  1. CONTEXT. Im going to take a stab in the dark and say they were speaking of his college days and in that context many other people in the country would agree that he may "possibly" be the best college running back ever.
  2. How do you know this? We need help on defense so lets boot Clements so we have 2 million extra to sign one extra below average player.
  3. Do you have a link or video clip of them labeling him the "best running back ever" ?
  4. Stephen Hawking is an amazing man with some theories that blow my mind. I wouldnt mind reading more books of his ...
  5. My fault. I should have put a P.S. in the original thread. So here it is: P.S. This thread *currently* has nothing to do with me. Simply put, I just talked to a woman I use to like a while back and it got me thinking. So I decided to post a thread and see what other people's pasts have been like. I should have known not to post this.
  6. And I think what other people are saying is that it would be WRONG for ESPN to NOT have had such dominant coverage on Reggie Bush. He was one of the best/most dynamic/most fun college RB's in the history of college football. They did what they were suppose to. What I dont get is how people are in love with Maroney and bash Bush. Dont get me wrong ... Maroney has the looks of a star RB in the league very soon, but lets just look at this real quick. People love to mention Maroney's 8.3 YPC against Cincinnati or his 5.1 YPC against Buffalo ... Both teams in the BOTTOM 15 of rushing defenses in the NFL. What people dont like to mention is his 2.1, 1.5, and 3.6 YPC games. He had one long run of 41 yards. Take that away and he is averaging around 3.7 YPC for the year. Receiving stats ... Bush is on pace for 96 receptions for about 700 yards. Maroney is on pace for about 21 receptions for about 250 yards. Then im sure someone will bring up the fact that Maroney has had a couple good kick returns this year and looks to be a great return specialist ... these people probably didnt realize that Bush has been returning punts, averaging nearly 11 yards a punt return, and a TD. Of players who have 15 or more return attempts this season he is ranked 5th in the NFL.
  7. 100% right. ESPN is loving Irvin. Why do you think they actually let him respond to Tiki's comments? He starts controversy > more people watch > people post on message boards > It gets Link'ed to ESPN.com > and the chain goes on.
  8. Anyone here have a close friend that just so happens to be a female, that you secretly like more than that?
  9. Boyshorts are extremely cute. Im a 'cute' kinda guy.
  10. He is on pace to have a 96 receptions for about 700 yards this year as a rookie ... he is also a BACKUP running back. Their are teams who draft WR's in the 1st round to HOPE they get about 60 receptions. You can keep whatever bias you have for not liking Bush, but he is an EXTREMELY valuable player. P.S. Yards Pery Carry increases with the more attempts you get at rushing the ball. YPC for some players are only high because they get a few long runs, but VERY FEW running backs consistantly get more than 3.3 YPC consistantly. Larry Johnson for one ... his YPC is 3.7 ... but thats because has 4 runs of 20+ yards. His CONSISTANT YPC is really about 3.3.
  11. You were smokin a little too much last night if you dont think that at least 4 of the calls were insane ... especially the "incomplete" call. It couldnt have been anymore clear.
  12. And I just disagree. You say he falls on his face when he faces the Patriots in the playoffs. Did you realize that the Patriots-Colts playoff games 2 years ago, was the leading reason why the NFL started to re-inforce the 5 yard chuck rule, because Ty Law and Co. were raping receivers all the way down the field and thus were able to get those INT's? P.S. Brady didnt navigate any playoffs. Brady and his TEAM including Charlie Weiss and Romeo Crenell, navigated the playoffs. Manning has an offense and himself (he calls the plays aka he is the 0-coordinator) .... he has no defense to help him. Put Manning on those Pats SB teams and I think he wins the same SB's
  13. I noticed that on the standings but couldnt figure it out ...
  14. Agreed. I also think Dan Marino was a better QB than Tom Brady is. I also think Elway was a better QB than Brady is.
  15. It cost them a game against miami too ...
  16. 1. Look at Mannings "supporting cast" pre-Manning and post-Manning. Manning makes players better. Manning does have a 3 year start ... yet that doesnt matter considering that Manning 5 years into his career was already in the top 50, which Brady isnt. Go figure. As I said. We just disagree. Thats OK though. Whats the point in posting that man? Come on.
  17. I dont think its dark ... its just a horrible story. When I think "dark", I think Rob Zombie, and Marilyn Manson.
  18. He got the blame for everything the team was doing wrong?
  19. I missed the rest of the 3rd quarter with my ranting to someone on the phone ... what happened to Brad Johnson?
