Im from Rochester. I guess I just dont see how one skyscraper will do much for a community. I was all for putting a casino in Rochester, but I dont think thats going to happen.

This is after insomniac and a few other albums where they turned into a pop/rock band. People wanted them to go back to their punk roots, instead of sticking to their poppy sound now. READ AND LEARN! Again you keep bringing up modern day things such as GC and SP ... you obviously didnt know of Greenday (or sweet children) in the 80's so you cant talk. Greenday has turned from their punk roots. Their no longer punk. But they were. And they were really good at the punk genre. GO RESEARCH IT INSTEAD OF SOUNDING STUPID!

Go read about the band "Sweet Children" ... then go read about kerplunk and 1,000 hours ... then go listen to the music ... then go bring up the mention of them in underground punk sections. Just as a 'gun' has changed from a simple rifle to a bazooka, so has music. The term "punk rock" 30 or so years ago is different than what it is now. Im sorry to break this to you guys. I would love to go to some scene concerts with you though ... you would really learn something about the genre.

Im starting to get the feeling that the people on this board only listen to the top 40 and not underground or scene music. Greenday was an extremely popular underground/punk/scene band for years before they got popular and changed to pop/rock ... they still have legendary status for their early work even though people have said they "sold out." Their popular song "time of your life" is actually them saying a "goodbye" or more like a "f you" to the underground scene they are leaving behind. Its amazing what people dont know about punk emo and scene music on this board.

Not to take sides or anything, because Greenday really is a legend for the genre but The Killers first album was extremely successful. Probably much more than American Idiot.

... I actually just watched the McGahee flip play again and #26 for the Patriots is at around midfield when McGahee is just reaching OUR 45 yard line. So at this point #26 has a 5 yard lead on McGahee. Then McGahee catches up to him and #26 has the perfect angle and brings him down with #22 for the Patriots not too far behind (about 7 yards). So as I said. Other than Barry Sanders, I dont know if any RB would have scored on that play.

Come on. I will rip on McGahee when he does dumb stuff, but him being dragged down on that flip pass play was not his fault. I dont think any RB in the league would have scored on that play. I dont know about the Dunn TD, but I did see the Taylor TD and it was a good play but the DB's came flying up the line of scrimmage and as soon as he got 10 yards past the line of scrimmage their was pretty much no on else to get him other than 1 player who almost got him at the end. McGahee's play on the other hand, the DB's stayed back (because they thought it was a pass) so he would have to outrun the DL, and the LB's (which he did) and then spring completely past 2 DB's and 2 Safeties. Thats unreasonable. The fact that he got so far was pretty interesting to me ... as I said, I dont think any RB would have scored on that.

I wonder if Simon would get more upset if he knew that my post count is actually more around 3,100 and I have been a member since '03 ... hmm
