  1. I have no idea why, but I'm expecting a win.
  2. Can't say I had a flashback. But I swear to god, as NE was kicking off, I saw the time left, thought about how well the Jackson was moving the ball, and I thought ,"How are they going to lose this??" About 5 seconds later I said, "Ohhhhhhhh... okay."
  3. If it isn't fake, that guy has heads in his freezer.
  4. Damn....maybe that's why Bell kept lining up so far back?
  5. So was I. Can't say he played perfectly, but he was really fighting out there and was getting pressure. He caught my eye quite a bit while he was in.
  6. As long as we're not letting him know he's the best special teamer in the NFL, I'm good with it.
  7. I found it. 3 quarter 1-10-NE 28 (4:21) (No Huddle) 22-F.Jackson left tackle to NE 32 for -4 yards (31-B.Meriweather). Edwards gets to the line and makes a call, then looks like he audibles out. Someone clearly shouts "it's a run" twice, and you see the LB's scoot up and attack. EDIT: BTW, this play proves once again that Shouman is a huge liability when blocking.
  8. Unfortunately, due to my digust, I immediately deleted my recording of the game last night so this isn't going to be as specific as I would like it be, but: There was a play last night that Edwards lined up, did his audible at the line, and the Pats defense all started shouting, "IT'S A RUN! IT'S A RUN". Sure enough, it was. This had me thinking: 1. Are the audibles too simplistic? Are defenses going to be figuring them out before the end of the game? What about when we face them a second time? 2. Edwards really should have adjusted the call there. Did anybody else hear this? If there's already a thread about it, please link me to it. With the hundreds of posts since the game, it's tough to search through.
  9. Maybe he'll step out of the endzone, take a knee at the 1, then flip off the crowd.
  10. ZOLTAN!
  11. I'm no help for this question because I can't get myself to buy pepperoni. I'll pick it up in the grocery store and see the absolutely insane amount of calories and fat (not to mention minuscule serving size), and I just can't do it. I'll order mine from somewhere so I can pretend I don't know how bad it is.
  12. Now that the season's started, might be time for 3.0. Maybe it can start with...... So Tim, whatcha think?
  13. How sad is it that so many have stories like this? I always have trouble trying to convince people that they just can't win like this.
  14. I said the exact same thing. You know what makes it worse? I would have better if we had gotten creamed. I would have been actually HAPPY with a 10 point loss, as long as the line played well and we didn't get embarrassed. But no, they have to find a way to make this hurt. It's unreal.
  15. It will never, ever stop.
  16. What the hells the matter with you? Put some pepperoni in your car and drive it to AZ with you! Think about it this way, if it was your kids, would you just buy new ones when you got to AZ? No!
  17. Me too. Does seem kind of weird for him to say different things at different times though. Especially when he has one of the most read national columns in the country where he predicted a blow-out this morning.
  18. Everything you quoted that's wrong with capitalism came about through governement interference. From laws made to promote certain companies to laws formed to force and (over) protect unions. Capitalism certainly has it's faults, but government exacerbates those faults to horrific levels.
  19. I'd say the first quote is fine. The second one, why? Why do you have to title a thread that way when it can just as easily be said in your post?? It doesn't make sense. And on Sunday (or Monday), I'll stay off the main board till I watch all my games. On Thursdays and Saturday, I'll stay off the college football board. Along with not going to ESPN, NFL.com, etc... But "stay offline" is ridiculous when it's just as easy to be courteous and NOT post spoilers where they're not needed. Doesn't seem like a stretch to request people to be polite, at absolutely no cost to them.
  20. Thanks for the recommendation! Looked around and listened to a few of their songs; definitely a good sound. I like Great Expectations.
  21. No. I don't.
  22. As a neutral observer, I think this was the only bad call. Sure, some of the others could have gone the other way, but you can say that on almost any play. I didn't understand calling that play back though (unless the booth has angles they don't show on TV). That said, the play calling at the end of the game for ND was really bad. I think they could have pulled out the win with better clock management. It seemed very high school like. I said it in a thread the other day, and I picked Michigan this week in my pick-em for this reason, coaching. Even though I think ND is the more talented team, I have more faith in RR to get in position to win, no matter how he has to pull it out of @ss to do it. I bet in another 2 years Michigan is in the title hunt.
  23. Not trying to be a dick here, but in the days of DVR's and game replays, is it really necessary to post scores in the thread titles? If anyone clicks on a thread with the team names in the title, they can expect to find the score or talk about the game in the thread, it doesn't help to have the result where it can't be avoided, especially on the wrong board (don't get me wrong, I like having CFB discussion on EVERY board). I'd add this request be for other sporting events as well. Boxing, MMA, Soccer, Basketball, etc... Thanks!
  24. I agree that Belichick is good at finding QB's that work for him, but the article offers no insight into how.
  25. We have a guy who played and coached his whole life.
