Why wasn't JP in on the last play?
Blue Chipper replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
even the last play was only a 10 yard pass. we wont even throw deep as time is expiring. -
I would say 75% of the posters and readers today feel its time to put JP back in. But who actually believes it will happen? The Bills are so screwed up over there from the gm on down to mm. They never admit mistakes and will stick with their mistake just to save face. Over the next few weeks before the KC game we will here how the team gave 110% and had NE on the ropes in their old stadium. We will here how Holcomb didnt lose the game for us and that it was a team loss. We will here that the division is there for the taking and we just need to put a two or three game winning streak together and Holcomb gives us the best chance to do that. All lies! Its all bs that will coming out of One Bills Drive. How refreshing would it be to hear them be honest and say " Holcomb did the best he could but we brought him here to help JP become a good qb. The rest of this season its JP's on the job training. We will have our ups and downs but at the end we will be a better team with him playing each week". That would be nice to hear but we wont. The week leading up to KC we will hear that MM has not decided on his qb- it will be this big secret. Then Holcomb will trot out on the field and show us why he has been a backup for the past 10 years.

Who didnt learn in pee wee football that you have to throw for 7 yards when its 4th and 7?
-
Holcomb is a back up. He's been a backup his entire career. He was brought here to be a backup. If something happens to your starter then he is there to keep the ship afloat for a game or two. He is not a top notch qb - he is average at best. Last night the announcers (when they were not blowing Teddy B) talked about how Holcomb was this calming presence in the huddle. How he has all this experience and doesnt lose a game for you. That might be true but he certainly doesnt win a game for you either. JP needs to be in there against the Chiefs. We might lose 40-0 but we need to play him the last 8 games. If he goes 0-8 so be it. We will know wether or not he is improving each week by seeing it on the field. Who the hell knows if he is learning anything watching Holcomb beat the phins and lowly jets and getting ripped by Oakland then choking last night.

Why is your franchise receiver out in the flat
Blue Chipper replied to smokinandjokin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is no way in hell you throw the ball in the flat on 4th down! Throw it downfield. The sad thing two plays earlier Moulds pushed off when he hade his cut and negated a 1st down catch. -
My vote goes to Halloween- the scariest of all the Halloween movies and 2nd place is Alien.

Clements likely to be franchised
Blue Chipper replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
thats fine with me- it will give us another year to work out a contract and if someone offers him a deal I think we get a 1st rd pick right or is it two first rd picks, I forget. -
The Juice does have some acting experience so Im sure he would want to play himself if Hollywood came knocking.

Buffalo Getting Old, Besides Being Bad.
Blue Chipper replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
atleast three of those players wont be on the Bills roster next season. See we are getting younger already. -
Where did The Juice live when he played here? Does anyone know?

Every game Ive watched of the Pats this season they have passed and passed and passed the ball. Then they will sprinkle in the run here and there. I know this because #1 I have the nfl package from DTV and #2 I have Dillon on my fantasy team and i curse at the tv when they dont give him the ball. Not to mention he has been banged up the past few weeks and is listed as questionable for this week too. So that leaves Patrick Pass to carry the load and the Patriots will not rely on him to win the game. They will put their faith and their game plan on the right arm of Brady and he will throw to all his wideouts and tight end. They average 383 yards of total offense and Brady is near 300 per game. I have a feeling Buffalo will try to do what they did to Vick and that blitz all the time. Brady behind his solid o-line (11 sacks allowed) will throw on the Bills and I also think he will go deep on more than one occasion. Hopefully the Bills have something in mind on defense to stop Brady from picking them apart. Although everyone thinks the Pats will try to expoilt Buffalo's weak run defense I think it will just the opposite. The Pats are far from the team that dominated opponents in years past and are closer to the rest of the afc east teams then ever before. If the Bills play like they did in Oakland they will get crushed on National tv but if they can come up with a way to slow down Brady and keep the crowd out of it I really think we have a chance. If I was MM I would run Willis until he falls down and cant take another handoff then I would bring in Shaud and run him. If you go three and out- so what. Play d then get the ball back and run again. Sometimes MM is too cute on O. For once lets just pound the ball for 60 minutes and see what happens.

I met Jim Kelly last night. He was having a Hunter's Hope fundraiser at a Christian Bookstore on Sheridan Dr. Both he and Jill were there and if you purchase a Hunter's Hope Doll for $20 he would sign one item. So I had him autograph a football. The whole time there was a video playing of Hunter. Very sad. Even though Hunter has passed Jim and his wife are still out there spending their night raising money.

He will be back on campus next year along with his starting rb and both starting wideouts.
-
I think the Pats are preparing for either qb. When you have two weeks you can do that.

we had 48 at half time so to only kick a field goal over the next 30 minutes of playing time when we probably could have put up another 4 or 5 scores- thats the right thing to do. We seriously could have scored over 70 that day.
-
Agreed. The Stellers are a team that shoves it down your throaton both sides of the ball. They know it, their fans know it and their opponents know it. The Bills are nothing like the Steelers- we claim to be a smash mouth team and sometimes we are during a game but it never lasts.

MLB Free Agents available in Offseason?

I could not disagree more with your post. How many years in a row has he led the team in tackles? London is not the problem with this D. -
What will the Bills Final record be this season???
Blue Chipper replied to firstngoal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I say 5-7 going into the 2nd NE game. Pats will be 7-5 at that point. It will be labled a must game for the Bills. The lay an egg and go on to lose their last three and fiish 5-11. We will pick somewhere between #8-11 and take the best available player. Probably a cb to try and replace Nate or a linebacker just incase TKO des not come back full strength. Once again ignoring our O-Line needs. you asked for a prediction right? thats a detailed prediction. -
I agree with you there. Players laugh and hug and joke after the game. Sometimes you forget as a fan that this is there job. A highly paid job at that. But I still believe it is in poor taste to score with 18 seconds left when the game is in hand.
-
If you've played sports then you should know this. Its called sportmanship. When a team is beat and the game is over you dont add insult to injury and try to run it up. It has nothing to do with pity. Ive played sports my entire life and actually coached middle school kids in basketball. It doesnt matter the sport- you dont try to embarrass the other team.
-
is it just me or is anyone else surprised the raiders didnt take a knee and end the game. Instead they continue to run the ball and score a meaningless td with 18 seconds left to go up 21? What gives? Where the raiders trying to prove something or does the raider coach dislike mm? Thought it was strange- most teams will just call off the dogs with so little time left.

New England 77, Buffalo 3

If we Flutie gets into the game and throws or runs for a touchdown against us I may vomit. -
Didnt your parents teach you to "say no to drugs"?
