  1. Last year my team was "The Evil Empire". You can guess Im a Yankees fan. The prior two seasons it was the "Jaeger Bombs". A shot of choice at the local bar I tend to frequent.
  2. I dont follow the cfl but living in wny you get some games on here and there. It seems to me Toronto is always playing Edmonton. How many teams are there in that league and when does it start? I know it ends around Thanksgiving and thats pretty cool to watch the championship in the snow and wind.
  3. I cant stand him. I actually wish he never put on a Bills jersey. Whats worse is his fans thought he could do no wrong- it was always someone elses fault when something went wrong or they didnt win. It had nothing to do with the fact that Flutie SUCKED.
  4. I thought the boxer Carl Williams was the truth?
  5. I as just talking with a buddy of mine in my office and asked him how many players he could name for Houston. I could only name the qb and the rb then I thought of the cb they picked up from Oakland. How many can you name?
  6. it amazes me how a player can sign a contract then say that they want to renegotiate becuase they exceeded expectations (T.O.). If a player has 5 touchdowns and the year before he had 10 did he not live up to expectations and give money back to the team? Ofcourse not. A contract is drawn up on the basis that the player will give 100% and catch as many passes or run for as many yards as possible. What good is a contract if players are constantly asking to re-negotiate. Maybe all future contacts should have tiers. But that could cause problems too. A player is one td away from the next level in his contract to make another 100 g and he doesnt get the ball thrown to him for example. I dont have any ideas and think this will continue in the nfl and it will hit home next summer when Willis is holding out and Drew Rosenidiot is saying that Willis exceeded expectations and deserves more money.
  7. you put your left foot in, you take your left foot out you put your left foot in and you shake it all about
  8. that might be the sickest thing Ive ever seen but here goes.... I didnt realize I drank that much but I got bombed last night.
  9. Im sure many of you watched the game last night. Bledsoe was his normal self- olding the ball, missing short throws to his running backs and getting sacked. But his "understudy" Drew Henson is just as bad. I remember there was talk on this board that the Bills should have gone after Henson. Glad they didnt. I think he will be a back up his entire career. But this is the Cowpokes problem and it couldnt happen to a better team and a better coach. Now Drew is the Tuna's headache.
  10. Good luck buddy. I know even minor sugery can be nerve racking.
  11. I was thinking the same thing. It really makes me wonder how a player can fall so far in his confidence level. Coming out of LSU he was awesome- going over the middle, running after the catch and now he is shell of his former self. How long do the coaches wait for him to bounce back to the player they drafted? Also Aiken has been on this team for a few years now yet we draft wideout the past two seasons. Whats his story?
  12. threads like this are a better start to the day than a balanced breakfast.
  13. Boller is in the perfect situation and needs to perform this year. He has a good D, a good in Lewis, a good te in Heap (if healthy) and some decent wideouts. They dafted Clayton and picked up Mason. If he stuggles this year he has no excuse. I think Buffalo's team is similar in many ways -except the te position. But to say that Boller is better than JP at this point is crazy. The jury is still out on both of em.
  14. I remember watching the draft last year when the Pats selected Watson and all I could picture was Brady dumping the ball to him for 7 or 8 yards when ever he wanted to. That scares me alot more than the receivers who line up wide.
  15. Thats how thin or desperate the Pats are at wideout. They cut then resigned Troy Brown (34 years old), David Givins was their top wr last season and only had 56 catches and lastly the signed Tim Dwight as a free agent. Not a real scary wide reciver group if you ask me.
  16. I was just married last summer and my reception was at the Buffalo Marriott. I was shocked at some of the cash we recived in the cards. We payed approx 55 a plate which included the booze and some couples gave only 50 dollars. That didnt even cover one of them. I look at it this way. If you are taking your wife or girlfriend out for a nice evening of dinner, drinks and maybe dancing it will cost you atleast $150. I would never go less than $100 (and Ive been to some cheap weddings before). Hope this helps.
  17. Quite frankly- thats the funniest comment Ive heard all day.
  18. Congratulations. Willis Duey? J.P Duey? Nate Duey? Or my personal favorite...Roscoe Duey!
  19. Not sure how many on this board are involved in fantasy football leagues. I have been in the same one (12 teams) for the past 4 or 5 years. Just wondering if anyone had any good cheat sheets or player rankings that they new about on the web. Cant see buying a book at the store for 6 or 7 bucks if its out there somewhere on a website. Thanks in advance.
  20. Im pulling for him to make the squad. He is undersized and doesnt have great speed but his reputation throughout his career is he doesnt drop any balls. Isnt that what a professional receiver is supposed to do? Hopefully the coaches can find a spot for him.
  21. Just back from Baltimore- thanks again to those of you who suggested places to go and things to see. Great time and a beautiful inner harbor. Last week there was talk about Simon and how the Eagles might be looking to trade the DE. Has that died down? I started t search topics from the past few days and it was takingtoo long so I figured a quick post would be the best way to find out.
