  1. I attended a small college out of Erie, midway point from Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Cleveland. My frat brothers and friends are die-hard Stiller fans. I made the mistake of attending the Monday night Stillers/Bills game at Three Rivers. The only Bills highlight coming off a Kurt Schultz interception return for a TD. I was wearing my Bills gear and felt like I was the new guy in jail - all eyes on the fresh meat. I even had old ladies harassing me at the concession stands. My friends still laugh about it today. They can't believe I was that stupid to attend a game in the Burgh wearing Bills gear and chearing for the wrong team.

  2. Bill, I've been impressed by TE's play so far this year. But the offense isn't just Edwards, it's the receivers, backs, and (especially) the OL. Based on the first 4 games I see little reason to expect that this offense is poised to be the next great explosive offense. Do I think that Edwards is capable of that kind of performance? Yes, but I don't think he's there yet, and more importantly I don't think the offense as a whole is built for it. Start any of the QBs on this roster against that Arizona team, with our D playing that poorly, and I don't think the results would be much different.

You are correct MRW - but those receivers and backs need to get the ball to make a difference.

  3. The problem is JP CAN'T learn this, because you cannot teach someone to process information faster than they are capable of. It would be like saying that someone with a below average IQ who has watched a rocket scientist design a rocket should be able to go off on his own and design his own rocket that is just as good. There are just some things that are not fixable. Learning how to make quick decisions and process information quicker is not something that is really teachable if the person doesn't have the skill already....

And 90% of the posters on this board will never grasp this concept.

  4. I don't get it fellow Bills fans. JP is a one trick pony, the long ball king. He'll hit one, maybe two a game then get sacked five times and throw to the other team. Yes the defense sucked, but JP couldn't keep our offense on the field. They got gassed pretty quickly. You can't blame him for losing the game, but you can understand why he's on the bench.

  5. From ZOW2 sad but true.

    - This game was a microcosm of JP's entire career. He's got his one trick up his sleeve (bomb) and no other game to speak of. He has no pocket presence, no clock in his head, terrible with ball security, has a penchant for taking huge sacks and generally makes the O-line look much worse than they are. This would be a 5-11 team with JP at the helm. I kinda' feel bad for him. Little did he know that Edwards' injury may have cost him hundreds of thousands of dollars. After this game, any team that may have given him a chance to be their starter next year just crossed that idea off their list. JP is headed for the same place that players like Harringotn and Carr are at. A career backup at best,

  6. JP did not give us a chance to win today. It was many plays, not one. No sustained drives of consequence, fumbles, sacks and INT's. Too many negative plays to win on a day when the D was struggling. We may not have won with a stronger showing from JP, but we may have had a chance.

DING DING DING - We have a winner!

  7. When is the NFL going to relieve this guy from his duties he sucks bad. I hope he doesn't do the super bowl this year.

I was at the Carolina/Atlanta game and had a great view of the call in question. Ed blew the call, plain and simple. Julius Peppers hit Falcons QB Matt Ryan as he threw the ball on his shoulder pad, not helmet-to-helmet. Bank of America Stadium only showed the reply once.
