  1. No, and actually I don't think anyone thinks that. But, unlike you, I don't think it would be horrible if they did. Before the Spikes trade I would have thought Hall in the first was a very good pick. Now, I still wouldn't be pissed, but it takes a big back seat to LB IMO. If I were doing the picking, I wouldn't start looking at CB until the Baltimore pick in the 3rd round (our 3rd rounder if someone I had highly ranked slipped that far), but I don't think taking one early is so bad.
  2. 3 out of those 5 listed are not first rounders and two of them could slip to day 2. So no, that wasn't what he was saying.
  3. Obviously a lie. Paris Hilton anyone?
  4. Well said, that's exactly how I feel. Not that everyone has said this, but I am so sick of hearing that Turner is an unproven back and that we much better off going with Peterson or Lynch. It's like bizzaro world.
  5. I'm guessing this all happened in a dream anyway. It doesn't seem odd to anyone else that the heads of our team were meeting in middle of the owners meeting, with press and agents from every other team in the league walking around, and talking about the state of the team?
  6. Well, at least you've taken yourself out of the reasonable argument segment of this thread.
  7. His YPC average since he's been in the league is the exact definition of spectacular.
  8. And Williams, another guy that will be out of his rookie season and looking to improve.
  9. That doesn't make any sense. What we have seen from Turner is that he excels every time he's in the game. He may or may not be able to do that in Buffalo as a full time back, but it doesn't change the fact that it is what we has shown in his time in the NFL. How is drafting ANYONE in the 2nd or 3rd an improvement on that?
  10. But the system isn't designed to have a "run stuffer" at DT. The DT's are supposed to get into the backfield to disrupt plays (obviously stop them if they can), and the LB's are supposed to attack and clean up. It may not be what many of us want to see, but it is what it is. McGee, Youboty, and Thomas are not enough to hold the secondary together IMO. We don't need a CB with the first pick, but we do need one first day.
  11. Does this whole scenario seem unlikely to anyone else?
  12. I know most people outside of OH and FL fans probably don't like seeing those two teams back in a championship game, but it sure does make for a great storyline. No matter who wins it will be awesome for their fans. Either FL keeps it's domination in the major college sports and takes down the Buckeyes twice, or the Buckeyes actually get their chance for revenge on NCAA's biggest stage. Not to mention the fact that they are both excellent teams playing great ball right now.
  13. Good stuff!
  14. What I like is that there appears to be 4 LB's with 1st round talent (though I think only Willis should be drafted to play in the middle), which makes trading down much safer. I always hate to hear "if we want _____ we can trade down and get him later". Maybe, maybe not. You always take a chance with trade downs. Who knows what players teams are looking at. I think if there's one guy you want, you take him. But Willis, Poz, Timmons, and Beason all available and going throughout the first, they can trade down and still have a great chance of getting a good LB if that's what they decide they want.
  15. Well, that's an easy one to figure out.
  16. Ha....on a whim I looked up "annoying poster". The results were as expected.
  17. Mostly has to do with the lack of pictures in the threads (best thing about board) and advertising (thanks to donations). The clean look does wonders.
  18. You're borderline insane?
  19. Ever heard the Dutch version by Ome Henk? Somewhat translated into:
  20. Where's Ahr & Ahr & Associates when you need them.
  21. Of course a playoff system is better, I just meant that I'm sure if your team won under the current system, you wouldn't be so quick to declare they weren't really champions.
