  1. This is post # 2,844,912 on this topic. Come on boys. I bet we can reach 3,000,000 by the end of the day if we really try.
  2. Thank-you I appreciate that. Anything else you saw? Im thankful that SOMEONE got the real question.
  3. Not really but ill answer "sure" just to put it to rest.
  4. Once again. You all are missing my point. I never said we had a BAD outing before the KR ... i must not be explaining it right, so Ill just stop here.
  5. Yeah. I think you were one of the only ones who understood that last comment at the end of that post.
  6. Opinion means having room to be wrong. Fact implies that it is truth. Scan the above posts. Almost all of them are posted as fact.
  7. I love when people say that something that can not be proven as fact ... such that Jim Brown would be a superstar even in these days.
  8. Holy crap . was that a one handed catch by Moulds? for some reason I dont remember that play
  9. ...did you do the same for them? HOU: 1-16, 16.0 avg, long 16 TB: 3-105, 35.0 avg, long 43 ATL: 2-55, 27.5 avg, long 28 NO: 4-159, 39.8 avg, long 82 MIA: 2-80, 40.0 avg, long 53 NYJ: 3-104, 34.7 avg, long 43 OAK: 3-98, 32.7 avg, long 57 NE: 2-22, 11.0 avg, long 22 KC: 1-14, 14.0 avg, long 14 SD: 1-42, 42.0 avg, long 42 CAR: DNP MIA: 3-79, 26.3 avg, long 37 NE: 5-126, 25.2 avg, long 33 DEN: 5-120, 24.0 avg, long 28 CIN: 5-220, 44.0 avg, long 99t NYJ: 6-151, 25.2 avg, long 39 Subtract the 82 yards of heartbreak in the Alamodome, and he didn't even hit his career average vs. the Saints. Raiders game is even worse: take away the 57-yarder, and the other two only average 20.5 yards. One game, on a chewed-up grass field, against a team that gave up an average of 21.9/return and didn't allow a runback longer than 46 yards in all of 2005, doesn't give me enough data to conclude... well, much of ANYTHING, really. Fishies' kickoff D isn't as good as the Pats'. Let's see what happens this week. 773636[/snapback] You are totally missing my point. My question was for anyone who is gooding at reading game tape to tell me if we were doing anything different or wrong the first 3 returns , before the long return ...
  10. You are something else. How can someone be a fan of a player be a hater also? I liked Barry sanders. All I pointed out was that he had 10 yards lost for every 100 yards gained. Thats all I was saying. Now if you look at most of Barry's long runs they were NOT draws. Most of the long runs were him taking the handoff and going backwards for 20 yards then forwards for 80.
  11. They are actually playing another bad team this week. But again i doubt he will get even 2 ...
  12. Dont get me wrong. Im not saying he is bad. But am I the only one who thinks that defenses are much bigger, faster, and more complex now? So I certainly dont think stats from the 50's, or 60's, or maybe even early 70's can compare to now. Players use performance enhancing drugs, whether you choose to believe or not. Their weight rooms are amazing. The trainers know what there doing and players are huge now compared to then, and not only are they huge, but those huge players are FAST. Thats my point. Of course all of the old timers will hate this post because they loved their beloved 50's and 60's players.
  13. Actually to further my point, Barry Sanders holds the records for the most negative yards by a RB ... EVER ... over 1,100 negative yards. Which ammounts up to over 105 yards per season in negative yards. Which would have brought his average up to over 6 yards per carry. **All this information was from a video. And give him the line Emmit had???? Barry hardly used his blockers. It seemed as if he just made his own plays.
  14. I was not alive to see Jim Brown play so Im not really sure what the fuss is about him. His numbers were good but not over-the-top amazing. I mean they remind me of Shaun Alexanders numbers. Every year just consistent 1300+ yards and 10+ TD's ....
  15. Good point. Now lets go back and look at the original post where I mentioned BEFORE the 44 yard return.
  16. Merriman was also playing the worst team in the NFL and getting (I believe all) of his sacks against Gallery (who many believe to be a bust).
  17. He was amazing. Yet what some people dont remember is that for every long run he had, he also had a negative run or two. Heck. He was probably stuffed on 4th and 1 once or twice.
  18. Maybe you could go back to my original post and pick out a part that I was complaining? you cant because i wasnt ... i simply asked for people who were good at analyzing to tell me if there was any reason why McGee wasnt averaging his usual 30 yards per return instead it was around 21-22. It was a question. Not a complaint. Last year he seemed to average between 27-35 YPR a game ... so 21-22 seemed a little low. that is all .
  19. Is the drug you are on illegal in the United States? or do you live outside the boundaries? That is one of the most ridiculous things I have seen on this board in a LONG time. He is not a #1, 2, or 3 CB? Wow. Clements: 5 years, 20 INT, 4 TD's, 45 pass deflections Champ Bailey: 7 years, 29 INT, 3 TD's, 86 pass deflections Charles Woodson: 8 years, 17 INT, 2 TD, 66 pass deflections Sam Madison: 9 years, 31 INT, 2 TD, 69 pass deflections Ty Law: 11 years, 46 INT, 7 TD, 98 pass deflections Fred Smoot: 5 years, 18 INT, 0 TD, 39 pass deflections This is just a short list of a few CB's that 98% of the population believe are quality #1 CB's for there respective teams. Out of the 5 CB's mentioned, Clements averages more INT's per year than 3 of the 5 and is nearly tied with the other 2 (0.1 away). Out of the 5 CB's mentioned, Clements averages more TD's per year than all 5 of them. Out of the 5 CB's mentioned, Clements averages more pass deflections per year than 4 out of the 5. And those numbers listed above is EXACTLY why Clements will be getting a large contract and deservedly so. Fans of a team dont see how truly good a player is until that player leaves. We did the same with Pat Williams and Antoine Winfield. Winfield wasnt amazing, but he was solid ... and Pat Williams did a great job of stuffing the run.
  20. Starting with young players does not mean rebuilding. You are right. But starting with young players, usually means losing. Losing=Rebuilding in my head
  21. Disclaimer: My apologies if this was already posted. just give me the link and i will cower in the corner I was just wondering if anyone who has a better view at reading the special teams play could give me any indication as to why it wasnt so hot. Before the nice 44 yard return, we were only averaging 21 or so yards a return.
