I don't think you stop drinking New Years Eve...

PICTURES!!! THIS THREAD MEANS NOTHING WITHOUT PICTURES!

any thoughts on this? I'm scratching my head.
-
Why not? Home-town rooting doesn't change the fact that most qb's drafted in the first round do not become the NFL quality starters. If he is lucky he becomes a legit journeyman. Those are bad odds just to accelerate the development of a guy who history says will not be here in 4 years.
You let him watch untill he convinces you he is the best qb on the roster. The team comes first.
He is the best QB on the roster... and you point is?

In my opinion this is what Ralph Wilson was trying to say he will do.
FIRE DONAHOE (obviously)
FIRE MM (oh yes, he's replacable)
FIRE CLEMENTS (offensive coordinator)
RESIGN:
Eric Moulds (Ralph U know what to do. GET HIM BACK HERE AT ALL COSTS!!)
Jason Peters (Tight end to Right tackle. Very good move. He can block well and he's stronger and healther than Mike Williams)
Jonathan Smith (.......good player)
Josh Stamer (Nice)
Shaud Williams (average player, but good as a backup)
Mario Haggan (great for our special teams)
Sam Aiken (great for our special teams, too)
Mike Schneck (great long snapper)
Josh Reed ("Will likely do better with a chance of scenery")
Ryan Denney (Good backup for Kelsay. Good playmaker)
UNSURE:
Jabari Greer (.......)
CUT:
Nate Clements (Terrible. Someone start packing his bags)
Trey Teague (A no)
Ron Edwards (not strong enough)
Kevin Thomas (injured too often)
Justin Bannan (Who?)
Greg Jerman (Again, who?)
Lawrence Smith (Can't block for his life)
Mike Williams (injures, that says it all)
Finally hire a decent coach like Sherman, Haslett, or Martz.
I would bring Moulds back, but explain to him the kid is your QB and if you can't deal with it play elsewhere.
Shaud Williams is a nice blocking back, but by no means is he a second stringer. He seems to attract tackles.

We can throw any stat for our JP-bashers or our JP-apologists...
Let me bring one I just made up, but that I think would be very accurate...
If you could ask 100 Buffalo Bill fans what would they prefer to see in their lifetime from these:
a) Pick a 1st-rd QB, watch him though his struggling first two or three years, and then finally realize he has developed into a great QB which is always mentioned amongst the best in the business, with lots of yards, wins and TDs (ala Dan Marino), but NO championships...
b) A super bowl win with a journeyman QB (ala Trent Dilfer)
Which one would you think they would prefer?
Me too.
I'd like to see JP get the time to develop.

I'm listening to JP interview after the game on WGR 55 and it sounds like he was healthy enough to play. I'm paraphrasing it was something like "I tried to show the coaches I was ready to play. I went threw all the drills and felt fine but the coaches said were afraid he would get hit in a certain area and that was their decision but he was not happy with it." What a fuc&$#@ joke. As I thought he wasn't really hurt it was just MM's way of saying Holcomb would give me the best chance of a win, I hope he's gone.
We have wasted an entire year that SHOULD have been used to develop JP and threw a journeyman Quarterback into the fray. If this is true, MM needs to be shown the door. You don't draft a kid in the first round and lose a first rounder in the next years draft to let him carry a clipboard.
-
Poor Dick, that was extremely painful to watch. Hang it up and enjoy the golden years...

What a waste of another Sunday afternoon...
-
He had a great game. Bully for him if that translates into soaring up the draft boards of some teams -- but, I hope the Bills scouts aren't the overreacting knucklehead type.
LaTendresse showed he's an excellent route runner, can run to the open spots in a zone, can extend his arms out, and catch a football. His stat line, while very impressive, was made so as much by the lousy defensive scheme and total inability to adjust it during the game (the Tech coaches were thoroughly out coached in that game), the poor play of Tech's secondary, the Tech equipment manager who apparently forgot to pack the long cleats for the slick track in a soggy Emerald Bowl, the good play of the Utah line, the great play of the unknown Utah QB...
Sounds like the Bills defense this year!
-
I seem to remember someone else having a sick bowl game--Josh Reed. I watched the Utah game and you are right, he looked pretty unstopable yesterday. I have no idea where he's projected in the draft but I think we all agree that both lines need to be addressed first. However if Moulds isn't going to be back next year we are going to need another quality reciever, I would rather see us address that issue through free agency though because WRs generally take a few years to develop.
Agreed! He might be a mid-round steal. Maybe at his size convert him to a Tight End?
-
I'm not saying the Billygoats need to waste a pick on yet another reciever - but this kid put on a clinic last night. LaTendresse caught 16 passes for 214 yards and an NCAA bowl record-tying four touchdowns against 24th ranked Georgia Tech. He was open on almost every play.
Utah also produced Carolina's All-Pro Steve Smith.

Mort was on the evening show (4-7) again yesterday and he was really
irritated about MM being in the list of coaches to be canned....He said MM
won 9 games in his 1st year as a coach...and the bills team is talented...
They have to make their adjustment and changes and move on....TD and
MM are here for the long haul...
I heard Mort on ESPN radio last night on the way home. He whined AGAIN about 10 defensive starters and coaching staff back and noone could predict the outcome. BLAH BLAH BLAH. He sound annoyed to be on this jokers show, asking about his buddies MM and TD rubbed him wrong.
Maybe we should hire Mort as a GM!

REPEAT AFTER ME
"SDS IS THE BEST!"

I wasted four months of my life as a recruiter for Robert Half. I had to interview 6-10 people a day. One guy came in and interviewed with me had no resume. He claimed I should hire him based on meeting him face-to-face. Another gentleman came in with a sparkling resume. When I called his references they all have him horrible reviews ,one hung up on me. One lady farted during our interview and another lady had the worse B.O.
Just a sample of the fun things I've experienced.

Mort has a man-crush on TD. You'll never get anything worth mentioning from his dribble...
-
DVD burner - I can now take the Tivoed stuff to DVD! Great for roadtrips with the kids...
-
Let's hire another Pittsburgh guy! Maybe that fat writer from ESPN?
-
sign Drew Haddad and see what he can do!

damn rookies and their posts...

there must have been 25,000 Cowboys fans at Bank of America Stadium for the Panthers/Cowboys game yesterday. I expect that from the fickle fans of Carolina...
-
it was a crap call. Makes you wonder if the NFL likes the big fix. The refs never called holding on the Cowboys and they were mauling the Panthers front four. I was watching the entire game and just couldn't believe they were missing those calls.
God I hate the Cowboys. if you like the Cowboys here, you are either a big redneck or black. Not to sterotype, but very very true...
Does anyone have a picky eater?

Tell him if he is not a good little boy, then Santa won't be bringing the Bills a new Head Coach. It will all be his fault...
