  1. That's kind of covered in number 4. One thing I always get a kick out of in movies is when a speeding car crashes into the back of another car, instead of just crashing into it....it rides up the back of it, launches into the air and flips over sideways. It's great! I remember I saw a TV show once that did that and you could clearly see the ramp behind the parked car!
  2. When reading the quotes from Hans George, does anyone else think he sounds like Serge from Beverly Hills Cop? mmmmm....okay, just me. Uniforms could have been worse.
  3. Do really not know where to "dig up" these stats? Our offense should be pretty good this year. A bigger, better offensive line. Enough improvement on the line to be able to use our TE in the passing game. A QB who was playing really good football at the end of the year and is only getting better. A future pro bowl WR. Yes, I think if Rhodes came here he would be the same average back as he is in Indy.
  4. Stallworth is good...if he can stay healthy this year. I honestly would rather see them sign Moss.
  5. The same as he looked for the Colts. Rhodes: 4.1 Brown: 4.2 Clearly Brown is much better.
  6. Does this thread really exist?
  7. Hopefully that's the plan. He's not a number 1 guy.
  8. For starters, Briggs for McGahee would never....ever....happen, but Benson has shown almost nothing in Chicago. He's been injured and hasn't been able to carry the load. I only saw a few games this season, but every time I saw Benson in he was screwing something up. Right after the Super Bowl Jones said he wanted to be on the team anymore and asked to be traded. Chicago isn't trading just because they have all sorts of faith in Benson. IMO, they will be be looking for another RB, though I would guess they use the draft and that new second rounder to find a partner for Benson.
  9. Since Jones and Briggs both want out of Chicago, trade them Takeo, McGahee, and a pick for Briggs. We get rid of the guys that don't want to be here, Chicago gets rid of the same, and we get the best cover 2 OLB in the game right now. The pick is the problem.
  10. No, not clever. Fact. Unless McGahee gets moved, which doesn't seem to be happening, RB is pretty low on the list this year.
  11. Then see my response to MDH. As long as last year was an average draft, I would expect the team as a whole to step up.
  12. Okay, and I agree with everything you said. Before I make my main point, I would also like to add that I think Crowell and Spikes are capable of making those calls. It doesn't have to be the sole responsibility of the MLB. That said, I agree that any rookie MLB is going to have a serious learning curve. The important factor I'm trying to draw attention to isn't based on a rookie CB and rookie MLB coming in and matching NC and LF performance. It's bringing in a coupe rookies to add to the team to match or even surpass the productivity of last years team. Last year, we had two rookies at DT, a rookie who had a quite a bit of playing time at LB, and two rookie safeties. Those rookies, making rookie mistakes and tryign to adjust to playing in the NFL, made serious mistakes that surely caused a lot of problems. Not only do those rookies now have a year under their belts, but the entire team has a year of experience playing in a new system for new coaches. I do not think there are rookies out there than can replace NC and LF, but I think this team as a whole certainly has the potential to at least match last years productivity.
  13. The question I'm asking though is do you think they could draft players that will begin to have an impact...I don't know, at the very end of the season, next season, and/or beyond?
  14. Why in your opinion can't the Bills replace last season's production through the draft? Is the level of talent that this year's draft has, or is it the fact that rookies can't match what players with experience can put forth?
  15. For starters, I wasn't taking offense, I was responding to the way you said it. Before I moved out of the country 3 years ago I had season tickets and yes, I agree that there are things you see at the game that can't be seen on TV. What I don't agree with is using that make sure everyone knows you are right and they are wrong. You say I can get my info on TBD and then leave. Well, if you don't think you can get reasonable discussion from people who only see things on TV, then TSW is also not the place to go. I agree 100% with what you say about people who act like this. On the other hand, what I do not understand is why these people have any affect on the posters of this board. Why respond to someone like AD who is obviously doing nothing but trying to cause trouble? Why not just blow it off? The only reason I'm responding so much to this thread is because you, unlike the others you've called out, at least have a history of offering football discussion, but since Marv and Jauron were hired you have done nothing but bad mouth every single move. You have become what you say you hate. If you want to discuss football, discuss it. But from the title of this thread to the berating nature of you responses (and not just to the doomed crowd) is the exact definition if douchebag behavior. So anyway, I've had more than my say. I'll respond with a more football related focus after this.
  16. The problem is that the only answer or discussion that can be given to most of the opinion on the board right now is "it's only March 4th". Yes, BADOL finally clearly stated that he thinks Nate should have been re-signed above the others. At least that was something I can disagree with. But the posts that say we are ignoring the defense and are screwed are just too premature. We have no idea what else is in store for the offseason! And BADOL keeps making the point that he wants to discuss football, but then trashes anyone who says anything else. His "I'm at the game and you're not" speech was nice, but basically he is saying that when he decides to give his opinion, it's right and everyone else is a moron reveling in the scraps that the media decides to hand down to us. So what kind of football discussion can come from that? And really, other than saying that I disagree with him and would have much rather spent the money on the OL than on a CB, what's left to discuss? Nobody has any idea how any of these guys (including Clements) will perform next year. BADOL has said he wants to be here to discuss football, but has spent most of this thread bickering with people he could just as easily be ignoring. One of the people who gave a football related opinion, he called a jackass. So why is his opinion so much more important? Why is everyone here so hypocritical?
  17. So the sarcasm is okay as long as it's on the side of an argument you agree with?
  18. Lost players and didn't add any back??? Do you have any idea why the sarcastic posts keep coming your way about it being March? We have lost two important players. We have also upgraded two important positions. So right now, I'd say we are about even as far as who we have lost and gained as a team. And as far as the two we lost, we still have 4 months to find replacements. There will be more FA's brought in. There is still a draft coming up. And as I've said before, stop acting like this front office is the same as the last two we have had. It just doesn't make sense. What players did we lose last year that we didn't replace that screwed the Bills? You're talking about Adams? Other posts have covered him. How about Vincent and Moulds? How are they doing right now? Milloy? Replaced. Talking about the last 7 years is pointless. Talk about last year. Talk about this year. Talk about where the team is headed in the next few years. Stop living in the past with your bitter perceptions of GM's and coaches that aren't even here anymore.
  19. You were in math class for 8 hours a day?
  20. It makes sense. The big theme of last years NCAA was the playbooks and "trick plays". With the way Boise won that last game, I'm sure they captured the attention of EA.
  21. What do you think it would take to get Lance Briggs (who wants to be traded) from Chicago? Think players and picks. (forget about money considerations for the moment, I'm just curious about possibilities)
