  1. The main reason is that it will take a year for the new GM to put together this team and dump the Donahoe mistakes. If MM can keep this team no worse than 5-11 next season he will stay, otherwise the new GM will find a new coach. Bottom line, it will be hard to find a good coach who would want to walk into coaching this team, so keep who we have.
  2. What does Houston do with their current RB? I doubt Houston will do to Dominic Davis what the Bills did to Travis Henry. They have too many other pressing needs to draft a RB.
  3. Correct, Houston will either take Leinhart, or trade down and get more picks. They do not need Bush and I cannot see them taking Ferguson 1st overall.
  4. Correct as a DC he is good...but has done nothing to show he can be a head coach!
  5. What has GW shown in his 3 years in Buffalo that makes you or anyone believe he can be a HC? If I am not mistaken, both Belichek and Shannahan had success PRIOR to their current success. GW has no HC success....NONE
  6. Houston will most likely hire Martz, and get his input if he thinks that Carr has the tools. If so, they wil trade down and get more pics. Otherwise, they will take Leinhart. GW will be a HC next season, and without the HOF coach in Gibbs with him, he will flounder.
  7. Notre Dame might not win this game, but Charlie Weis knows how to make adjustments to keep his team in the game. He will lead ND to many more bowls, and probably a national championship before his time is up.
  8. I would have taken him over GW or MM.
  9. The following playoff teams have 1st rd picks at QB Indy Cincy Pitt Jacksonville Chicago NY Giants 6 of the 12 teams. The other 6 have QBs that were either selected in a later round by their team (2 of 12) New England TB Or a free agent pick up (4 of 12) Washington Carolina Denver Seattle There is no conclusive evidence since the other first round QBs are home right now (Brees/Rivers, Carr, Losman, Pennington, etc.)
  10. Yesterday proved nothing. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut. We caught Cincy napping. If that game meant anyting to Cincy, they would have beat us.
  11. Play the 2nd string, if you win that is great, if you lose who cares. It is about winning a SB, nothing else. Remeber the Bills went to 4 straight SBs and lost them. but everyone talks about the Pats winning 3 of the last 4 SBs, and nobody cares that they did not make it in the other year. Undefeated seasons are rare, but it is important to win the SB first and foremost.
  12. This is like deja vu all over again. The anti-TD sentiment is hilarious since I said basically the same things 5 yrs ago when he was hired and started to let long time Bills players go. I heard the words "Need to clean up the cap", "Rebuilding the team", "Need players for the system", etc. After 5 years I think the majority of people here realize that TD pulled the wool over RW's eyes. He has set this organization back. I just hope his replacement is able to right this ship.
  13. LOL...the funny part is...I do not think the Boys have more talent than we do. I think it is coaching.
  14. I disagree...I do not think the Cowboys line is that great. I think DB is playing within himself, and has a coach who puts him in a scheme where he can be successful.
  15. Would love to see it, though I doubt UB can pay him enough. The only way he would come is if he had incentives in his contract for making it to the MAC Championship game. On a side note, should UB's basketball team continue its run, there might be more money in the bank to pay a HC for football.
  16. Can you say Zach Thomas?
  17. He is the lowest approval rating...Martz is inactive and Marucci is fired....
  18. He will blame someone else for his failure. He cannot be humbled!
  19. Look what happens when Moulds is in the game....Lee Evans get 3TDs. When he was out, none. Yesterday without Moulds, the receivers were not open. Moulds demands coverage, so it opens up the game for others.
  20. Regardles of the terms of the expansion process, given the NFL today, within 5 years you should be able to build a solid franchise between FA and the draft. The reason teams do poorly (or should do poorly) is when the need to take a year or 2 to clean up any cap issues, usually related to a bad signing or rookie who did not pan out (see MW). The reality is the difference between the best and the worst teams are not talent of the players, because most teams have the same basic talent level. The difference comes from quality of depth, coaching, execution and luck (meaning health of the team, i.e. injuries).
  21. You are correct...but I thought Houston got a free pass since they were an "expansion" team. Anyway you look at it, the Bills over the last 5 years are in the bottom 5 teams as far as wins and losses go.
  22. The only other GM who is worse? Matt Millen! And he got an extension too. Hmmm...RW lives in Detroit...Maybe there is a senility club out there!
  23. 2 ex-Bills make it happen!
  24. Fans showing up to games gives RW the impression that the fans are happy with the way this team plays. The lack of fans will give the message that things need to change.
