Bills still not out of the running...

I heard if the Jets beat the Bills the last game it could drop the jets 5 or 6 spots in the draft. -
My money is Denver runs up 250 rushing yds

On main and transit - Eastern Hills Mall in williamsville. Should be a good time. -
How will the Bills embarrass themselves on national tv. MM will call some double reverse or half back option throw back to Holcomb. He has too becuase that who he is. Its disappointing because you cant wait until the schedule comes out. You look for two things: 1) Does Miami play here in nov or dec 2) Any primetine games Well Miami was early in the year at home and when our primetime game comes up our team is in "chaos" to quote or rb. Lets just hope we keep the bone head plays in the bag and MM doesnt out think himself and have evryone watching asking " what is this guy doing"?

Anyone ever been to Dave and Busters Sports Bar? They opened one up in williamsville ny and a bunch of us are heading down there for the sabres game and then the Bills game. I guess they have a bunch of plasma tvs. Just curious if anyone has been to one before. -
Weather for tomorrow's game
Blue Chipper replied to HtownBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is bad out now. cold and snowing/blowing. At 8:30 tomorrow night it wont be much better. Its too bad this game didnt have playof implications becuase that would be awesome- instead its to see if we get our 5th win. -
team B. I would not want any part of LT even against the colts good D. Plus Collins is a drunk.

I was flipping through the Bills Media Guide today. Did you know that our record for the 90's was 103-57 including 8 seasons of atleast 10 wins. Then we hot the year 2000 and since then our record is 38-55. 8-8, 3-13, 8-8, 6-10, 9-7 and 4-9 so far this year. Not one 10 win season this decade. How are you so bad for so long? Sure we were 9-7 last season and with a brake or two we could have made the Playoffs. Actually if we had shown up against Pitt we would have made the playoffs but so what. I look at this team today and we still have holes and not just a couple. We have a rookie qb who the verdict is still out on and is now injured. We have a rb who looks looks like he can be a great bback but until the line is fixed we wont know for sure. And thats if he doesnt hold out or demand a trade next off season. We have our best player on D hurt most of the season and who knows if he will return to his former self in TKO. Our 2nd best player is probably Nate (sorry London) and he will be shopping his services to the highest bidder. So where does that leave us going into 06? Think about it. We are no better off than we were 5 years ago. TD has done nothing to return us to our glory years or even to a contender status. NE has been banged up all season and yet they still beat us twice this year. We are a long way away from being a force in this league. So now what. Fire TD? Fire MM? Its sad because this team is going nowhere and there is not even a light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully in the next decade when my son is old enough to follow the Bills he will have something to cheer about.

Terrell Owens- Lets make a splash

Its funny I was watching this show on espn2 last night about TO. It talked about his days in SF and then in Philly. He is a very gifted receiver. Maybe the best in the league but he is all about TO. Can you imagine if JP didnt look his way 90% of the time. He would go crazy and be a major disruption. He would never come to Buffalo anyway. He will go somewhere where he can have a chance to win a bowl now not in 10 years. -

Miller will play friday or sat during the home and home with Pitt. It was stated by Ruff a few days ago. -
per espn.com Rookie cornerback Darrent Williams, who has started nine games for the Denver Broncos and established himself as one of the top first-year defenders in the league, could miss the balance of the season with a groin injury sustained in Sunday's win over the Ravens.

Thats why you put him in charge of the team as gm/president. It was talked about for over an hour this morning on gr55. He has an excellent relationship with Ralph and Ralph probably trusts him more than anyother person he knows when it comes to football operations. Let Marv hire a new coach. He knows what he wants a head coach to have and will find the right man for the job. I dont know something about hearing Marv talk was calming. He chooses his words so carefully and always seems to know what he is talking about. Then you hear some of MM's comments and its its the complete opposite. All jibber jabber and nonsense. I for one would love to see Marv come back to Buffalo. Im not talking about bringing back the old gang from the glory days either. No Kelly wont be OC and no Thurman wont coach the running backs. Just Marv. Let him use his years and years of experience to put together something good in the frony office and use his knowledge to help us in the draft. He will draft players we need - character is a term he used in the past when it came to his players. Many guys on this team lack that.

And his rookie year some of the vets on the Bills had a pizza delivered to him at one of the practices.
-
I disagree. He is far better that than Dillon. Dillon has been hurt this year so you have to look at last season and he did very well. It may have been his best season as a pro with over 1600 yards and 12 td's. However Johnson is the next class. In 13 games this year (6 starts) he has 1251 yards rushing and 14 tds. He should be considered with LT as the best in the league. It will be interesting to see what the Chiefs do next season if Priest returns from injury.

Everyone knows Arizona is not close to Miami. Its closer to Jacksonville. -
we only one sports talk radio station in the city. Its them or nothing so they can do what they like. You cant change the station. I wish we had another staion to give the listener a choice.

Ive followed Larry Johnsons game very closley this year on DTV because he is on my fantasy team. Even before the Priest got hurt every touch he got he made the most of and threatned to do the distance. Now with him getting all the carries he is in my opinion the best back in the league. A combination of speed and power. Now KC has a good line but alot has to do with how he runs the ball. He is improving on his pass catching skills and they threw him screens on two or three occassions yesterday and he almost busted those for td's. Then you compare that to how we use Willis and I you have to laugh. Not eben close. Willis has scored one td I think in the past 6 weeks. LJ had three yesterday.

what I want to know is how does a rumor like this get started. Its frustrating becuase it makes Willis look bad. For all we know it could be true. Maybe Willis will hold out and demand a trade. That would not surprise me considering his agent and the comments about being the best in the league at his position. On the other hand maybe its false. Some reporter tring to get a story. Hopefully the Bills make changes and get the talent upfront so Willis can reach his full potential. Either senerio wouldnt surpise me. -
I know these guys are professional athletes and professional coaches but do you think they ever get to the point of looking at their draft position? Houston had that game won yesterday but let Tenn come back and get the w. They have one victory this year and SF has two. SF got blasted by Seatle at 4. Nobody will lose a game on purpose ofcourse but if you have that 1st pick in the draft you dont want to lose it either.
-
You're telling me that if there is a speedy 5'9 reciever sitting there in the 1st round when we pick you want TD to pass on him and draft some big offensive lineman?
-
with all the talk this week about Moulds and MM's bad play calling and TD possibly getting fired- the deadline for local tv camr and went on thursday. Did we sell out? And is the game on local tv?

Polian and Muckler....if they stayed in Buffalo
Blue Chipper replied to Razzman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have to agree with On the Rocks. Muckler has a great hockey mind but has a a way of screwing things up. This is his third season in Ottawa (not counting the strike) and he looks to have the best team in the nhl. Have to see what happens. Polian knows how to build a championship team through the draft, free agency and even via trade. He also knows how to keep the right players in place to win a championship. Plus his teams show class on the field. I try to catch some of the Colts game every week if the Bills are away. They are a fun team to watch and its hard not to like them. Peyton is a classy qb, Edge just runs the ball hard and Harrison is awesome. No sharpies or pom poms in the endzone. Just touchdowns and jogs back to the sideline. I hope they go undefeated and face the Pats in the playoffs and destro them in the dome. Polian has built the best team in the NFL.
