  1. I know. I was ridiculing the questions, not the response.
  2. If an elephant walks out and takes a dump on the field, is Woods easily replaceable THEN?
  3. Pretty sure that was the Giants game, and I never agreed with the ridicule there (though I seemed to be the only one). We hadn't "fought all the way back" at the time. We were still within reach of winning, but the whole team was playing like crap and couldn't get out of it's own way. At the time, I think Woods was trying to get SOMETHING going, and I don't mind a guy trying to fight to break free or get a few extra yards in that situation to hopefully spark something. But understanding his motivation doesn't excuse the result. That fumble killed us and was the last thing in the world he should have let happen there. I appreciate the effort, but ya can't drop the friggin ball! BTW, I think Woods is going to have a really good year, especially if Listenbee can get on the field.
  4. I think there's a lot more to that than you're making it seem. I don't think it's necessarily the QB's that are so different; it's everything around them. Offenses are more complex and coaches are far more controlling of the play calls. If your coach tells you to call the play as they come in to you, that's what you do. Jim played in a different era. If he played today, and came up through college programs that take almost all responsibility off the QBs, and into an NFL that puts a leash on them (not to mention has to learn a new offensive system every 1-2 years as coaches move on or get fired), I doubt he would be the same type of player. Brady and Peyton got that point in today's game, so it's not like I'm saying it's impossible, but I don't think it's quite so cut and dry either.
  5. You're paying back your student loan? Don't people just not do that now?
  6. Unless you're a Miami fan and getting updates like this
  7. Yep, that's the job. You're assuming since you don't like it, nobody would. To put it into perspective, while I don't know much about it, just the idea of being in your line of work makes me want to take a long walk off a short pier. After what I've spent the last 18 years of my life doing, that job sounds great. But it's all just talk...I have better uses for my $50 right now.
  8. You take it wrong. Though never as owner, I'm not oblivious to the demands of the job. This isn't taking over Sandals; it's 16 rooms and a diving/fishing charter operation. It's also in a remote, far away place with close to all of the visitors showing up for those exact reasons (diving/fishing). No real Cheeseburger in Paradise concerns there. I'll admit, "dream job" was hyperbole, but the island lifestyle, diving, fishing, and ownership of a business is ideal for me. Even if it is a tough industry.
  9. Why do you say that? Because it's tough work? I'd do it in a minute. Hard work, but a great lifestyle. I've lived on islands for about 10 years total in my life and I would put this in the category of dream job.
  10. Yes, everyone knows these mocks aren't going to be accurate. It's just for random content and fun. Please get over yourselves.
  11. Were you drunk and eating them at 3am?
  12. I think those rookies are going to be bored to tears after a few hours of lectures in a classroom and won't retain most of what they're given. As for injuries, they still have to take the field sooner or later and their first time being with the vets could cause a higher rate of injuries as they are trying to keep up (probably not, but it's as legit as saying injuries will go down by not doing the 3 day camp). Also, I don't think those three days of camp are going to do a whole lot to combat the late season slump. IMO, a combination of the two might be a good idea. Plan to spend more time in the classroom and do lighter stuff on the field to help practice what they preach.
  13. Even if they're all limping?
  14. I'll be curious to see what network this airs on. This could end up being really bad if it isn't given the right treatment.
  15. I like Ragland in the second round, but I think I would have rather just waited to see who was there when we picked. Lots of talent still on the board; don't think it was necessary to lose picks. Anyway, worst case is we have a very talented LB and no 4th round picks...not a horrible thing.
  16. On the bright side, he came to the perfect team. No playoffs means more time to heal between seasons.
  17. Can't guarantee for this year since I haven't looked it up, but NFL.com has streamed the whole draft for at least 5 years now. Doubt they've changed it this year.
  18. As a Gator fan I can tell you that Jeff Driskel is not an NFL QB. He wasn't even a solid SEC QB. He has the tools, and he does very well in practice situations, but on game day, he just can't get it done. He doesn't know how to read defenses and make reads on the fly. He really just falls apart when things don't go as planned. The Gators' coaching while he was there wasn't ideal, and he had to deal with some injuries which hurt his development, but every time he got his chance to play he underwhelmed.
  19. She'll never get hired. She basically raped a classroom of babies; who would hire her after this incident?
  20. Can't see why he wouldn't be brought into a camp somewhere. With most teams going into camp with 4 QB's, you're inevitably scraping bottom of the barrel. But I think history has proven itself out here.
  21. Still better than asking to be traded before the pick is even in. Prove your worth!
  22. Locker room? It doesn't sit well with the starter...that's it. What a coward he is. Be a man, take on the challenge, and win your starting job no matter who the Eagles draft. If you can't, suck it up and realize that's on YOU, and help the other guy get ready for game day. ANYONE that goes after Bradford after this is an idiot (even more than before).
