Again, I'm not ecstatic about the Byrd pick, but he was a highly rated CB (Between what NFLN, ESPN, and various online rankings I've looked at, he was the 5th best CB) and there was a big run on CB's in the second round. I'd say there was almost no chance he would be there in the 3rd. So if they really wanted him, I think they took him at the right time.

For some reason they never play the same in the post season. And what's up with Turk? I know he's injured and all, but he looks lost out there. I can't figure it out.

Considering the way he acted about the contract, I have to agree. If someone had said we could trade Peters for two starting linemen, I'd have said it would be a good trade.

How did we get hosed by the Cowboys? Considering the number of picks between their 2nd and our 3rd, I thought that was a good trade. When it first came through I thought it was going to be a 3d next year along with the one this year. I didn't want Maybin and didn't like the Byrd pick, but as a whole, this is a great day for us on paper. Needs were filled with very solid players.

Still the rumors out there that could affect our draft. Will Parrish get traded? Can the Henderson for a 4th happen?

Damn....I hit send twice when I didn't mean to. Levitre was the last OL in this draft that I thought could come in and start immediately. Now that they have done this, I'm am psyched about this draft. We have starters at both Guard positions and Center. A new pass rusher. And probably a new safety. Good job Bills.

I think they are related. I don't consider the nickel and dime corners "starters". The top two guys are the ones I talk about when I say starter, and I do not think those are easily filled in the draft. It takes a very talented CB to keep up with the top WR's in the NFL, and most CB's have a hard time making that transition. And again, I'm not defending the pick. I wanted Unger, and am pretty upset they passed on him.

I would say QB, OT, WR, and CB are the hardest positions to make the jump to NFL.

I completely understand passing on Brown. I completely do not understand passing on some excellent OL talent still on the board.

Not that this matters, but: 1. No doubt in my mind they drafted him to play Safety 2. He returns punts 2a. My guess is you see Parish traded this weekend.
