  1. No, it's because the Bills suck really bad. Keep up, would ya?
  2. I wouldn't be surprised to see some rules changes coming. It takes a while for things like that to happen in college, but my guess is something will happen in the next few years.
  3.  This is great! I hate tennessee, so I certainly don't mind seeing the slight against them (though it does leave the possibility of them actually finding a good coach). Also means USC is going nowhere.
  4. Hawaii can. And like you said, a big chunk of it is parking and association fees.
  5. I haven't been watching, but if they run short of ideas they should give Tipster a call.
  6. Nothing like making our new coach (not Cowher) feel welcome.
  7. Fox is scheduled to make a little under 6 million next year. That doesn't sound like an insurmountable obstacle if a team wanted him.
  8. I like Haslett and under different circumstances (if we were a good team that maybe had a coach retire, for instance) wouldn't be too unhappy if he came here to coach. And while most people have absolutely no knowledge whatsoever of his coaching outside of his record, it's tough to argue in his favor with how things went in NO. As a rule, I never take much account of a coaches first year on a team, good or bad. Take away his first year with the Saints and Haslett was 35-45, with his worst year (3-13) coming at the end (after he'd had control of the team for 6 years). Outside of that he was middle of the road, between 7-9 and 9-7. That's basically the same place we are now. You're right, NO was a bottom dweller, but so are the Bills! We have to have a coach that can get us off the bottom, and while the BIG NAME coaches may not work out, I think it's probably better to go with a relatively unknown up-and-comer instead of a known mediocre commodity. We might as well have hope for a few years. When we hired Jauron, I was all about giving him a chance. Even though his over-all record was poor, he had shown the ability to build a winner and I was more than willing, even excited, to give him that chance. In the end, his history proved true. Maybe it's just being gun-shy, but I'm not ready to forget that and give another proven sub-par coach a chance to turn things around. There's no reason to think Haslett (or any other coach in similar circumstances) won't turn out to be the next Belichick. You just don't know until they are in that position. I just don't think the Bills can afford the gamble right now. EDIT: I swear none of those other responses were there when I started this! Pretty much made my post redundant.
  9. Devine's got some talent, but never even lived up to his hype in WV. He was supposed to tear up the Big East, but he ended up basically being a solid back with the occasional "highlight" play. He may end up filling a Sproles type role (depth RB with some ST skills), but I don't think he will be as talented as Sproles. 6th rounder for a team in need sounds about right.
  10. Unfortunately, this has gone down hill FAST. Nothing against the threads, Astro, but everyone is just basically drafting position with no idea of the player. Kind of takes the fun out of it.
  11. Haven't you heard? The people around here watched one game, a game where McCoy was injured and didn't play, and have decided they know everything there is to know about these guys. There's really no point even discussing the matter anymore. If you want to bring up a player, try one that didn't play in a big bowl game. That way there won't be as many experts on them. In fact, if you go about it the right way, you could even take a no name (and not much talent) player and slowly convince everyone they are the next rookie of the year. This tends to work best with linemen, but really it can be done with anyone. Just take your time with it; occasionally insert his name into a post here and there. Big benefit if you can find an ESPN writeup about how his whole family died and he raised himself and 12 other orphans from the time he was 6 months old. Good luck!
  12. For someone like me that doesn't know much about the difference in brands, what are some recommendations of quality amps?
  13. D'Anthony Smith still being around in the 4th would be a steal. He pretty much eclipses the rest of the choices.
  14. No, I meant Stafford. Anyone that spent any amount of time watching him in college knows what kind of QB he was. Had all the arm strength in the world, but made horrible decisions with the ball. If it wasn't for Massaquoi, who was basically to Stafford what Randy Moss was to Culpepper, Stafford's stats (mainly TD to INT ratio) wouldn't have held up to NFL standards. And while he was only a rookie and has plenty of time to get his game together, his faults in college were clearly evident in his play this year. In most years, Stafford would have been a 15-25 pick. In one of the weakest QB drafts in recent memory, he went 1. That's the way the draft works, especially as combine superstars seem to become more and more desirable.
  15. VERY good decision on his part. That guy has some of the best physical tools I can remember seeing since the mid 80's QB's. Unfortunately, he doesn't have much feel for the game. If he can get his game together, he's going to be one hell of a QB. If he has a good year, I'll be at the front of the line clamoring for him. He's made (physically) to be a successful Buffalo QB.
  16. Stafford shouldn't have been a Top 10 pick either, but teams go crazy as the draft approaches. The top QB in the class becomes a top 5 pick almost every year. There are exceptions, but I think this year's class has more than enough name recognition to make sure one or two are picked that high.
  17. I agree, that's why I said "enjoy the love while you can". Enjoying the winning is a completely different thing.
  18. The problem is, most people weren't expecting St Louis to take him anyway. While many things will change between now and the draft, common prediction is they are looking QB. So while he may not go number 1, I don't think it has anything to do with money or the domino effect. If a team like Detroit (desperate for some D-line help and not looking for a QB) were picking first, they would take him in a second. Nobody is going to care about money and how it impacts the rest of the league (especially in an uncapped year) when they can get a talent like Suh.
  19. Enjoy the love while you can. Win another one anytime soon and the Tide join the ranks of most hated teams in football!
  20. The guy with the highest completion percentage in the history of college football is MASSIVELY overrated? My god, some of you people kill me. I hate this time of year when everyone becomes an expert because they saw a game, heard a stat, or study up on the mock drafts.
  21. You're kind of the nickelback of posters.
  22. Went with most talented available and picked Selvie even though McClain was the first pick. Gilyard would be a close second. BTW, no Pike?
  23. This one is actually kind of fun. Original at least.
  24. Isn't 10+ million what the Bills were said to be offering? It was okay then, wasn't it?
  25. Unless you have a stop or a yield, you should have the right of way. It's hard to say only reading about it, but I would think there SHOULD be a stop or yield sign there. Especially since I would assume that guy has a green arrow. Normally when I see a green arrow I think "right of way". In the end, I think you're both right. Considering the other guy has to wait for a light and will be trying to get through the light as quickly as possible along with the traffic in front/behind him, it would be the smart (safe) move to yield to that traffic, no matter who the actual right of way belongs to.
