted DB's in the past who have gone elsewhere doesn't mean that this is a bad pick. Can you fathom that? Perhaps it doesn't help your case that instead of just saying that he is doing very good so far...and leaving it at that...you decide to use this thread once again to further your crusade against the draft.
