Yes he definately is. But he has reffereed 2 out of the past 3 Super Bowls I believe? He also has done 15 playoff games. I think there trying to give him a break, and let others have a chance. But yeah I agree ... Ed is the best.

Oh come on. Dont hate on TO ... just ban him from press-conferences and interviews and you have probably the best WR in the league.

What is the secret? Is Bates all related to you in some way? The love for him around here is sickening. If he is such a great coordinator, then why isnt the other teams offering him tons of money to come to their team? Why didnt the packers retain him? (such as the Bills did with Jerry Gray when Mularkey came) My goodness ... you would think that he was Vince Tobin with the 1985 Bears or something ... All hail Bates .... and if you dont ... you are thrown into the firey furnace.

People wanna kick Jerry Gray (someone who had 2 seasons, coaching the #2 ranked defense) right off the team ... yet someone who has had a struggling QB --- one year with Bledsoe, and one with Losman ... people are ready to exault him as the best QB's coach in the NFL. Just doesnt make sense to me.

Well. It looks like either: 1) No one really has a reason for liking this guy -or- 2) They dont want to give there reasons for liking the guy

I guess I just dont understand why everyone is so high on this guy. It seems as if people think he is the best defensive coordinator ever. Im almost scared that if he does get hired and doesnt give us a top 5 defense, that the fans will be asking for his head ... on year after they went nuts to get him.

I find it interesting that you put Brett Favre and Matt Hasselback into the same category ... i dont even put them on the same level of play. Brett Favre is a guaranteed, first round, unanimous hall of famer. Matt Hasselback???

I asked this question earlier ... someone reported on here a few weeks ago that Gray had quit the time or something. I thought it was odd that BuffaloBills.com just had the "updated coaching roster" and he was still on there ... even after the coaching cuts/resignings.
