Better...yes. I don't think I"m gong to settle down until the clock hits 0. I'm freakin out!

Trust me, this game isn't close to over. FL has a way of losing leads in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. They made it to the half, but I cringe thinking about how the team seems to come out slow after halftime. They are going to need this big league in the 4th quarter when the defense starts to slow down.

Bills may host 2007 Regular Season game in Europe

Right. The Bills faithful that can be counted on to sell out all their home games. -
FG? FG??? FIELD GOAL!!!!!

While it definitely would be an outstanding season, I'm kind of disappointed with the lack of a truly dominate number 2 team this season....and that goes for the whole season. Texas and (to a lesser extent) Michigan were both over rated as number 2's, and while the Gators earned their spot given the competition, they fall into the same boat as the teams above...number 2 by default. Beating 3 number 2's on their way to a championship sounds great, but with the watered down opposition this year it isn't quite as dominating as it sounds.

There's a video too. It was a hit. Not that I don't think the kid probably deserved it, but the father is saying that is was unprovoked. Like suddenly this guy is going to just hit some kid for no reason while he KNOWS there's cameras on him.

Actually, as a FL fan, I'm more worried about their offense vs. the Ohio defense. The way to beat Ohio is through a strong running game, and the Urban Meyer offense revolves around draws, reverses, and to a lesser extent options. Those, along with the passing game, I think Ohio can handle. If Wynn can have a strong game (he is very up and down), FL will have a much better chance at an upset...or just keeping it close. The Gators have a very strong defense led by a great defensive line and one of the better safeties in the country. What a lot of people don't realize is that FL had been really injury ridden the last few weeks of the season. In the championship game they were down to 3rd string Dlineman in two positions, they had a starting safety out, and a CB that was in and out of the lineup the whole game after pulling a hammy. On the other side of the ball Wynn and Harvin (two important pieces to the offense) were both playing hurt. I don't have much faith in the offense being able to hand with Ohio. They just don't have the pieces in place yet and I think a bad running game will lead to airing it out which will result in turnovers. I think the Gator defense will do fine, but will tire out by the fourth quarter and Ohio will be able to pull away. Score? I have no idea. Maybe Ohio by 13.

It'll be tough. The top 4 teams this year will all be better next year. Michigan and USC both have some great talent coming back next year instead of going pro. Ohio, while they were always expected to be really good, were supposed to have a bit of growing pains with a very young defense. FL will finally have the pieces in place to run the full Urban Meyer offense thanks to a top 2 recruiting class and Tim Tebow. Not to mention Texas and McCoy show great progress, and Oklahoma won't have to deal with so many unexpected holes. Next season is going to be really good.

It probably isn't the smart move, and one that will most likely not happen. But I'm not talking about what the smartest move may be. As a fan of the team, I'm tired of seeing a guy who could make huge differences in each game, only give it his all for maybe 5 a year. The best example is the Jets games. Whatever it is that motivates him for those games, he plays to his skill level every time out. Next week...eh, whatever. Another good example is his blitz pickup and "dancing" behind the line of scrimmage. He whiffs on his blocking and loses yardage because he won't hit the holes, then he gets called out, starts doing those things for a couple games, then goes back to his old lackluster ways. I have never said that Willis is not a talented player. I think if he wanted to he could consistently be one of the top 5 backs in the league, and most likely dropping him would be a set back for the Bills at least in the short run, but I just don't like seeing him on the field. Just my personal opinion of him.
-
One of my big hopes for the off-season is to see Willis traded. I'd take anything on the first day...no really. I agree that he has more talent than almost anyone on the team, but he just doesn't use it. The O-line arguments are a joke. If I saw McGahee TRYING to gain the tough yards, I would have a totally different opinion of him, but he just doesn't. No doubt in my mind he'll be gone after next season anyway...get what you can for him (I think they could get a second rounder) and find the best replacement you can. Honestly, I would be happier going into next season with and extra 2nd rounder and A. Thomas than I would be with Willis still on the roster. I've just had enough of him.

Irony, Rodney Harrison, and the NE Patriots
Acantha replied to Golden Wheels's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Harrison is the one player in any sport that I wouldn't care one bit at ANY injury he ever got. Hell, I root for it. -
Way to cry about not getting to the championship game only to be dominated in the bowl you did go to. Should (but I'm sure won't) put an end to the Michigan got screwed argument.
-
From what I've seen the TO comparison is right on. He's talented as hell, but he's a bit over the top with the celebrating and trash talking.
-
I wouldn't say I have a beef with the ending, but I really didn't understand it. The way the fight was going, especially at that point, I think Liddell would have won anyway, but Ortiz took it worse in the first round and they let it go. Just didn't make any sense to stop the fight at that point IMO. Hell, maybe another 5 seconds would have done it...but who knows.

Where the hell is my happy ending???

BBC. Certainly not perfect, but it's the only thing I look at anymore.

Has anyone seen a lot of Blalock? I haven't seen him play, and over the last couple weeks I've seen more than once that he is probably the most over rated player in the draft right now. Anyone that has actually watched him know why this would be?
-
The title may have thrown people off, but the question was really just "is he good enough to go in the first round", but not necessarily to Buffalo in the first round.
-
Just so everyones on the same page....No one is saying the Bills should draft a FB in round one. No one.
-
Normally I would agree, and I do agree about round 1, but I could see him going in round 2. More likely early 3rd round, but 2 wouldn't surprise me at all. He can be used as a fullback and 3rd down/change of pace back. With more and more teams wanting to have two solid RB's on the roster, Leonard could be the exception to the FB rule.

For the married guys on the board...

Yeah, that will work all the way up to the point where you suggest you should work out together...then your screwed.
