Guess you'll have to read that again. It doesn't say it shouldn't be legal. Big difference. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Would you like to point out in my reply where I said people shouldn't be allowed to do it? Having the freedom to do something comes with repercussions including looking like a warped, stretched out version of yourself, and taking ridicule for it. But keep up you're non-sense...reality be damned!

They should be faulted for the way they go about it. From society down to the individual, getting surgery simply to make yourself look younger should not be an acceptable action. It may be the reality of the world we live in, but that doesn't mean it should automatically be treated like it's okay.

Big Ben wants Steelers to go for 2 after every TD
Acantha replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The first part of my post is not wrong...at least for now. After years of data, you can make an argument for season statistics, but right now, it's one game at a time. As for the last part of my post, you're right, analytics is there to overcome that. But human nature is what it is. You watch Rex Ryan go for two for no reason, have that cost a game, and see how crazy the media and fans react. As Kirby said, only a coach with great job security can pull off the testing of that theory. -
Big Ben wants Steelers to go for 2 after every TD
Acantha replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For each individual game, not the year. You could get all of your 2 point conversions in games that don't end up mattering (blowout loss or win) and miss them all in close games where that is the difference between a win and a loss. 50% for the year, but your record is worse. Obviously that's an extreme example. Lose ONE game because you went for a two point conversion that you didn't have to, and this whole argument goes away. In a 16 game season where every win matters, you just can't take the chance. -
Prior to this event, I would have never thought there was a way for a 4 year old child to actually get into an exhibit. Maybe I would have realized it if I was there and paid attention to the area enough to figure it out, but my assumption would have been that it was basically impossible (as it really should be). If my kid was telling me they wanted to go down to see the gorilla, I would have laughed and waived it off just like all of the other non-sense that he comes up with 300 times a day (my son is 2 1/2). I do agree that many, many parents don't pay enough attention to their kids in public places, but I just can't get on bored with the idea that this mother should have been ready for this particular outcome.

And this is why the reboot instead of a new continuation series. Too much damn history to try and figure out all the ins and outs of every single scene in every single story line to see if it jives with the fanboys.

ESPN: Ryans planning to take control.

This makes no sense. He's going to surround himself with his people, go all in on his way of doing things, but then have the ability to get the GM fired when none of that works? Talk about throwing **** against a wall. -
Bills have new media reporting guidelines
Acantha replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But what if a player won't talk to them????? And what if no one will give them juicy click bait quotes????? -

I agree with pretty much all of that....and don't care. -

And fans have a right to every single detail of every single practice? Why is this so important? This is a media policy...if fans want to report on what they've seen, they can. If it doesn't happen, the rest of us will just have to fight on in our every day lives and somehow learn to muster up enough fortitude to make it through our days without an opportunistic (and worthless) injury rumor (that we'll still get a couple of hours later when they interview the coach), or knowing who may have sacked the QB if this was a real game and actually mattered...at all. -

Awww...I feels so bad for the media. Now they can all get angry and team up to bully everyone while throwing a giant pity party for themselves! This is a story for like 10 minutes (well, other than the Rodak/Graham types who will harp on it forever). Get used to it and move on. -
That's one hell of an auto correct! I don't have cable, so I only see what's on Netflix. Have to wait a while to see the new stuff.

Watched the two season of TURN and it was better than I was expecting. Looking forward to more.

And now they had to kill it. I think it's time we come to term with the fact that as species, we're now too ignorant to have free access to nature.

Personally, I don't think it has as much to do with one area supporting the other area. I just think it comes down to what works for one (an area less than 500 sq mi with over 9 million people) isn't going to work for the other (smaller cities, large areas of agriculture). I think any fear about separating the two is unfounded. There are plenty of states with similar profiles to NYS w/out NYC that manage just fine. NYS has plenty going for it, and I do agree that if you get rid of the ridiculous taxes, businesses will come back (though probably not in a huge dramatic way like proponents of this split are probably hoping).

Great story, Kevon Seymour and our scouting Department

I don't really think many other states come close to the situation that New York has. California has LA, San Diego, San Jose, and San Fran. It's state with many big cities and suburbs. Similar in Texas with Houston, San Antonio, Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin and El Paso. VA isn't even close. I think Illinois is probably the closest, but even there Chicago has about 2.5 million more residents than the next biggest city. New York City has over 8 million more people than the next biggest city, and about 7 million more than the next 10 cities combined. It really sticks out. One of the things I'm most curious about is your last point. Would NYC try to stop it? My sense is that they are high enough on themselves that they should be in the front of the action demanding their own government that doesn't have deal with "Upstate".
-
I don't think any of the state politicians would be in favor. Even if it makes sense, nobody wants to lose what they have. Back when I originally saw this there was an article about it I read that was full of people from the city who were throwing out insults left and right, but most of them ended up saying that the rest of NY would crumble without the revenue of the city. Funny though that they wouldn't be for the idea if they think that's true.
-
Divide NYS I saw this probably about 9 months ago and forgot about it, but I was reminded about it reading the housing thread. From the site: I haven't lived in NY since I was a kid, so really don't have much an opinion, but I am curious about he opinions of those on the board. Possible? Good idea? Pointless? I know it's not a new idea to spit up the state into two separate states, but this is the first time I've heard about going this route. There's a lot of info out there about how this has to happen to make it all work out legally, etc..., and you can question it to death, but I'm just curious about the concept overall and whether people would be for it.

ESPN 30 for 30 on Cleveland sports - updated ending to air

They seem to be hitting that theme a lot lately. "This Magic Moment" is another, and as a Bills and Magic fan it is getting a little depressing...but still worth watching. I'm actually looking forward to this one; need to revel in someone else's misery for once!!
