Biggest bust of the 2007 Draft?
Steven in MD replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jarrett Lynch Thomas Russell Okoye Ginn Quinn I am defining bust as not Pro Bowl caliber play....they might stick around in the league...but none of them will be Pro Bowl caliber. -
Make sure you put a Dolphins helmet on me.

Detroit interested in London Fletcher

Congrats Wade Phillips!!!
Steven in MD replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I cannot tell if people are pissed because the Bills fired Wade, jealous that Dallas got him or think he just is a lucky guy. My take is that had we had Wade through the TD years, this team would have done a whole lot better! -
Remember Ralph was one of the first to SELL naming rights....Rich Stadium. He was Kraft before Kraft had any cheese

What QB would you want in 2007
Steven in MD replied to Steven in MD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We did talk about it...but we realized that all the good linemen are older (8-10 yrs in the league). All the names of DL, OL and LBs were guys already selected to the Pro Bowl. -

The real question is....if you were starting an expansion team and can take 22 players (11 offense, 11 defense) which QB would you take to start your franchise in 2007. This comes from a discussion at a party here in the DC area where a Deadskin fan was all happy about the future of the Deadskins QB Jason Campbell. I said Campbell is like Losman...solid at this point in their careers but you would not start a franchise with them. Let me give you some really interesting answers RB - Reggie Bush (I would take LT myself) WR - Chad Johnson (not a bad choice...probably some better, I would take Wayne). QB - Tom Brady (this is where the question comes from). I think that Peyton did more with less this year. -

I was wondering the same thing last night. Is Manning that elusive or is the OL of the Colts that good. The RT was a rookie who was filling in for the starter. But hey, the Bears OL is pretty good, and well Grossman looked awful. -
Peyton Manning Marsha Brady Drew Brees Big Ben Michael Vick Personally after the SB last night, I think I would take Peyton over any of them.

Johnson say coach ignored his condition Former New England Patriots linebacker Ted Johnson said coach Bill Belichick subjected him to hard hits in practice while he was recovering from a concussion — against the advice of the team's top trainer. My My...how can this be the case in Oz?

Do not confuse the amount the show withholds and the tax rate. The show withholds 50% and pays that to the government on your behalf. You then receive a 1099 at the end of the year showing the total amount paid and the amount withheld. Depending on your circumstances, you file a tax report and pay the taxes accordingly. Believe it or not the IRS does this to protect you against not having the cash to pay your tax bill. Why would that be the case? Let's just say you invest your winninings in a house...won 212K and you put that into a downpayment on your house...when the tax bill comes, you have no cash..just a house. So they IRS says...take 100K and give it to us to hold...if you are due a refund we will gladly pay it to you....without ANY interest...

Our Tampa 2 DTs getting to the QB

The real question is do you have a system that you find guys who can play it....or do you take the guys you have an build a system around their strengths? I think Greggos biggest weakness is he has a system and forces players to play it.....I like Wade Phillips who takes the players he has and develops a system for them! -

Ironically the most valuable trophy given out in sports is.....the Preakness Cup. So horse racing is the most revered sport. Hockey can never be popular in this country because they cannot find a TV deal to give it the exposure it needs. -
Fletcher Snubbed by Pro Bowl 3x This Year
Steven in MD replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is an average to slightly above average MLB. He is not in Pro Bowl territory. Actually, I think Schobel makes the Pro Bowl because of his sack numbers. Not sure he is in the top 5 DEs in the league. Numbers are half the game. Reputation is another 1/4 of the game, and team record is the final quarter of the game. Bart Scott is there because Baltimore is a good team. If the Bills were in the playoffs, I think Fletch would have gotten a sniff. -
Franchise Tag Clements Now! Screw honor....
Steven in MD replied to genomich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because the Bills have class...and Marv has class. If you like to screw honor..then you hire TD...want a classy organization...you pick the Bills under Marv and Ralph. I am not saying I am against the tag...but if we promised NC we would not use it...they we do not use it. -
