  1. I know I saw a movie that was just like that ... I cant remember the name though.
  2. I actually agree with your post completely. I received mostly A's - B's in English and currently have somewhere above a 92 in my current English (open seminar) class in college ... none of my teachers or profesors (that I can remember) ever had us read Don Quixote or mention it. On the other hand, whether the book Don Quixote would have really raised my knowledge level much higher is an entirely different question.
  3. Any Given Sunday ... just because those teams have poor records does not mean they were unworthy opponents. Look at Arizona and how they played Chicago. Agreed.
  4. If he called out the coach and the rest of the team was not thinking it, that would be one thing. That would affect unity. Yet I would dare to say that most of the Giants team (and fan-base if you look at their forums) was thinking the same thing. RUN THE DARN BALL! He just voiced what other people thought. He did not affect the Giants unity at all. Heck, after Shockey critisized the coach they won 5 straight games. Go figure.
  5. I would say about 45 minutes ... Rochester. Edit: I thought you said "waterloo" ... haha ... Watertown is a bit further. Maybe another day.
  6. If costs = the best RB the past 3 years then yeah ... I guess so.
  7. Personally I DO think players should take things up with the coaches behind closes doors. No arguement from me there. BUT that does not mean that WHAT (the content) Tiki said was wrong. In fact I believe it was right. When you throw 3-4 TIMES more than you run, you are more than likely going to lose. I think he was averaging near 3 yds/carry (like 2.8 or so???) ... running backs really only average about 3 yds/carry ... its those longer runs once every 15 carries or so that make their average go up. By only running 10 times, you dont give him that chance to get that long carry to up the average. For example: If you take away Ladanian Tomlinsons 24 yard run from last week, his average drops OVER a yard per carry. The week before it drops .7 yds/carry. The week before that it would have dropped nearly 2 yds/carry.
  8. I actually WOULD be there, but the family is actually having thanksgiving dinner on Sunday this year (parts of the fam were sick today) ... If its another weekend, then im all for it.
  9. Are you serious? Tiki had 10 carries and they threw it over 40+ times. That is UNACCEPTABLE on the coaches part. Runningbacks need atleast 20 carries a game. Especially RB's like Tiki who get better throughout the game.
  10. You always have to look at HOW a team loses though. Do they lost by 10-15 points (which is what Dallas is beating their opponents by lately) or did they lose by a fluke blocked field goal and a fantom 15 yard face mask that setup a makeable field goal instead of a field goal 10 yards further out? Mhm.
  11. ooh wow ... thats quite an invitation.
  12. Honestly your not missing too much. 10-3 KC ... and Denver has had a penalty on pretty much every play.
  13. If you were talking early November then I would agree with you ... but this is late November/near December. Also you picked 1 situation out of the past 5 years ... NE 2004: 14-2 NE 2003: 14-2 TB 2002: 7-2, last 9 games NE 2001: 8-1, last 9 games BAL 2000: 7-2, last 9 games STL 1999: 7-2, last 9 games Those teams were all pretty hot were they not? Pitt was an exception.
  14. The Bears are really starting to slow down lately. In the past 3 weeks they are only averaging about 20 points a game, and their defense is giving up on average 17 points a game. That is quite a turnaround from the first half of the season. And the Cowboys beat the Panthers by 3 TD's just a few weeks ago.
  15. Not that this has anything to do with the NFL Network, but the Chiefs field looks horrible. The NFL should really force teams that have really bad fields to install fieldturf.
  16. If CBS, Fox, NBC, and ESPN can all make it look decent, I would think the NFL network could have designed a decent scoreboard in the past 2 years. Thats all I was saying.
  17. I dont think OJ ever called it his confession. I believe the publisher did that.
  18. What does everyone think? The only thing I really think is downright ugly is the banner they have on top of the screen. Not only is the color just ugly but its also not pressed towards the top of the screen (its about a half inch from the top) so when someone kicks a field goal it cuts off part of the uprights and the ball.
  19. Why do people bring up the Sabres? The Sabres to sell out an entire season needs to sell what? About 750,000 tickets right? The Bills to sell out EIGHT games need to sell over 1,100,000 + .... thats the huge difference. Also isnt the average Sabres ticket about $10 less? Combine that with church, jobs (Sabres games usually at night, not in the middle of the day) ... etc and you have your reason (imo)
  20. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Were actually waiting until Sunday (parts of the family are sick), but were going to have a nice dinner and watch some football anyway!
