  2. Since it seems to have been lost by almost everyone in the media, I want to draw attention to how great that last shot by Jamal Lewis was to put Orlando up at end of the 4th. It may not have been with less than a second on the clock, but that thing was beautiful! He really deserves more spotlight for that. Also: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?page=dime-090527
  3. You don't mean Lebron tripping over his own feet and getting a foul? Of course Dwight gets raped underneath and nothing. This is sick.
  4. Yeah, for Mo Williams that's called the playoffs.
  5. Anyone waiting to see the refs push this series in one direction should be watching this game.
  6. That's great! Looks like a fun movie.
  7. Looks like a throwback (and spoof) to the old B monster movies. Probably be about as good, which isn't a bad thing IMO. Certainly doesn't look like it's taking itself seriously.
  8. 76 last night, 86 the night before in Orlando. It's gotten out of control.
  9. Is the the official thread of it being official?
  10. I used to be a huge NFL nut. Watched as many games as I could, could name most of the starters on every team, knew all the weaknesses and strengths....it was crazy. Over about a 7 or 8 year period, I slowly lost interest in almost all NFL and was completely taken over by NCAA. At this point, if it doesn't directly involve the Bills, I hardly take notice. Meanwhile, I watch every college game I can, no matter the team, conference, or subdivision. Yes, the BCS adds a sour note, but anyone who doesn't watch for that is missing out, and not really a college fan. Those kids hit the field every game with everything on the line. They pour their hearts into the game, playing for the pride of the their schools, their states, hopes of a future in the NFL, or even just their popularity on campus (which I'm sure is a big enough prize for a 19 year old kid being treated like a god). Doesn't matter who's playing. Could be perennial top 10 team vs a long time bottom dweller, there's always the chance of an upset, and they always give it everything they have. There may be rules that could be better, and a playoffs are must that will become a part of the game sooner or later. But for pure football, I don't think the NFL comes close.
  11. One of my favorite songs (from one of my favorite movies). I just looked up the Adam Lambert version. Very different, and I like Jules' version better, but I wouldn't say he ruined it. Somewhere in between the Jules and Tears for Fears version (which I really don't like)
  12. That's pretty much my feeling too. At about the 2:00 minute mark I was saying, hey, win or lose, this a great game for the Magic. To be able to fight their way back into like that was huge. Of course it still felt miserable watching them lose like that, but overall I feel good about the game. Before this series started I don't think I would have been confident about any game, but at this point I fully expect two wins at home. Can't wait till Sunday!!
  13. I agree, and things just won't be any good until people are put behind bars for alcohol and caffeine consumption.
  14. Eh....if you can come up with something better than that, maybe I'll try to take it seriously.
  15. Haven't seen the pro-PCP crowd yet.
  16. IMO, anything that takes away the desire to score a TD over a FG ruins the game.
  17. I love the OT system in college. It's part of what makes the whole game! But I wouldn't want to see it in the NFL. I think they should just go to Sudden Death after the second possession.
  18. I think someone should hack at his legs with an ax. Wait....
  19. Well, that would keep most of Washington from reproducing. That article is horrible. Sometimes it's hard to believe stuff like that actually happens.
  20. Oh come on....how could that possibly make it through?
  21. I can't believe that last shot didn't go in. The way these games have been going, when that shot left his hands I was sure it was in. So huge to come away with at least one win in Cleveland. Hopefully they can pull one out on Friday!
  22. I think this is better than the others.
  23. Ooops... Hmmm....I don't know. I stand by my first comment, and I'll throw in Alba too.
