  1. You can do almost everthing they do for free on your own. I looked into it about a year ago, and it gave me some good ideas to do myself. Along with my credit monitoring, I get all the same stuff for quite a bit less money.
  2. Seems like an interesting thing to research. I've always heard that you can trace back many serial killers lives and find early animal abuse, but I don't think I've ever seen anything saying that XX% of people that abuse animals, either in childhood or as adults, continue on to human related abuse. It could be something like .01 %, which makes it a worthless indicator.
  3. It's always something though, no matter which way the game goes. The Magic played pretty bad in game two, but it was 4 missed foul shots down the stretch and a missed layup that lost them the game. But if they had made those foul shots, would that mean they win? No, it just means the game goes in a different direction. It would have been great to see the Magic have such a great shooting night and put the game away early. And it would have been great for the Lakers (and their fans) to have taken advantage of a bad night for almost the whole Magic team in game 2, but neither thing happened. I think if you're looking at history to find a future winner, you go with the Magic. A team that lost big it's first game, barely lost the second, and won the third with a great offensive game. Of course my point is that past performance really means nothing, and looking at individual baskets (except of course for last second shots) to find a reason for a win or loss means just as little, so in the end all you can do is wait and see.
  4. It drives me nuts when they do it in the first 2 minutes of the game, but Kobe earned it in the first quarter (and throughout the first half). Dude's just ridiculous when he's playing his best. On the other hand, all the bitching, complaining and flopping he does throughout a game, not to mention the refs giving him too much (oh, and the rapist thing), makes me hate the guy.
  5. I believe they have to wait for the season to start, but I could be wrong.
  6. Not sure about favorite, but the first that comes to mind is Al Swearengen.
  7. The RiverWalk is the touristy area and fun to check out, but it gets boring pretty quick. Any time I'm around there I try to hit up Howl at the Moon. I've been there half a dozen times and always had a good time.
  8. That would be true if it was only 3's they were missing. They couldn't hit jumpers or layups either. Just completely laid an egg.
  9. Despite the fact that I'm disgusted with the way it went down, I'm not totally put off by this game. The Lakers played very well, but this game wasn't a case of the Magic just being dominated and not being play with the Lakers talent. For whatever reason (maybe jitters, whatever...) the Magic were just off on everthing they did. They couldn't get ANYTHING to drop, and after a while it just completely got to them and they let it affect everything else. But the shots were there. They had open looks, and especially throughout the first half they were moving the ball around well. It wouldn't have even taken an extraordinary performance to make that a good game, all it would have taken would be normal performance by the team. Whether they can dust themselves off and come back and play their game is up in the air I guess. But after watching that game, I'm convinced they are talented enough and able to stand toe to toe and win these games.
  10. JAMEEER! Look at him go!
  11. At least that's one of us! I'm nervous as hell.
  12. Is the book that good/different? I like the movie, in a cheesy, B, Sci-Fi sorta way. But the way it's filmed (with the whole news report thing), I can see it being different and annoying to someone who has read the book. I don't normally read much Sci-Fi, but I might check it out.
  13. I would guess that it's actually the other way around.
  14. Fight Club
  15. I wouldn't say cheap.
  16. Howard would almost ALWAYS get his two, and as a coach, you NEVER take an almost guaranteed two over the possibility of the 3. If you do read the thread or have listened to anyone talk about the Magic over the course of the playoffs, you'll hear the same thing: "They're going to die by the 3." What they are doing right now just isn't normally done, and every game plan will be drawn up just like Cleveland's was. You just can't logically have a gameplan that consists of giving Howard 40+ points a game and still allows everyone else to get their shots (it's not like all of their shots come off Howard assists, not even close).
  17. And now we see the Zoo's revenge.
  18. I CANT be? You want Kobe to get the same bull sh-- "star" treatment that Lebron gets. It's the most hypocritical post I've seen. When it comes to the Lakers, you are the most bllindly biased person I've come across, as proven during the Kobe debacle a few years ago.
  19. Honestly, I don't care either way.
  20. http://www.ktvu.com/news/19602045/detail.html Settled....win for the dorks.
  21. I was going to post the same thing. When I first started watching I didn't think it was going to be my cup of tea. I don't care one way or the other about language, but a lot of comedians use it as a crutch and I generally don't like their act. I was laughing my ass off at this guy though. Crude as hell, but funny.
  22. Amazing how you can actually B word about Kobe NOT getting phantom calls. After all, he IS a superstar. But its ok right...I mean its the lakers
  23. But isn't there a reason that credit and property value is decreasing? And isn't creating money from nothing in order to fill the void feading right into those same problems? I also think that one of the big things people miss is that we are already (and have been for some time) standing on very shaky ground. Even if there is zero inflation, if the world decides to come off the dollar standard (not even the world, just a couple of important countries) the dollar will be destroyed. If the world doens't want to hold our currency, it's end game. My point here being that it doesn't even matter if we inflate, both because we've already inflated more than enough, and also because all it takes is for the world to believe that we are destroying our dollar. If they believe enough, they will decide to take their bumps and bruises and go another way. At that point, we are at their mercy to help us out of bankruptcy. I think it's a dangerous game Bernanke (and everyone behind him) is playing right now.
  24. Dude, that was so East.
