  1. I live in the Sardis Road/ Monroe Road Area. Tavern on the Tracks is right near Bank of America Stadium and is a Bills Bar. You also have Township Grille which is a Bills bar and restaurant in Matthews festival off Independence and 51 which is closer to you.

Fort Mill Tavern in Fort Mill, SC off hwy 160 is a Bills bar too. The owner, Danny was part-owner of Tavern on the Tracks. Good Beef on Wecks!

  2. Not in a million years.  Any sports team leaves Buffalo = death of that sport at the elite level for me.  Sabres leave Buffalo, I'll follow the Amerks and Aces.  BILLS leave Buffalo, Notre Dame is it.

    Hey Darin,

I watched the Hockey game Wednesday night with Derek, the head coach of the ECHL Charlotte Checkers. He told me the Aces won the Kelly Cup. He also raved they they are a very well run team. Congrats to you and your fellow Alaskans!

  3. And SC, thats pathetic that you'd give up DTV because oyu think the bills are nto going to be good. Its the same as not buying a ticket to see a game, because you think they will lose.

    I guess u r right...

  4. Your point is well understood. All I ask is one thing: When the Bills start winning again...and they WILL start winning again ...please don't pop up again telling everyone you've been a fan since you were a little kid.

Nothing pisses off a fan more than hearing a guy who bailed on the team tell everyone how long he's been a fan.

Leave if you must, but your fan clock starts ticking when you come back.

When did I ever say I was going to stop being a fan? The only thing I've bailed on is not shelling out $250!

  5. The NFL doesn't want it on cable because it's a hell of a lot harder to control blackouts, etc...across hundreds of cable companies than it is when they dealw ith ONE vendor.

Good Point. Isn't there a Directv hack for this?

  6. You absolutely did the right thing. You should only watch the Bills when they're winning and pay no attention to them, or the sport of football for that matter, when they're losing.

We'll let you know if things change.

I've been watching them lose for the past 6 years at $250 a pop. Thanks for making my point.

  7. Gregg bell gets like 230 yds, and Bills win to go 2-12, and I'm dam haapy. Problem is I was pretty liguored up, my boys were watching the Stillers at 4.00, and I couldn't move my right arm. Try driving some mountanious Western PA back rds with only left arm driving a manual Dodge colt . Pretty dumb idea, but I had to get my arm fixed. Came back that night with a cast from wrist to above elbow as I had broken a bone in my elbow, but I SAW THE BILLS WIN!!!!!!!!!

Greg Bell? That was in 1985 and was a great game. Where did you attend college in PA? I had the same problem, but was closer to Erie. Every Sunday was a crap-shoot. Either the Browns, Bills or Steelers were shown.

  8. Sports bars are nice, but being able to crash on your couch with the kids and watch the games was great. On the flip side, my boys learned daddy has some very colorful language and gets angry when the guys with the red helmets play,

Maybe its a testiment to growing up or realizing for the first time in 36 years that somthing is missing...

  9. I'm really on the fence. After seven years of NFL Sunday ticket, I cancelled the package today. With my luck, they'll pull a Sabres on me and make the AFC Championship game.

Am I the only one not thrilled with the offseason and not remoted excited for the season?

  10. Not a valid point.  They call themselves the CAROLINA Hurricanes.  And they're in the same state.  So it's like people from Springfield rooting for the New England Patriots.  Or people from Syracuse rooting for the Bills.

Vaild because I LIVE in Charlotte!!!! Geez

  11. MORE LIKE BUFFALO FANS ROOTING FOR THE CAVALIERS.

man. feels good to yell now and then.

Thanks - I feel much better. It drives me nuts down here when I tell people I've from New York they ask what part of the city. I tell them the Bronx. <_<

  12. <_<      Gotta love a hometown news anchor!

Pretty weak actually.  The "Norwood" comments were all the Carolina dopes could come up with down in their place too.  Is Buffalo going to show John Kasey kicking the ball out of bounds with 2 mins left vs. the Pats??

GOOD PEOPLE - THE CAROLINA PANTHERS PLAY IN CHARLOTTE, THE CAROLINA HURRICANES PLAY IN RALEIGH - A THREE HOUR DRIVE. IT WOULD BE LIKE BILLS FANS ROOTING FOR THE CLEVELAND BROWNS!
