  1. And it was the Bills who paid RT Peters MORE than his market value when they saw potential in him and wanted to lock him up.

You're argument just proved my point. Peters will cry every time someone makes more than him. Yet he's done nothing to earn it. If he didn't wet his panties and hold out last year I'd have more respect for the guy. Instead he skipped the off-season workouts, skipped training camp, showed up fat and out of shape, and basically sucked all year until he broke a fingernail at the end of the season and sat out. And for a "elite" left tackle, Trent Edwards took more than his share of abuse by people Peters whiffed on. No thanks on Peters.

    PTR

That's definitely not what Dick Mauron said when JP showed up. I remember him saying JP was in fantastic shape, though probably not in game shape.

  2. Let go of Clements, draft McKelvin. Let go of MaGahee, draft Lynch. Let go of Bledsoe, draft Losman. No wonder this team perrenially stinks. I laugh at the people that can't comprehend why this doesn't work.....they just see new players come in and think to themselves...."Wow, shiny!!!"

AS Levy said- "When you start listening to the fans, you end up sitting with them." That wasn't meant as a compliment.

    Great post Adam.

  3. His problems concerning his character and attitude when he was in college were well known. That's one of the reasons he went undrafted, even though his raw talent was no secret. I guess you could say that's just hearsay or that people change, but to me his actions seem to show a pattern of behavior that directly affect the team.

Well known? If it was so well known how come i've never heard that before? He's grossly underpaid, you can't understand that?

He wasn't drafted because of his bad attitude and character? Are you pulling this straight out of your ass or what?

  4. Just f-cking pay him and let's focus on the players that actually need to be replaced!

Most of you act like it's coming out of your pocket and not Ralph's. Why do you think we signed T.O.? The time to win is NOW. Ralph is 90 years old and i'm sure wants to win before he passes. Dick Mauron has to win this year or he's toast...getting rid of Peters now makes zero sense. Those of you who say he's not motivated...how the hell would you know? I'll leave that up to the Bills' to determine, because they are the only people with inside knowledge on the subject.

I guess i'm in the minority in saying sign him.

  5. Nice try, but Peters has already said he won't hold out again this year.

And EVERYBODY is about the money. Don't kid yourself. If you could leave your company and get three times your current salary, you would do it in a second. You're lying to yourself if you think you wouldn't.

If you want to see what you're missing, look at the post above. Also google and find Ross Tucker's article ranking the difficulty of each line position. He mentions how almost everybody in the league is forced to shift their line left out of ideal position in order to support their LT, and how much added value the extremely few LTs who don't require that support bring to their team. Peters is one of those two or three guys.

He doesn't get beaten on speed rushes. His first step isn't just good, it is elite.

FOR THE HATERS, expect to have to deal with Peters in Buffalo for the next 10 - 15 years, making the Bills a much better team.

And when did he say this?
