You mean would it make a difference in you trashing a country that you know nothing about? Yeah....I think so. And yes, I have spent time there. But since I'm not the one talking out of my ass in this thread, that doesn't really matter. -

Stop asking me for donations in the checkout line
Acantha replied to sullim4's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I don't get the problem with just saying no. Do you dedicate your 10% so that everyone can know what a wonderful person you are? If not, then who cares what anyone around you thinks when you say no? I've never seen a checkout person push the issue, like saying "are you suuure?", or something similar. Takes 5 seconds to ask and say no. -
For starters, I think most of the excessive celebration penalties are crap, and that includes the two today. But despite what the announcers were saying, I don't think either one was called on the individual scoring the TD (though the second one was close). I think they were called on excessive team celebration. And while I don't agree with the rule, I think it was the correct call on the GA touchdown. I think the LSU TD was less severe, but they called it because the first once was called and they didn't want to look they were favoring one team.

"This" Seriously, is "I agree" too much to type now? (and who gets to be the clever one to agree with this?)

I think you can look through history and find which schools have QB's go on to have success in the NFL (some mentioned already). But if you're looking for schools that would do so today, I really don't think there are any. I think USC would be the first to come to mind with Palmer, Leinart and Cassel, but really Leinart hasn't done that well and Cassel has yet to prove himself. But having 3 players with some level of success (I would consider a top backup as "some" success) in the NFL at one time is pretty good. I think their rep as a top QB college will be decided over the next 3 years, one way or another (especially if Barkley progesses as everyone thinks he will and is a top pick 3 or 4 years from now). Outside of USC, I can't think of any.

He's going to get kneed to the back of the head in the NFL? Overrated my ass. What Tebow does in the next level has nothing to do with how he's "rated" as a college player. Get over the trite jealousy crap already. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writ...-fsu/index.html

Since the Bills have the look of a 6-10 team ...

Jeff Fischer. NO WAY they keep him around after going 0-16. -

That one dude without the shirt was pretty damn tough. Smacked across the face with a board and just shrugged it off! Guy that hit him took off!

Whatever gets you through the week. And as a nole, I fully understand that all you have to root for is a head injury to player from another team. Keep it classy!

Sports Illustrated had a chart a up a few weeks ago showing how many OOC top 25 opponents each team has had over the past two years. State had 2 more than Florida. Want to guess where those two games came from? Of course, if they did a chart showing how many top 25 teams are played each year in and out of conference, it wouldn't even be close. Keep spewing your garbage, you can always change your tune later when it suits you. Or just make more exuses like "we gave that one away" or "all teams have trouble against weaker competition", or "just two yards from being ranked 15".

Amazing what an immature ass you are. How did it feel having your school lose to the one you have laughed at on this board for the past couple years?? Bet it was a wonderful experience. Maybe even came close to that feeling of dread you must have had half way through the fourth quarter of the Jax game. And lets not pretend that you all of a sudden feel that the Bulls are a legit team. When others on this board have brought them up as a new team to compete with in FL, you have literally laughed at them and called them idiots. Still laughing? At least there are schools out there that FL can pad their stats against. Where does state have to go next to find weak enough competition to do so? But keep beating that drum, even while your playing Jax State, North Carolina State, and Maryland. Gators are sick of playing a school that offers no competition yet plays dirty has hell while they're losing. Ask S. Florida how they feel about the late hits out of bounds and extra hits on the ground they were taking yesterday at the end of that game. And you know the funniest part? You've been on here saying for two years now that good old Jimbo is the one who is truly in charge of that team, and the senile old coot is just a figure head. Might want to stop pushing that argument, no? I mean hell, if Jimbo really is in charge, and that team is still playing THAT bad....wow.

My definition is fine. Figure it out yourself.

If he had wanted out, he would have come out. I'm sure he was asked. As far as starters in general, they tend to stay in for the first two series of the 3rd quarter, no matter the score. Just seems to be the basic guideline they use every week.

Your last two posts on this board are the most outstandingly hypocritical posts that I can ever remember seeing in a such a short period of time.

After watching every game over the past 4 years, it was the weirdest thing in the world seeing him go down and not hop right back up. The bye week is good, but if they can get everyone over the flu and back up to playing level in the next two weeks, Brantley can keep them going until at least Halloween when they play in Jacksonville.

Must have changed since the first few seasons. All I remember is a bunch of whiny, annoying people proving the rest of the worlds opinions of Americans as rude, obnoxious jerks.

Quick Summary: This guy sent out letters to every NFL team telling them that he is a free agent fan and asking them why he should be a fan of their team. Guess who was the first team to respond (did T.O. say something about good PR guys?)? So far, only 3 replies, and it's mostly just PR packages. Nothing in the form of explanations why he should be a fan of their team (not that I would expect them to take the time to do that). Anyway, seems like a good idea for a fun experiment. Here's his first BLOG post/letter to the teams. http://www.singlewhitefan.com/

I think Consolers of the Lonely is one of the top albums of the past 20 years. It took me a long time to come to that way of thinking, but I've had that album since it was released and I still listen to it, from start to finish, regularly (about once a week).

He said what he was talking about, didn't he? How much more do you need? The ENTIRE thing: There's also a bit about lots of penalties, but for the original topic, that's it.
